Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Poitou-Charentes

One of the best rental properties we have ever used for all sorts of reasons. Nicola was an excellent host who was always very responsive and helpful. The house is set away from a tiny village in a quiet part of the region but this was perfect for us. Lots of space for our two children to play in. The property has been appointed beautifully. I would not hesitate returning.

What a great place to stay with friends and family. Plenty of space, and really well equipped. Even more space than we expected from the listing, with loads of room for dining and sitting and relaxing. Nice bedrooms and bathrooms. Highly recommended!

I've stayed at a lot of Airbnb's - more than 30. So when I say Allison & David were the best hosts I've ever had, it means something. The day we arrived, they greeted us at the door, introduced us small and friendly chihuahuas, and showed us around the place. The interior was in amazing shape, especially for a 350 year old building! They had bread with homemade jam for us in the fridge (delicious) which we enjoyed over our 3 days there. Me and my travel companions loved chatting with them in the morning and getting local tips, including several restaurant recommendations. On a day where we had transportation issues, David was grabbing his keys to bring us down the road before we even had a chance to ask. The home was truly beautiful but the hosts really made the trip for us. I know we would love to come back if we ever have a chance.

We had a warm and smiling welcome from Anna and Joy with all the instructions that needed to know like opening the pool! They ended up giving us the best places to visit around. The house is warm like the hosts, with well-made beds and bath towels. We even had a small package of chamallow to melt in the fire pit. Our stay was great despite the slightly gray weather. You can go without fear, you won't be disappointed! Thanks Anna and Joy!

Nice cosy place, simple and pretty. The cat is friendly. The town has a unique charm to it. Beautiful walks by the rivers.

I spent a week with my friend at Marc's in one of his cottages, we were very well received and offered us a welcome drink and gave us the introduction of his estate! There are many amenities available such as a large swimming pool, gym, bike loan....... It's really a quiet and exotic place near his pond where my friend was proud to fish with Marc a carp Thank you!!!!!!!!!!☺ Marc is a superhost and a good cook where we were able to enjoy a pizza from his restaurant!!! We had a pleasant evening in the cabin nestled among the vineyards! The place is peaceful, we were able to recharge our batteries and start the year with peace of mind. The awakening with a view of the vineyard was amazing! We highly recommend this experience.

We spent New Year's Eve in this lovely cabin. The awakening was beautiful, a splendid sunrise on fields as far as the eye can see, and nicely frosted trees. Thanks to Luc and Anne for their warm welcome.

Excellent relaxing stay within the barl of Yohann and Maud. The common sanitary area immersed us in a camping atmosphere 😎✌️ The environment is quiet and peaceful. The owners gave us a lovely welcome and are incredibly kind. The bad weather didn't allow us to swim in the pool, which made us want to dive a head in it. Very beautiful experience 👍 All crowned by a beautiful associative project! 👏

We had a wonderful experience staying at Ronan's cabin, feeling a profound connection to nature, the environment, and ourselves. The space and its surroundings invite you into a slow-living atmosphere: the comforting warmth and scent of the wood-burning fire embraced us, while the taste of fresh, locally farmed products enriched our stay. We enjoyed listening to the sounds of the wind and wildlife passing through, and every evening was crowned by a breathtaking golden hour that painted the sky beautifully. The cabin and its interior match exactly the photographs provided, thoughtfully balanced and designed to celebrate life's simple pleasures. After seven days, we are already eager to return. Ronan's hospitality was heartfelt and genuine—always welcoming, attentive, and responsive throughout our stay. We feel incredibly grateful that he chose to share this beautiful home. Charlotte and her husband were present but discreet, the perfect balance. The space is independent and you can spend a nice evening in the Nordic bath after enjoying their magnificent meal basket :)

If you like the countryside , animals and a total change of scenery "2 steps from Bordeaux" go for it! What a treat to wake up surrounded by geese , a wallaby , an alpaca , adorable sheep and goats in such a soothing environment! Not to mention the usable H24 hot tub! A real must especially with children! We will soon return to sunny days enjoy the pool and a meal made on the fire pit in front of the pond!
