Beachfront vacation rentals in Point Lookout

We were delighted to have such a peaceful and private place to rest. Kirill had everything you needed to feel at home. We definately will come again.

We loved our stay at Frenchman's Folly. The cottage is homely, comfortable and very well equipped. It is fully fenced and is very well located at Point Lookout: close to beaches, shops, cafes and the pub. Lots of wallabies and birds to observe and wonderful walks to be had. There's a decent bus service, so with or without a car is fine. Linda is a great host too!

Renne, our host, is such a warm and humorous person. He patiently waited for our arrival, introduced us to this spotless and cozy room, and shared tips about the beautiful surroundings, including must-visit attractions and local delicacies. The location is perfect—close to the scenic waterfront promenade—and the area is peaceful and quiet at night, making it an ideal place to stay. What made our experience even more special was the bonfire gathering last night. Renne generously treated us to beer, invited me to try a Cuban cigar, and we had a lovely chat. He even gave my son thoughtful advice on getting along with his mum ❤️ (our 13-year-old is in his rebellious phase). It was one of the most delightful evenings we’ve ever had. If we return, this will undoubtedly be our top choice. I truly hope we can become friends.

We had a great time at Pat’s retreat. The house had everything we needed for a family beach holiday with our dog. It is very well-equipped and comfortable. The location is close to everything in Point Lookout- beaches, shops, and walkable to the start of North Gorge walk. We only used the car to transport all our beach gear down but you can certainly walk to everything. For us, Straddie is not a place to go when you want good Internet access. It is a place to have good nature based quality time with the family. We love having no Wifi and being able to switch off. There was enough mobile data to check the weather and the ferry timetable. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Stuart's Eclectic home. When we arrived we were greeted by a kangaroo in the back yard and had multiple bouncy visitors throughout our stay, as well as some beautiful kookaburras and curlews. It's so close to all the beaches and shops and walking trails, we walked or rode our bikes predominantly. Had a heatwave while we were there so the house was warm in the upstairs living areas in the afternoon as others have mentioned. A great comfortable beach shack and a lovely way to experience the beauty of what Stradbroke Island has on offer.

Beautiful home is an awesome location - walking distance to shops and beach. Highly recommend!

What a perfect space for a couple. Absolutely loved our stay here, right across from the beach and a Koala in the tree next door. With every single amenity and supply you could think of - and the best coffee machine that I've ever seen at an airbnb. Will definitely book again!

Our stay was Superb. Great location within minutes drive to the Harbour, waterfront and quality plus restaurants. Russell's house had everything you could possibly require. A full size refrigerator, latest coffee machine, all TV services and best of all the huge pool in the back yard. Crystal clear with lovely bushland out back. It was so relaxing and tranquil. I can't believe how relaxed I feel. Hassle free check in and check out. The nicest people and place I've come across in a long time. I would recommend this stay to everyone. We loved our time in Cindy’s apartment so much so, we extended our stay. Everything was perfect for our needs, we loved the pool, the local cafe and the beautiful outlook. The home was spotless and was very spacious for our family of four. We would highly recommend and definitely try to stay again if we are in the area. Thank you Cindy & Tony

I had a lovely stay at Sharyn’s apartment. She’s a very relaxed and generous host. Her place is comfortable and that balcony view is incredible. The salt-water swimming pool was also a high-light.

Beautiful view of the ocean and beach. We were two couples and there was plenty of room. Quite pricey, but an enjoyable stay and the pool was great for a cooling off dip. Very clean and modern. Lovely cool wind off the ocean at night. The bedrooms are upstairs, so don’t book if stairs are an issue.

Thank you for your hospitality, your Airbnb was well equipped. Our kids enjoyed the pool and basketball hoop! Location is perfect, we walked to the train station (10 minutes) to get a ride to the city! Walked in the mornings to the esplanade and mangrove board walk and evenings to restaurants and cinema! Most helpful host and great location! Thanks again!

Except for a couple of little things like a leaking shower… everything was excellent. The place, the location and the area.

Was a beautiful spot awesome place only problem was the wifi couldn’t connect first 2 days then started to work as we were about to leave i loved the outdoor bath but the outdoor toilet was probably not the best for my boy wanting to go toilet in middle of night but way more positives

What an amazing apartment and location. I cannot recommend this place enough. The location was perfect for walking to restaurants and coffee shops and easy access down a secluded trail to main beach to surf. Our down time was spent wildlife watching from the patio. We saw multiple kangaroos, a monitor lizard, and kookaburras. Not something we get to see everyday in the U.S! Book this place, you will not be disappointed!

My husband and I had a lovely 3 night stay. Everything was perfect and as described in this clean, simple but tastefully furnished studio. Access to beach for pre breakfast swims, and sunset dinner on the balcony were highlights. Comfortable bed, and decently equipped kitchenette. Highly recommend.
