Vacation rentals with breakfast in Penacova

It's a very nice studio, very well located, very comfortable to park the car. The owner has the detail of leaving you bread of the day early in the day and in the refrigerator you leave some essentials for breakfast or snack. If I come back to Coumbra, I will definitely repeat.

We had a lovely stay at Eduardo’s studio. Its a lovely space in a great location. Eduardo is a fantastic and very responsive host. His friendly assistance and the lovely gesture of the fresh bread left outside the door every morning made it all the more special. Highly recommended

Carlos’ and Helene’s apartment is exquisite. Only 10 mins from Coimbra it is a beautifully restored cottage that is warm and inviting, but the most welcoming component is without doubt the hosts. Helene met us at check-in and in addition to giving us the full rundown on the property and it's surrounds, encouraged us to enjoy the surrounding bounty of fruit and produce, showed us the leisure equipment they offered and walked us through the use of electrical amenities. Next came the best surprise of all. The kitchen. Because our stay exceeded 3 nights our magnificent, thoughtful hosts had stocked the fridge with continental breakfast options and offered us locally produced honey and Olive Oil. It was such a thoughtful and generous act that really touched us. During our time both Carlos and Helene regularly touched base to see if all was ok and on leaving wished us safe travels for the rest of our journey. I can’t recommend it highly enough, do yourself a favour and stay.

I recommend the space for those who want a vacation to rest with the family. The accommodation is well organized and clean and has all the amenities to spend a few days. The pool is an added value, especially so you like to spend time in the water or sunbathing. Mr. João is an affable person, always concerned with the well-being of the guests.

great location. well stocked fridge with eggs, milk, yogurt as well as the morning delivery of bread. Very accommodating host as well. we had a great stay!

My parents and I stayed in the family suite just one floor up from the ground level entry. The suite was spacious and clean, the kitchen had all we need, and Eduardo was so nice to leave breakfast/lunch items for us, including the daily bread deliveries. All so much appreciated, as it helped us start our days exploring on foot the great University city of Coimbra! Location was a definite plus. Just a short walk from the apartment to the University area, and then from there can explore the maze of streets and alleys and stairs and plazas that we found so cool about Coimbra. If going to Fado Ao Centro or dining/shopping at Praça do Comércio, also walkable. Just be able to deal with stairs and cobblestones and possibly getting lost, but that is part of the adventure! Eduardo was a great host, met him in person at check out and saw what a lovely and warm person he is, which makes sense with all the hospitality he provided to us as guests. Other reviers were spot on. Recommend!

Roméo was a great host! The location is very central to explore Coimbra. We enjoyed that sun came in through the windows as it was winter when we stayed but there were curtains if needed. The bed was fine for me but adults may find the sofa bed a bit uncomfortable for sleeping.

Very quiet place, the host and his wife are charming. We were with 2 babies 1 year and 10 months crying, shouting, buzzing… and there were never any problems. Always good face and very attentive with children. The pool is very well. There are animals by the pool in an orchard and pen. Highly recommended. They offer a breakfast included in the price that is wonderful. Nearby, about 8km there is a town with 3 large hypermarkets. It is 40-45’ from any point of interest by car. Very good place.

Our stay was marvelous. Our host was gracious and fun!!! He made us a very healthy and yummy breakfast. But one of the most wonderful part of this stay was Antonio took time to show us his amazing Bonsai garden and shared his years of wisdom and knowledge about plants with me. My heart is sooo full of gratitude for all the amazing wisdom and specific techniques I learned from him about the art and science of Bonsai. We were truly blessed!!! Thank you, Barry & Rich

Josephina is a very nice host. See was willing to change the initial sleeping arrangements to one that served us best. See prepared a great breakfast for us and I really enjoyed her beautiful pets. I recommend Casa Traca.

We only stayed one night due to our larger itinerary, but we absolutely loved our stay. We got in late so truly just a place to crash and shower, but the breakfast experience with personal recommendations of town things to do from Sonia made this stay top tier. I'll also comment that the water pressure of the shower was phenomenal!

This is a great place to say. The rooms have beautiful decor, the entire place is sparkling, has lots of light and even blooming orchids in the bathroom. Antonio serves great breakfast and presents beautifully

They were extremely friendly. Nice place to stay. Mr. Antonio has welcomed us very well. You let in early and leave after time making it easier for the children to eat. Shared space being that the owners live there but respectful of guests and privacy.

Beautiful house and bomais garden. Well-decorated space, spotlessly clean and functional. Antonio is an attentive and welcoming host. Location off the tourist routes in a friendly neighborhood, with restaurants, cafes and traditional shopping shop on hand.
