Village Homestay Panchase - Pokhara - Room 2

AntoineRating, 5 stars1 month ago
An unforgettable stay with an amazing, warm and welcoming family. The village is beautiful, full of fascinating history. Quick tip: learn some Nepalese basics before you arrive, because communication can be a challenge! (I worked my Nepalese for now)

The Ram Room: Beautiful Lakeview Private Room

EliahRating, 5 stars8 months ago
Words cannot describe how blessed I was to follow my intuition and come to stay at the Nar-Bis Hotel. First the hotel is gorgeous. Every detail is throught through and highest quality, from the beddings to the plumbing, the rooms are high end. Made with traditional materials, just like the whole building, in beautiful red brick. All this for an extremely affordable price. Second, the view is insanely beautiful. Overlooking the Fewa Lake, and surrounding hills. A few minutes away from the hustling and noisy Pokhara, but super close still, you can rest and enjoy the best of Nar-Bis: M. Santosh’s family. Him, Mrs Chandra, and Miss Nita just go above and beyond in every way, and you instantly feel at home. The food is delicious, and enjoyed with a vista you won’t find anywhere else. Now, the miracle: M. Santosh is an incredible biker (with his Himalayan Enfield), guide, and human being. Going with him to Mustang was just one of the highlights of my life, that I intend to repeat.

Himalayan Yoga Retreat Farm

KrishnaRating, 5 stars98 months ago
If you are into hammocks, yoga, meditation, sound healing, being away from the city bustle, vegetarian food, farming, having kitchen access, and gracious hosts then you have found your Pokhara destination. Access to a yoga studio and kitchen is a huge plus. Rooms are basic but spacious and romantically rustic. They have yoga classes and retreats available, though we were free to practice our own. Great value altogether for what you have access to. Also on the way up to Sarangkot if you're feeling in the mood for a good 2-3 hour hike. A little hard to find at night but they are excellent with communication.

Experience Nepali Culture in the Village Homestay

Sum YuetRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We are Hong Kong tourists, and the first stop in Nepal is Kathmandu. Arriving at Community Homestay in the bustling city is like walking into paradise. The house is simple and comfortable, and the door opens to a terrace-style corridor, and you can see the white snow-capped mountains by the railing!Walk up a floor for breakfast, watch the snow-capped mountains, and watch the swallows fly around. Life is good. The owner's family treated us like family, made dinner with us, harvested tender leaves to feed cattle and sheep, and took photos in ethnic costumes, allowing us to experience local life. Walking up to the rooftop at night, the sky is full of stars, and the bright Orion in the city often becomes the main character, but here, it is just one of thousands of stars. There are many things that are hard to explain, you have to come and experience the joy in person. This Homestay is in a great location, with snow-capped mountains at the breakfast spot, and colorful houses and green mountains on the other side. On the way in, I saw the owner's thoughtful flower and grass fences, the room was clean, the blanket was soft and thick, and it smelled like the sun. The owner let us blend into their daily lives, teaching us how to cook local food, making butter from milk bottles, going up the mountain to experience mowing, sitting on the floor to eat, etc. There was also a dance experience, but the family member who was supposed to host it got sick, so it didn't happen. The temperature difference between day and night was so great that the family woke up in the middle of the night to drink the cold water they had drunk before. The owner knew he had a fever, so he made hot tea and gave us a big bowl of hot water at night, very considerate. Afterwards, they gave us local ethnic costumes and accessories after breakfast, helped us dress up, and did a local farewell ceremony before sending us off, giving us flower rings, belts, hats, etc. Just the natural scenery of sitting alone is worth going again, not to mention that many of the vegetables served are grown by the owner, and the seasoning is good. Although the fruit is not self-cultivated, it is very sweet. Even people who don't like apples usually eat more. The simple and vegetarian meals here are good for the stomach and intestines, and it's no wonder that foreign tourists choose to stay for a month and a half.

Tranquility on the outskirts ;Yoga Retreat Pokhara

RichardRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Just what I was looking for, peaceful and quiet and friendly staff and guests. The yoga classes, meditations are great - but optional. The dining room is lovely with attentive staff. There's not a lot of variation, the meals are well-prepared, vegan and many vegetables are grown in the gardens below. There's view spectacular, all the more so when the sun shines. There are several walks and Ishwor has suggestions and will make arrangements for outings, some led by himself! Lest I forget, the massage available is divine.

Mahadevi - Twin room w/ Ensuite

VadimRating, 5 stars103 months ago
One of the most beautiful and quiet places I've stayed in Nepal. Hosts are very helpful and can provide anything needed including delicious food. Hot shower is a little difficult but also can be arranged, which is a small trade considering the rest that this place provides.
