Cottage vacation rentals in Pioneer Valley

Darcy is a top host. We loved the in-wall USB chargers and the bluetooth speaker, the welcoming wine, the beautiful layout and decor, the cozy feeling with lots of space for us to sprawl out and the high quality of the renovation. I felt secure and cozy and everything from the hot tub to the sheets were super clean and fresh. We will be back in the summer for kayaking on the lake. Thank you Darcy!

Joktan was great! Came out in middle of a massive snowstorm to remedy the hot tub being low on water promptly and was always responsive and accommodating. Amazing host & friendly!

We had a great stay in the Cottage - Julia was very responsive when I asked questions and innkeeper Lucas was very nice. We enjoyed the fireplace greatly, which was stacked with logs and newspaper ready to go when we arrived. It snowed while we were there, and the walkway to the Cottage was shoveled while we were out to dinner so that we could get back without tredging through snow. When I woke up in the morning they had cleaned off my car of the snow. Very thoughtful!

Katie’s place was a great little spot, just a 15 minute walk from my sister. The attached cottage had everything we needed and the host was responsive when we reached out. I would stay here again.

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin is located in a beautiful, peaceful area and has all of the amenities one could want. Our original plan was to explore the surrounding area but we ended up spending our whole trip in the cabin because it was so lovely. Matt was a great host and very responsive. Highly recommend!

Scott is a wonderful host. The house is just down the hill from his house but a large privacy screen was erected to separate the two and create a smaller nook in this open space. I never felt uncomfortable. Hot tub worked great. Interior had all that you could need. Two things to be aware of for your stay: We arrived later than planned on Friday and did not bring basic food stuffs. When we woke Saturday AM wanting a latte we had trouble finding a very quick to reach store. everything is reachable but we forgot it’s VT not my home town. Note also that cell service is nonexistent on AT&T (can’t speak for the other carriers). The WiFi was down and so I walked up and knocked on Scott’s door (unthinkable today!) for some help at 8:30 PM (the nerve of me!) to get in touch. Scott immediately came down to the house to rectify the situation. We had no problems from there. Fun house, great place. So quiet. Wish we had some More time to explore the trails, art and restaurants. Recommend!

Second stay at Bills place. We had such a fantastic time. Rang in the new year singing karaoke, playing pool and shuffleboard in the game room. So much fun! For snowboarding and skiing, it's a beautiful 30 minute drive to Mt. Snow. The house is immaculate with a perfect and roomy layout for large families + friends! Bills house is by far our favorite Air B&B to rent. Thanks Bill!!

This place was an excellent location for basing our trip to the Berkshires. We liked looking out over the lake, and walking around the community.

I love Lake Mattawa, but my visit was on a snowy week in December, and I’d only ever been to the other side of the lake, and in the summer. The little cottage was well appointed, nice and cozy, —quite a beautiful little place to be snowed-in looking out. The kitchen is well equipped, the furniture is comfortable, internet and electricity stayed connected during the snow and wind storms, plenty of towels, etc. Patti was very responsive to my questions and needs.

This home is just as cozy as it looks! We enjoyed the quiet comfort the home brings- plenty of sitting space, fireplace, extra sitting room, and well stocked kitchen supplies! Close enough to towns for cute shopping, but recommend getting groceries on the way in so you don’t have to leave! 10/10 stay and the host was so nice.

This a wonderful, quiet cottage in the woods and we immediately felt right at home. Our host was friendly and clear in her communications. The home was clean, well appointed and exactly what our family was looking for! Will absolutely be back again if we are in the area!

This place is bright with lots of natural light. Well equipped with very nice sun room and patio. Close to Old Sturbridge Village where the Christmas show was excellent. We had a relaxing and cozy dinner at the Duck. Gwendolyn was a gracious host keenly attentive to our arrival, weather, comfort and more. You will enjoy the cottage.

We loved staying at Suzy’s place for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. It was a perfect cozy atmosphere with the fireplace and snow outside. We brought our small dog who loved playing fetch in the yard. Suzy gave us recommendations on where to pre-order Thanksgiving dinner and was flexible on check in time! Kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked and spotless. We felt right at home and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway.

Another perfect stay at Laurie's. This is our third stay over Thanksgiving week and we always are sad to leave. My family absolutely loves staying here. There is plenty of room to gather or to have some alone time. Beds are comfortable. Kitchen has everything you could need and is always pristine. Check in is stress free. Area is peaceful and serene. Lee is a lovely New England town. Downtown is less than a 5 minute ride. Many restaurants within a 5-20 minute ride. Outlets are 10 minutes away. Looking forward to our stay next year.

As my family are lovers of history and antiques, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Stone School! It was clear there was a lot of thought put into the curation of the decor and preservation of history here. The views were serene and picturesque. We were lucky enough to have 4 inches of snow while we were here and saw a deer and her fawn frolicking in it, which made our stay even more magical. A must try restaurant while here is the Old Forge, great menu and delicious cocktails. Our last night we made dinner and had everything we needed at our disposal. Only a 18 minute drive to the Shaker Museum, 23 mins to Norman Rockwell Museum, and right around the bend to My Greylock. Rich and Cheryl are such great hosts. Highly recommended stay!

The views of the lake and fall foliage during our stay were breathtaking! The full moon rising over the lake was stunning too. The deck and living areas all offered amazing light and views. The kitchen was great and we ate most meals there but also enjoyed Zucchini and Proprietors Lodge restaurants nearby. Location was ideal for day trips north and south to Mt Greylock, N Adams, Lenox, and Great Barrington. It was a wonderful stay for us and we’d love to return.

Brenda place was beautiful with a beautiful view especially when we work up to some light snow on the lake. The layout of the house was ideal for us with the big open living room and great updated kitchen. So many comfortable beds for us to use. Our favorite places were the sun room and dining rooms looking out at the lake, Brenda was was kind and helpful and adding a Christmas tree for us was a beautiful touch . Highly recommend, one of our best for sure, thank you

Very peaceful, enjoyable stay in Ashfield. The home is beautiful, with lots of cool little touches. We loved the gas stove and looking out the large window from the comfy couch and rocking chair. Poetry fans in particular will love the book collection (lots of Mary Oliver!). Ate at both Country Pie Pizza (takeout) and the Ashfield Lake House and enjoyed our meals. Perfect, quick escape in a really nice place.

We felt so comfortable and relaxed. Bob’s home had everything we needed for our stay, including plenty of fun games for the kids. The neighborhood is perfect for a family vacation. We hope to be back in the future!

We had a pretty short stay, but it was great all around. Special thanks to the hosts for helping me retrieve a flannel with sentimental value that I'd left behind; seriously, they were so great about it. I recommend this place and these people highly!
