Vacation rentals with a pool in Platanes, Rethymno

We had a great family holiday in Plakias and its surroundings! Kurt's house is ideally located: quiet, above the village and close enough to the beach. The house is nicely divided and perfect for a family of teenagers. For us, it was the absolute highlight to grill on the roof terrace in the evening and watch the sunset. The pools are super looked after. The kids loved to bathe in the early evening in the autumnal darkness in the large illuminated pool. Kurt is a great host: very nice, attentive, helpful and very easily accessible! Thanks!

Especially Ourania - Dafnis mother and Malfada (Dafnis dog under the care of Ourania) really made us feel at home. She showed us what Cretan hospitality is including local food. Coming home in the evening and sometimes staying there during the day was always a pleasure - both under the wonderful Maulber tree in the courtyard and in the beautiful house. There were plenty of excursions - beautiful beaches and good food too. Thank you for the lovely stay!

Beautiful villa in a wonderful setting, the outside space is really spectacular. Everything you could need is available at the villa. We were staying with a 10m old and there were loads of baby items which made our trip so much easier. The hosts couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating and helped us with recommendations when we asked. Would highly recommend this villa. It’s also within easy driving distance to lovely places on the island.

A really relaxing vacation. The villa is very nice, well-stocked and equipped. Quality linens and soft beds. The outdoor area with pool and jacuzzi is spacious and cozy. Maria is very kind to welcome Guests and provide a lot of information about the surroundings and what to do. I recommend everyone to stay here and thank you again Maria for her kindness and availability.

We were a party of five, my wife and I and 3 30 year olds, our two twins and a son-in-law. We all couldn't say enough good things about this home: the view has to be one of the best on the whole island, relaxing, extremely private and immediately felt right at home. Starting and ending each day with that view, I didn't need anything else, but there is as much to do as you want. For example, just 6 minutes down the hill, you have the great little town of Platka with a few delicious local restaurants, market and a nice sports bar if you want a cocktail...like me. Another 10 minutes down the hill you come to Alymrida, the small coastal city that has nearly a dozen varied restaurants right on the water. 40 minutes away is the charming city of Chania, the jewel of Crete. This home is centrally located, 20+ minutes from the highway to go anywhere you wish to go...but keep in mind your leaving this view behind. I hope you enjoy it half as much as we did.

Fabulous house and location. Clean and stylish with very comfortable beds. Very handy for the beach and town and very close to the supermarket. An exceptionally beautiful part of Crete.

The house is simply gorgeous. Our family had a wonderful Christmas holiday here. The host was very generous with items in the refrigerator and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of recommendations of places to eat in the area. Michael met us in the driveway upon arrival and showed us everything in the house, that was very kind. Especially loved access to the washer and dryer because we were traveling with kids. It was too cold to use the pool, but if you are here when it is warm, it would be such delight.

We had a wonderful week at Lina’s villa. It really is a beautiful place with a fantastic view. Close to some fabulous beaches and countryside. Lina was super helpful and friendly and really responsive. The pool was gorgeous. Bedrooms really comfortable. It is about 3km from the village and the road does turn and wind but we got used to it pretty fast and it is not so narrow and mostly lit at night. It is semi detached and the other villa had visitors but they were pretty quiet and we did not feel disturbed. Very glad we chose it

Amazing place to stay, it was immaculate and very modern. The location to the pool and local amenities was fantastic. The studio was regularly cleaned and staff were on hand to contact should we need them. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

The villa stefania is perfect place to relax and visit the Rethymnon area. The appartment is very nice and clean. The swiming pull is beautiful. The breakfist is just PERFECT and different every morning. Thank you for your kindness 😊

Our stay at these apartments was simply amazing! Everything was exactly as pictured, if not better – spacious, beautiful, and stylish, with high ceilings and impeccable cleanliness. The apartment had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Our host, Stamatis, was incredibly friendly and helpful, providing excellent recommendations on where to go and what to buy. There’s a taxi stand and bus stop just steps away, as well as small stores with basic groceries nearby. The beach is only 50 meters across the road, with bars where you can enjoy food and use their sun loungers. There are also wonderful cozy tavernas close by with delicious food. We had a fantastic time and can’t wait to come back!

Bree is a great shame, her apartment is very beautiful and the view of the sea and the mountain is beautiful. The pool is large and quiet. I'll be back .

We really enjoyed our stay at Alexandros apartment . The garden is amazing & the host is professional & friendly . Alexandros was very helpful with everything we asked . The swimming pool is big & the garden furniture is very cozy . The appartement itself is very functional & only 10/15 mins drive from the old city . We highly recommend it .

Gorgeous lodge complex! Huge garden very well cared for! The pool is very big and always clean! The apartment is very convenient, large, comfortable equipped with everything a family with 3 children needs! It was quiet, and it was an ideal place for a relaxing holiday! It is very close to Rethymno to find restaurants and general shops. But you need a car, which for us wasn't a problem. The closest village (Pigi), for mini market, coffee, food is about 10-15 min walk, by car 2 min. Many thanks to Catherine for her kindness and discretion. He had made sure we knew everything needed for a pleasant stay! We hope to be able to visit the beautiful Pigi Paradise again!! P.S. One suggestion for improvement would be to replace the mattresses on the beds because they seemed too hard to me. If that really changed I would feel at home!!

The apartment is amazing and very clean, the surrounding is very calm and peaceful. The host is very respectful and very helpful, we had an issue and she was very responsive in fixing the issue immediately without delay. She’s very caring for her quests. Would definitely stay here again.

We spent almost 2 months at the Menelaos and everything was good. The apartment is in a peaceful neighborhood, not far from the center ( ~ 15 minute walking). The place is simple, but it has everything you might need for a longer stay. The outdoor space is very nice, we enjoyed mostly the barbeque as we stayed during the winter, but the pool is definitely worth it during summer time. We both work remotely and never had issues with the internet. For us the place was perfect as you have everything you need at walking distance (gym, weekly farmers market, coffee shops and restaurants, veterinarian etc). Menelaos was available all the time for any question/issue that we had. Definitely recommend the place for longer or shorter stays.

Absolutely amazing host and villa. Kosta and his office were brilliant and when we got to the villa we were met by Stella. She could not have done more to make our stay any better; communication was seamless, so many local suggestions, local produce left throughout the stay, the loan of a stoneware pot to use in the pizza oven over tonight to slow cook vegetables, honestly everything and more. The villa is exactly like the photos - stunning. Breath taking location with a view we all miss now we are home. The layout of the villa is excellent; it is beautifully decorated, the outside kitchen area is perfect and much used. The landscaping is wonderful, and the pool is gorgeous. The villa was meticulously cleaned throughout our stay and the pool and garden maintained to the highest standard. We had the most wonderful holiday; thank you so much Stella and your team for everything.

We absolutely loved our stay in Villa DIMI - a magnificent house , so beautifully designed and decorated - perfect for our family and felt like a little resort on its own. The house has absolutely everything you need for a very comfortable stay and was always so wonderful to come back to everyday. The area is a residential area and definitely needs a car to be able to explore nearby beaches or shops Thank you for a great stay - we loved our time in your beautiful home . And thank you to Andreas for all his help along the way. Also to your lovely cleaning lady who was very lovely and kind.

Great week spent just relaxing and had everything we needed. Pool was a great relief to the heat and visiting the local supermarket meant we cooked several times int he bbq and had breakfast looking over the views. Communication was great through out with some good recommendations. Loved that we had a mid week set of new towels / sheets and rubbish removed. It was just what we wanted - relaxed in a lovely location close to amenities . Thank you x

Great villa with everything you need. It is fairly close to Chania center, about 15/20 minutes by car. The villa was very clean and they even offered us to clean the villa and change towels and bed sheets during our stay. Effie was very welcoming, with some gifts and local products when we arrive and when we left. They were very reactive, and provided with what we needed. For example, they came to give us a baby bed and chair as we did not indicate we were coming with one. The garden is spacious, with some great area to have an aperitif or lunch/dinner: there is a big table in the shadow which is a plus. We strongly recommend and would come back with pleasure.

The best villa there is. Host were very very accommodating and kind, once of the best people you’ll meet. They gave us a welcoming meal and it was delicious beyond words. We will definitely highly recommend and come back in the future. Thank you again for the great stay. ❤️

We had such a lovely stay at Manolis’ house. Our family of 7 (incliding a 2 & 5 year old & my 75 yo mom) all loved our visit. Manolis met us and gave us such a warm welcome with so many local tips and recommendations. It was even more beautiful then the photos and full od beautiful family heirlooms. The village of Amari is beautiful and peaceful and the villa is perfectly located in the middle of the village right next to the taverna. The views are amazing, the pool an numerous patios are gorgeous with stunning views and it is so peaceful and private. There were so many lovely complementary foods from the local vendors on arrival which made us feel right at home. Rumy cooked us the most amazing meals we had in the region that were so incredibly delicious! Do not miss her meals! She modified multiple dishes for our dietary restrictions. She is truly a masterful chef and such a wonderfully warm person. Our kids loved the home, pool, outdoor cats & Rumy! Everyone was so kid friendly!

Manolis is a super host, always available to provide directions to better places to visit on his beloved island, also because they are so many and all beautiful. The Calergi residence is a quiet and well-kept place, the rooms are all air-conditioned, the pool although small still gives you the opportunity to cool off both when you return from the beach and if you want to stay in the room one day. Close to the center of a characteristic village and starting point for every trip you will want to do on the island. Thanks Manolis and see you soon.

we had a great vacation in the villa roumeli. Very friendly hostess, who is probably provided for the guests. the accommodation offers everything you need. It is cleaned several times a week. Beautiful small and quiet Greek place which is easily accessible. It is even possible to walk to the coast in half an hour. Thank you
