Lake house vacation rentals in Portage Lakes

The home was exactly as described (including photos). Since we are from the area, we knew Portage Lakes is a great/quiet/beautiful area. Leslie did a wonderful job updating the home. Moring coffee to evening nightcaps, the decks provided an incredible atmosphere! We will be looking for this home every time we return to Ohio (o matter what the season)! Thanks for a great stay!!

Heather was very quick to respond. She left a binder full of good information if you’re unfamiliar with the area. The kids loved the board games as well.

This property was perfect for our family's Christmas week gathering! We had plenty of room and the hot tub was a huge hit! Amanda went out of her way to clean the property during the Holidays so we could have an early entry. We greatly appreciate that! We would absolutely recommend or rent this property again!

We traveled from Florida to Ohio to visit family and friends, and stayed in this great place in Portage Lakes. It was close to everything we needed, and at the same time felt very private because of the lush surroundings.

This very well may have been my BEST stay in all of my AirBnB experiences. Everything down to the T! I didn’t have to bother E one time. Everything we needed was there. The house had no issues and was in a great area. He also did the EXTRA leg work to let us know what was around us and it was very convenient for MY situation and story as it pertains to getting one of my little ones to school literally right down the street. All around GREAT experience. And we will be back SOON! ❤️

An absolutely lovely stay for a quick weekend getaway. Eileen and her team are amazing with communication and accessible very easily. The home is gorgeous, definitely has that modern touch with preservation of the older home vibe. We loved the woods leading down into the lake and would want to stay here again. The fire pit was great. The games for the kids was awesome. The tub was fantastic. Definitely would highly recommend this place for you and your extended family. Very nice and spacious interior in a quick nook of Ohio.

This was a wonderful place for our family to meet to celebrate the holidays. The house was comfortable, well-stocked with coffee and snacks, and the hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Our guy's weekend was great fun, thanks to the quiet and clean rental. We appreciated the hot tub and games, as well as the prompt and courteous communication from the hosts. When our coffee machine wouldn't turn on, they were there with a replacement remarkably fast, despite our finding a work around with the kettle. The small things make stays great - and we appreciated our hosts!

From the moment we sat down our first afternoon to relax and eat lunch in the living room we felt nothing but peace. As we ate a handful of birds and a few squirrels played outside the window by the bird feeder. This set the tone for the stay. The place is gorgeous and homey with tons of unique accent pieces. The kitchen and bath are up to date and have all of the modern conveniences you’d expect, while still maintaining the charm from the rest of the house. Eden was super quick to respond to all of my messages on the app. Checking in and out was really easy and convenient. Great place to stay and relax!

The house was great. It was clean and had everything that was on the listing, except someone didn't shut off propane to firepit, so there wasn't propane, but that is something she asked to be done when leaving. It was a peaceful, quiet area. We felt comfortable in the home, and to take walks. My teen fell in love with the place. Kelly was extremely responsive on any messages, answering in an extremely timely manner.

Had a wonderful time staying right on the lake. Be aware that there are a lot of stairs - not more than one flight; but a lot of transitional steps in between living areas. This might be relevant to anyone with mobility issues. Melanie was an incredible host and helped with all of our needs. The location is in a lovely neighborhood that is fun to explore. We really enjoyed the pier and kayaks provided.

We had a fantastic stay, highly recommend!! The place was super clean and fun to stay in. The description and listing photos were super accurate - right down to the barn cats outside! We all enjoyed watching them outside from the beautiful sun room, and the house was super clean and cozy inside. The coffee was good too.

The Aunt Granny was such a fun stay for my sisters birthday! It’s located so close to the National Park making hiking easy. These hosts make it so easy for you to have a good time here. Firewood, recommended places nearby, and did I mention they are dog friendly!? It’s pricey but has so many perks.

A group of my friends and I rented the home for one night to host our 5th Murder Mystery Game and we were blown away with how perfect this place was for it! We had plenty of space for the food we brought and everyone had a place to stay to sleep. It was nice and private, which is exactly what we were looking for. Some of my friends can get a little loud during these events, which is exactly why we chose this place for the lack of quiet hour restrictions. The space was extremely clean and well stocked with everything we would need, even cookies for us to enjoy upon arrival (which were delicious). A lot of us discussed possibly returning during the summer because we loved it so much!

We are 5-star Airbnb hosts ourselves and have very high standards and Cathy's Chippewahoo met or exceeded them all. Where do I start? First of all, spotlessly clean. Second, Cathy has thought of EVERYTHING anyone might need - I especially appreciated the Kleenex in nearly every room - it's amazing how many Airbnbs do not supply ANY Kleenex! Fully stocked kitchen and also bathroom. Comfy beds and lots of extra bedding. Since it's winter, we didn't get to take advantage of the lake but I did see that Cathy has supplied coolers, towels and everything one might need for a day at the beach. The decor is charming, the furniture is ever-so-comfy and high quality. We need to return in summer so we can take advantage of the cute porch/deck and fire pit. It was so quiet and peaceful there, even though in a neighborhood with close neighbors. Truly a 5-star experience.

super clean and cute on the inside. thankful for the colored porch lights. my only wish is that with it being such a hot week the a.c. would have been on prior to arrival. but overall a great stay ❤️

This place was exactly as described. The house was nicely put together and very comfortable. It has beautiful views and very quiet place. I would rent this place again. And, the Duber family was very responsive.

I saw a few negative reviews and was hesitant to book, however we booked anyway and I’m glad we did! Our host was amazing. The house is clearly old but a work in progress and fit our family perfectly! We were in town for my daughter to compete in a dance competition. Everything was at pictured, clean, and well kept. Hot water in the shower was hot on demand. Kitchen was small but worked perfectly for our little family. The outside/back yard area was quaint and we spent a decent amount of time relaxing on the front porch where you get a semi view of the near by lake!! 10/10 would recommend this listing and booking with this host! Thank you so very much for letting us use your home while away from ours.
