Sophie and Dominique are very responsive and very pleasant. We also enjoyed the service with clean rooms, the beds made nothing to repeat on cleaning. The grounds are also very well maintained. Many activities in the house, swimming pool, forest walk bocce court and the little extra is the golf course.. We had a pleasant time in the house with a quiet and very refreshing environment. We recommend this place.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home is well equipped with everything you might need which made for a lovely holiday when you are cooking up a storm or relaxing in the lounge. We were able to enjoy the garden with our dog each day and even jumped into the river for a polar plunge. We highly recommended a stay if you are looking for a place to slow down and enjoy the tranquil nature of the home. Tom was also very helpful throughout our stay if we had any questions. Great to have him as a host. Looking forward to booking it again in the future.

Great stay of which we will keep memorable memories! Huguette welcomed us very warmly and was good advice throughout the stay with very appreciable little touches. The decoration of the accommodation is very pleasant and pushed into the details, it has everything you need and you feel at home right away. The cherry on the cake with the hot tub, it was perfect thank you again!!

For what was a budget friendly stay for us we were happy with the accommodation and it’s facilities. The hot tub was perfect to enjoy at any time of the day and was totally private. Our dog Merlin had plenty of space to explore the gardens and plenty of beautiful walks nearby. Although we were there out of season, there was still many things in the local area to do. We highly recommend visiting Chamberet to hire some electric bikes and tour the wonderful scenery. Seems to be lots of English in the area which meant many restaurants/places of interest had English speakers. Although not essential for us, it could be beneficial for future guests whom may struggle with the French language. We only had one negative to our experience and it was that the double bed wasn’t at all comfortable. Although, we appreciate for some, the hard spring mattress may be exactly what they like. Never the less, we spend the rest of our stay on the two single beds instead which were a little better for us.

A real gem! The welcome is impeccable. Gilles and Nicole are very accessible and extremely kind hosts. The cottage is beautiful and decorated with taste. We quickly felt comfortable in this little corner of heaven. Everything is well thought out to fully enjoy the great comfort that this cottage offers.

I would highly recommend this property. There were three of us, a couple, a child, we also had our dog. Everything went well. The accommodation is very comfortable and Marie-France is a quality host. We'll be happy to come back.

It’s a lovely and cosy little property with a wonderful fireplace, stonework, and beams. Peaceful location. There is a lovely covered patio at the front of the property which would be great in nice weather. Janette was kind enough to be waiting to greet us when we arrived later than planned. It’s a great location for exploring the area. We cooked a couple of times and everything was available in the kitchen that was needed. If you want to experience a stay in a stone property in rural France, this is a great little place.

Very good stay. Everything is well thought out to facilitate and make these few days pleasant with family. The accommodation is well equipped, clean, welcoming and discreet hosts, quiet environment. One of my best holiday cottages.

Very nice accommodation, warm and cozy. In winter, the pellet stove is appreciated. The environment is peaceful, ideal for walking, we meet pretty deer. Brantômes is close by for aperitifs and restaurants! Very welcoming host.

When we arrived , we had very good contact and a good welcome from our host in this case his wife because Benoît was not there . The accommodation is about 2kms from the center and very quiet . Everything is perfect except maybe the shower a little small . No way to have WIFI .

We absolutely loved this place. There is masses of space with access to several barns and a huge courtyard which is fenced making it perfect for our two dogs. The pool is beautiful and is a sun trap. It gets the sun until it sets and the sunsets there are stunning. The hiking in the area is incredible and we would walk for at least two hours every morning with our dogs. We used the All Trails app and found some really interesting places. Anne was super friendly and helpful. We definitely want to go back.

Everything to be perfect. the house very spacious for 8 people, large rooms with bathroom and independent toilets. Emmanuelle, very responsive and welcoming. Well equipped, and close to the city center (about 15/20 min walk)

Sylvie's place was perfect for our stay. There is nothing missing in the house and Sylvie even thought of the little ones by offering us a baby bath and dishes suitable for infants (not including the crib and high chair). The accommodation is very clean. It was a pleasant stay in this quiet house. Sylvie takes care to welcome families and it's easy to communicate with her. We'll be happy to go back to Sylvie's place.

Spectacular stay at Le Cheval Blanc! We loved our week at this large but charming house in the countryside. Beautiful, clean and cozy bedrooms! Large comfortable living room area with a wood stove that came in handy in the unusually cool September. The kitchen-wow. The best appointed kitchen we have ever encountered! And then, there are the hosts that went above and beyond to make our experience phenomenal. Delicious welcome meal and a well stocked fridge to get us started. Bill and Jill were friendly and very helpful. Walks in the area possible. Many villages to visit within an hour or two. It was an amazing week. You should stay at Le Cheval Blanc!
