Cottage vacation rentals in Paignton

We had a wonderful time at our stay. The house was very comfortable and clean. The house is located on high level- so not very suitable for wheel chair users or people with walking problems. The bedrooms both had en suits which both were lovely (both upstairs with no downstairs toilet). The kitchen was well equipped. The location was also very good with places to visit - a car is needed. There is a good size private outside patio to use with good quality garden furniture. With an additional grass section in front -children to play The big bonus was the access to the swimming pool . steam room , sauna & jacuzzi throughout your stay.The whole family really enjoyed it- you need to bring your own towels as they do not supply the towels unless you are staying in the golf club hotel. The Golf club has a bar and Resturant to get food and drink. The golf course was especially good. Very well maintained with beautiful views. Not expensive to hire and play. We would love to return.

We loved the Owls, we had an amazing stay. Very easy to find, lovely peaceful location. Beautiful settings and extremely comfortable. Everything was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for more. The hot tub was amazing, stayed super hot all night, matched with the blackness of night. Luckily we had a clear sky and was amazing to see all the stars. It was absolutely perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Ben & Katheryn were very hospitable, even leaving us a bottle of champagne for valentine’s. Very nice touch and was a pleasure to meet you ! I have no doubt we will be back !

Great hosts! Little Idle has a lovely energy. The decor is tasteful and homely but not cluttered. It is very light and spacious, a great use of space with lots of windows and doors. The bed is extremely comfortable. It's very peaceful at night so you are guaranteed a good nights sleep. There is ample storage for your things. Really effective under floor heating and wood burner. The shower has great pressure and the bath is comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and I loved the selection of teas available. There are some fun games and great literature provided. The internet was down but this wasn't a problem as there was good signal with 3 network. The hot tub was positioned in a perfect spot over looking the valley, it was really special. There is no light pollution so on a clear night you can see the milky way. Take a torch/lamp if planning to use the after sunset under the stars. Would LOVE to return again, I am feeling very relaxed after my stay, thank you!

Really lovely cottage with traditional and modern elements. Everything was superb, and it was a fantastic way to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. We all loved the hot tub, but the kids especially did. It was warm in the cottage with TVs, games and wifi. Had a smashing walk into the local village of Bridford, with stunnning views, animals in the fields, an interesting church and the friendly Bridford Inn. All the rooms were great. Nice bottle of bubbly wine in the fridge too. The host, Miranda was faultless and we would like to return oneday. Finally, the view from the patio of the rolling Devon hills was amazing. A very memorable and enjoyable weeked. Thank you.

This cottage is not just beautiful but also very welcominng and cosy, there is everything your family needs to make your stay comfortable. We loved the hot tub, down stairs shower room , coffee machine ( thank you for the very generous amount of pods included) , very secure outside courtyard which was escape proof for our dog 🐕 and the use of the washing machine and dryer 😀 We took advantage of the The Ley Arms pub which is just 1 min walk away - the food was outstanding and the portions where huge ( definitely a winner 🏆) . We will definitely be bookjng again in the future, thank yoh for having us 🙏

We had a beautiful stay at the oystercatcher for my birthday! Emma and Kevin went above and beyond to make sure we were looked after! The place was absolutely stunning and perfect for anyone wanting a homely, beautiful stay in Dartmoor, spitting distance to everything it has to offer! Hosts knowledge and tips about food and outdoor activities was amazing - we had a great two days exploring the local area using their guidance!Also very happy to have spent time with the goats, Juno the dog and pickles the cat! Thanks again, would not hesitate to return :)

Great location, 3rd time I have stayed here always clean and tidy with lovely biscuits

The cottage provides the perfect setting for a winter weekend away! We came during February half term with our 2 kids and it was the ideal base for us. We walked to (and around) Burgh Island which was totally doable with a 4 year old and 8 year old. The surrounding beaches are beautiful and you can walk left or right on the coast path for breathtaking views. We didn't get to meet our hosts but they were very responsive and kind via messages. What's more, despite it being February we were building sandcastles on the beach in T-shirts this morning! Thank you for a wonderful stay! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this perfectly located cottage. The area is quiet yet a short walk to the local M&S. we loved spending evenings in front of the log fire. Kate is very friendly and a great host. The cottage is very well equipped, we appreciated the pint of milk in the fridge so we could have a cup of tea on arriving. I was celebrating my 50th birthday and Kate had left a cake for us in the kitchen which was a lovely gesture.

We had a lovely stay at Gill’s beautiful place. It was a sanctuary for a quiet new years, with a roaring fire and really well equipped kitchen. The local pub was really good and we walked to the pub on the estuary for a lovely meal. Highly recommend! Thanks Gill.

We loved our stay at the cottage. It’s on a really quiet road, but was only a 2 minute walk from the centre of Dawlish and the seafront. The property itself was lovely, very clean and furnished to a good standard. Would definitely recommend!!

We had a fabulous stay with friends at this beautiful, quirky and cosy cottage. Everything was perfect, clean with comfy beds and a well equipped kitchen. There are 2 excellent pubs within walking distance in the village. There is lots to do in the area including some wonderful beaches. We had 2 dogs and went to Bigbury, Blackpool Sands and Beesands. We found an excellent 'haunted' pub on our way back from Bigbury - The Journeys End at Ringmore. Amazing food, atmosphere and staff. We recommened this cottage.

A really lovely cottage had everything we needed for 6 people and in a great location

Kelly was a brilliant host, she gave great information before arrival and was super at communicating. The cottage is beautiful and has every we could have possibly needed. We had the most wonderful time walking around the beautiful local area and enjoyed a wonderful meal at The Journeys End Inn.

Hannah and Ivor really helpful and friendly. Lovely setting. Children loved being able to forage and see the wildlife. Perfect. Peaceful.

In one word, heavenly. A Family or small group trip to explore anywhere around Devon, this is definitely a place for you —at a good bargain as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this property. Modern house with state of the art facilities, wash rooms were great, large island kitchen with a befitting diner stood out for us. All beds and beddings were so so comfortable. Simply felt like home. Hosts Robert and Jane were great with communication so we didn’t need to call the host at any point as everything was as described. They also recommended places around, some of which were 100% for us. We would recommend a trip to Salcombe obviously as it’s a 20+ mins drive, explore the beautiful town, trip to north & south sands via the ferry and enjoy the lovely oceanic view. Highly recommend a visit to Crab Shell inn in Kingsbridge, don’t miss a trip to Torquay Marina, about 40mins drive from Goveton. Need to add that the roads to the village are narrow but in all, great experience!

Perfect cottage for a peaceful getaway. Beautifully styled and comfortable with nice touches and a well-stocked kitchen. Heating works really well. Clare is a fab host! Easy to find, we pulled up outside to drop off bags before parking on a street in the village. Nice pub at the bottom of the road.

We’ll definitely be back to this gem of a house, it was perfect! Great value for money. Firstly, it was absolutely spotless, the kitchen had everything you could need, including great knives and cooking equiptment (a rare find!). Also, the welcome basket with wine and other goodies was such a thoughtful touch and really made us feel at home. The bedrooms were lovely and quiet, and the beds were incredibly comfortable - notably it had very high-quality bedding that made it feel just like a luxury hotel. The garden area was great, with a big table to seat everyone outside with a parasol too next to the very well manicured garden. The location could not have been any better; peaceful yet close to everything we needed e.g. Pub and shop/ Post Office. It felt like every little detail had been thought of. Honestly, the best stay we’ve ever had on AirBnb!

We had such a lovely trip away at the cottage, Amy was lovely and always available if we needed anything! The cottage itself was absolutely gorgeous and full of anything you would ever need. It was warm and cosy with the fire lit, we are definitely coming back.

We returned to Plumtree Cottage for a second stay to enjoy the peace and quiet and beautiful views. The accommodation is spacious, clean and well equipped.

We recently stayed at this charming old cottage, and it was an absolute delight. The cottage has such a unique character, blending history and comfort in the most welcoming way. Each room is filled with rustic touches that make it feel cozy and authentic. The setting around the cottage is equally enchanting, with beautiful old trees and flowering vines that make the entire experience feel like a little escape into nature. It was the perfect retreat for relaxing, unwinding, and recharging. The host was incredibly helpful and welcoming, going above and beyond to ensure a memorable stay. I can’t recommend this place enough for anyone looking for a peaceful and unique experience.

We arrived earlier than check in and asked if we could drop off the food we had travelled with and got there as the lady who was cleaning was finishing up so was able to check in early. Nikki came down to meet us and drop off some goodies. She provided us with a little doggy hamper for our dog, milk, bread, butter and popped some fresh scones in the oven for us to enjoy which was such a lovely touch. Nikki was super friendly and a lovely host. The cottage is absolutely stunning and the pictures don't do it enough justice as to how gorgeous it is. It is secluded and very peaceful in the grounds of a larger house but tucked away. The garden was well fenced which was great with our little dog. The home was really cozy, beautifully decorated and just what we wanted for a chilled New Year. We would recommend to anyone and will 100% be back
