Family-friendly vacation rentals in Playa Honda

We booked for a 5 night stay in March, just myself and husband. The villa is beautiful and obviously large enough for a bigger party. It is very spacious, spotlessly clean and completely private, sitting in its own large grounds. The patio areas had numerous comfy chairs in different areas and plenty of sun loungers. We used the pool every day. In terms of location, for us it was perfect as we would rather have peace and quiet and privacy rather than being in the middle of a town. It was only a short drive to either Puerto del Carman one way or Puerto Calero the other. This was our first time in Lanzarote so there was plenty for us to explore. We visited all of the architect/artist Cesar Manrique’s locations and these, along with the villa, were the highlights of our holiday. As others have noted, the track leading to the villa is bumpy but nothing that our hire car couldn’t handle. Note that there is a road mirror when leaving the track and turning right.

Lovely, private, well-equipped bungalow with reassuring security. Both the pool and jacuzzi were well-heated. It was a windy week but the pool area is quite protected from the wind. The bungalow was clean and the mattress comfortable. There are two very comprehensive folders which give an amazing amount of information on tourist attractions etc - by far the best I've ever seen. We stayed for a week at the end of October. Everything as expected and a really nice place with lots of room. Great entertainment with pool table and table tennis. The pool was initially very cold and we thought it was supposed to be heated, but after informing Arantxa a man arrived later that day and whatever he did gave us a warmer pool the following day. We should have messaged sooner. All in all a very good stay and would recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at Casa Lola. The villa was pristine, incredibly spacious, and well-equipped. The pool was excellent, and the BBQ area made for some great outdoor dining. The location, surrounded by stunning mountains, added to the peaceful and scenic atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Our third year in Casa Tara speaks for itself :) We love the beautiful house for its size & amenities, the walk to the city with everything you need to live for a longer time – gym, great restaurants, the hiking route to Puerto Calero – the list is long. Mara and everyone associated with the house are so nice and always available – you couldn't ask for better conditions for a workation. We will be back ;) Thanks Mara and team for such a good time!

Loly and her son a wonder we spent 4 days there, she leaves you food in the fridge for breakfast and not to mention the doughnuts made by her.. a hostess like I had never seen. I'm sure if we go back to the island, that I'll be back, I'll stay here again! You are a charm hopefully everyone was like you!!! From Valladolid I will recommend you to everything you ask me!!! A fantastic property! Absolutely loved our stay. Quiet neighbourhood, yet unbelievably close to the beach and the seafront restaurants and shops. Villa is a great size--big kitchen and sitting room, unique bathroom, nice size bedrooms, quirky architecture -- a perfect oasis! The pool area is so tranquil. The swimming pool and hot tub is much larger than expected, and both are in perfect condition and clean. The outdoor furniture was great too! Host was helpful and friendly. Property is private and secure. Cannot wait to return!

This is a five star villa with individual architecture, spotlessly clean, well equipped and well maintained. The pool area is especially nice with lovely palm tress providing shade and shelter. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. If you are hoping for a peaceful stay you need to know there is a large holiday park next door which sometimes has musical entertainment on which can get noisy.

Peaceful relaxing location. Spacious accommodation getting sun most of the day. Close to shops public transport and restaurants so car not essential to stay there. Nice bedrooms and shower rooms. Kitchen well equipped. This is a really nice place to stay!

Simply amazing! Best place to stay if you want to visit the island! I felt like I was at home! I hope to come back soon

Lucia's apartment is clean and cozy, with a small patio (we just loved having breakfast here and sitting there in the evening with a glass of wine). It is located on a quiet street, so nothing interferes with sleeping/resting. A little far from the beach, but if you have a car, this is not a problem. The hostess Lucia was very attentive and hospitable. We liked everything and had a wonderful rest. We will be happy to come back!

We really enjoyed our stay in Caleta de Famara. The best part of the apartment was its location, very close to the beach. The house was clean and had all the essentials. Recommended stay!

We stayed with Pepa and Roland for a week and it was wonderful. The views are phenomenal and the place is very nice. Through the large windows and the glass door you always have a beautiful view. 😊 In the apartment itself there was everything we needed for a week - We didn't miss anything. Since I had to work for a few days, good Internet was important to me - video calls etc. were no problem at all and worked wonderfully. We will be happy to come back. 😊

We loved Marta’s apartment which was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We were especially impressed by how friendly her neighbours were; always ready for a chat and recommending restaurants, etc, Matagorda was an ideal location for us; a great variety of restaurants nearby, beautiful beaches, easy walking to Carmen and bus stops.

The villa is fantastic it is big homely and clean. Anything you need is in the accommodation it is like being at home. Communication is great really helpful with good instructions. It is so good we booked again for Christmas whilst we were there. Alex is great and we met the owner who is lovely. The place is private great for sitting out in the sun and there is a sea view The location is where we would want to be 5 minutes drive from the airport and 5 minutes walk to the shops. The beach is a 2 minute walk down a hill. Can't wait to go back thanks Alex.

We loved everything about our stay- the stunning view, the cozy apartment with lots of space for 2 people, and the caring owners. We will definitely come back.

Lovely private place, beautiful beach right beside us, lovely restaurants with amazing views

We stayed at Eva’s place for about one week. Two days we were laying on the beach and other days we visited the whole island. Traveling is very convenient. 5min drive to the mainroad directing to the North. 5min walk to the seaside and 2min walk to the supermarket. There are not many restaurants within 5min walk but the host prepared everything that we can make some simple dinner. We were here with our 9months old son. He adapts quite fast with the house and comfortable sleeping in host prepared cot.

An amazing house, beautifully furnished with fabulous swimming pool and outdoor space. It was like staying in our own private Parador. We felt very privileged to have stayed here. Susana was an excellent host and very responsive.

Great stay in a top villa. Traveled with our 3 young children who all had a blast. Villa is very spacious, has everything you need, with lovely mountain/sea view from the terrace. Sam a great host and very responsive. We hired a car to make the trips to Lidl and old town a little handier, to see a little of the island, and on return there was parking always available right beside the villa. Glad we hired a car but you could easily walk to everywhere if your kids are maybe touching adolescent stage. Walk to the beach and main strip is 10-15 mins. Will be recommending to others and hope to go back. 👍🏻

Our stay at Villa Maria Cecilia was excellent. The villa was spotlessly clean, spacious, and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing visit. It easily accommodated six adults, and the setup was very suitable for a 9-month-old, making it a great option for families :) The location was ideal, just a short walk to the seafront, shops, and restaurants. The check-in process was smooth and hassle-free, with clear instructions provided. Johanna was a fantastic host, providing quick and helpful communication that made the entire experience stress-free. We especially appreciated the well-stocked kitchen and thoughtful touches throughout the home. Everything was well-maintained, and it was clear that great care had been taken to ensure a welcoming and enjoyable stay. We highly recommend this property and would gladly stay again in the future :)

Beautiful villa, all amenities you could need and more!! Clean, comfortable, spacious and peaceful. Lovely outside area with pool plenty of sunshine all day long. Isabel was the best host, she was super responsive and very attentive and helpful. Perfect for a family holiday. Highly recommended indeed.

We had a wonderful stay at Gabriela’s place. It was spacious and very well equipped the drinking water tap was a welcome touch. The single mattresses were a bit wobbly but the double bed was very comfortable. Gabriela is a kind and responsive host. The area is super walkable with supermarkets and restaurants nearby. I would say I felt like the heated pool could have been heated a little more but Gabriela did warn me that it would be a maximum of 24C. I bought a wetsuit for my 2 year old but she was still shivering unfortunately. I would stay again but not pay for the pool.
