Tom was the most gracious host one could ask for. From booking to checkout, Tom made himself available for any and all questions. He provided some insights about finding the house and tips on maneuvering onto the property. He personally met me and my family at check-in, provided us some insights on the property and the area, and helped with access to the lake. The house and grounds are immaculate. Clean, well stocked kitchen, and fresh linens. The property has everything you could ask for with lake, pool and hot tub access. . The private setting is the ultimate topping on the cake. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to connecting with Tom for future trips!

Stayed here with a group of friends - lots of beds so we each got our own, which is rare. The house was well stocked - kitchen, towels, etc. We enjoyed using the indoor/grotto hot tub. Cute shops & restaurants in the area (15-20ish mins). Thanks for a great stay!

This is our second time staying here and it did not disappoint. It’s a beautiful place to get away.

We were grateful to find this little gem on our visit to Pine Grove to reunite with family. Everything as described, loved the deck where we enjoyed our morning coffee, then the hot tub in the evening. Comfortable beds, a very complete kitchen, plenty of dvds to choose from. A lovely bottle of wine waiting for us after a long day of travel as well as a sampling of delicious ice cream to get us next door to try out the rest of our favorite flavors. Walking distance to Graze which turned into our favorite breakfast place. Roadhouse coffee another nice place. Local grocery had great variety if you didn’t want to make a trip to Jackson. We fell in love with Pine Grove and its surrounding area. Plenty of trails to hike, close to wineries, we even took a day trip to Calaveras to see the giant sequoias. Our family reunion turned into a memorable vacation. Thanks Stew for sharing your cozy chalet!

I stayed here to relax before a road trip with my brother after long connecting flights and delays. This place was so beautiful. I had a simple night but it was peaceful. The pool, waterfall, fire place. Everything is so pretty together. Inside is full of dreamy art. Felt like a cozy cottage in an oasis. Would love to stay here again sometime when it is warm. Raymond was a fantastic host! Gave very clear instructions. Had a very cozy and clean place. The yard was very scenic and artsy feeling! Great vibes. Plus I got some of the best sleep I've ever gotten here!

Little touches adding our names on chalk boards and our fur babies and even left blankets for them. All amenities were great. Very comfortable chairs and bed. Definitely will be booking again

Lindsey was a remarkable host. Answered all my questions even before our stay and during our stay. Very friendly to work with. We sold our house and was moving out of state. We were in limbo for 7 days with 3 dogs. We felt so welcomed there. very private. Our dogs adjusted quickly which we were grateful for. We will be back again in April and we will be staying there.

This place is both adorable and functional. It is so well thought out; every little need is met... from the nice plate and glassware to the tv with every option, the perfectly fenced pup yard, the half & half for your coffee (no Coffeemate, yay!), and even cookies for dessert and sweet breakfast nibbles. The place is spacious, the bed is super comfy, the kitchenette has everything you need. The surrounding gardens are lovely and, again, we appreciated the private space intended for the studio. This quiet location is both centrally located and right next to wide open spaces where you can hike, walk with your pup, etc. Owners communicate quickly. This place is a gem!

This was not our first stay at the Story Homestead and won’t be our last. The house is perfect for our needs, mini french bulldog, and making meals. It is always exceptionally clean; guest instructions are clear. The surroundings are beautiful and so peaceful with lots of delightful bird watching and walks. The fireplace insert is very warming with plenty of wood provided. We are looking forward to staying again in the spring.

The cabin was perfect for our family weekend. The cabin was very well laid out for our entire family with space for three families and enough room to all be together. We all agree we would love to go back and spend more time there.

Loved our stay. The house was very comfortable and well appointed. Elliot gave great instructions on finding the home. We BBQ'd the first night. played games and generally had a great time. Everything was very comfortable. Highly recommend, we would definitely go back and stay.

This is the first time we try to bring our 4 years old to ski. She had a great memory to live in Catherine's amazing home. She is super friendly and patiently with all our questions. Also she has tons of acknowledge about this area. Also I was shock by how much DVD funs she has in the house. Also lots of toys. It is really perfect place for family trip like us. Definitely will visit again. Only one tip for future visitor to the amazing housing. If you drive your Tesla, make sure you have the right switch plug (Ask Catharine before you come). They have L2 charging.

We loved our stay at Fawzia's Casita! It was very easy to find, easy to access and come & go. The surrounding neighborhood/drive to the location was beautiful. Upon entering, it looked very clean and cozy. Very roomy space. The hosts were responsive whenever we had a question. Would recommend!

We had an amazing experience at the cabin. The views were breath taking and it truly made for a relaxing weekend. It was very kid friendly and there was so much to do related to being outdoors. The hosts were very accommodating. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

Prior to check in all the way through check out, Christian was an extremely communicative host. I really appreciate that there were very clear instructions for everything. Some of us were flying in from out of state and Christian was very accommodating with an early check in. This place is huge and spaciously laid out. We hosted dinner for 12 people multiple nights and with so much space, we never felt like we were on top of each other. Our group spent a ton of time outside-enjoying the relaxing pool and lounging area. The property is maintained and beautiful. We had 3 kids with us who were obsessed with this house! Christian has so much for the kids to do that they never got bored. Seriously - between the cinema room upstairs, pool, water slide, sports outside, foosball, there was never a dull moment which is really saying something for kids! I’d stay here again when I’m in town in a heartbeat. Thank you Christian and your family for the wonderful stay, we sincerely appreciate it

I rented Don and Kathy’s home to throw a baby shower. Keep in mind there is an event fee if you’ll have guests joining for the day, but it was very reasonable, especially for everything this house and our hosts gave us in return. There was so much open green space, greenhouse was more spacious and beautiful than what it looked like in the photos, and you can tell they put a lot of love and care into this family home. It was very clean and guest ready, but you can tell people actually live here and IMO it felt made it feel warmer compared to company owned Airbnbs that feel sterile. When they say their kitchen is fully stocked, they mean FULLY stocked. Don and Kathy are excellent hosts as well - they were so responsive and responded personally to all our messages and very quickly. When you get close the roads are not lit, so for some it might be a little scary to navigate in the dark. Just drive slow and once you get to where GPS drops you off it’s easy to see the house from the road!

The place was spacious, clean, and so comfortable. Best of all, it was at the perfect distance for cycling to Sac State. We were able to enjoy cooking in the exceptionally well-equipped kitchen and even took advantage of the garden and splash pool. Also, I was grateful to have a desk to work at. Honestly, there were so many wonderful aspects of our stay that I could go on and on. Needless to say, we loved every minute of it. Thank you to our host, Marwa, for providing such with a fantastic experience!

My wife and I really enjoyed this spot as a home base for adventures in the sierra foothills. Highlights included ease of in and out, the complimentary wine (and what appeared to be very local eggs!), and of course the hot tub - just remember advance notice to heat it up. Bob and Jeanne were very responsive to requests to up the heat during our winter stay. And when we weren’t out tubbing or hiking, we appreciated the tv/movie options. Would definitely stay again.

Excellent option for a family/group wanting to stay together and possibly have a few people over for small gatherings. We booked this house because my family wanted to stay together while we were in town for a funeral. It was perfectly located for where we wanted to be. We found the house and yard to actually be bigger than it appears in the pictures! We accidentally missed the note that the pool isn't heated, but we were okay with that because the days were warm enough to take a few cooling dips! The area is very close to the highway, but also very peaceful and quiet and we were able to spot the turkeys and the peacock that live in the neighborhood. It was nice to have two full baths available for the size of our group. We also took advantage of having washer and dryer available. The only negative that we found was that there was one bed that nobody was able to sleep in because it was very uncomfortable. We were able to overcome that issue by having one person sleep on the couch.

comfortable home, matches photos, responsive host, cutest neighborhood! we were in town for a marathon and house was perfect for our needs. well-appointed kitchen had everything we needed for simple breakfasts + lunches. checked out some good restaurants for dinner within few minutes drive. great coffee shop just a couple blocks away. adorable neighborhood to take a walk or run in. beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean. host was very responsive for anything we needed.
