Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Oxfordshire

Marshalls Barn was a fantastic cottage in he most beautiful surrounding area of the Cotswolds . We had a fantastic time there. It was spotlessly clean and had every amenity you could wish for. We loved that the cottage had been beautifully decorated for Christmas. A full tree and lovely decorations through out the house. The wood burner in the large dining room was beautiful and made meals even more special. We had our dogs with us and they loved being in the large garden and were completely enclosed and safe there.They also loved being in front of the wood fires after long walks. The bedrooms were large and warmly heated with hot showers and great baths for soaking . It is an ideal house for families lots of room and plenty of home comforts not usually provided. I would definitely return to this beautiful cottage . Thank you co host Janet for the warm welcome and making the house look so special for Christmas.

Had a lovely stay over the weekend with my partner. The photos are great but they will never fully capture the feeling of home that you get when stepping inside. The place has been incredibly well put together and furnished, with an attention to detail that you can only get with a passion project like this. Everything is comfortable, the spaces are well thought out and the garden with the fire pit, bbq and hot tub is what I can only describe as a bit of magic really. All the extras like the eggs, bread, butter and Prosecco (and the happy birthdays sign!!) on arrival added to the welcoming feeling. It’s very much what I’d expect from two lovely hosts and their family, so thank you for our stay! Highly recommend to anyone looking for somewhere tranquil and warming that can be enjoyed any time of year.

I stayed Jing’s place with my friends and 2 toddlers. Jing provided us 2 travel cots and highchairs so it was super helpful! Also there are toys for babies, and some entertaining items for adults so we had really fun time. Large parking space, and close to Bicester town center and Bicester village.

Nicola was a fantastic host and so accommodating to our group. We loved everything about the house and the location it was in, close to amenities and the wildlife park. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever need and beds were sublime!

We were a family party with ages from 5 to 75 . Lots for everyone to do ( swimming , tennis, billiards/snooker & beautiful walks all there) There was enough space both inside the wonderfully converted barn and outside in the extensive grounds to enjoy each others company without being overcrowded. Thanks Sarah for enabling a lovely weekend .

This property has everything a visitor to Caversham wants: wonderful high street with great shops and amazing restaurants. Pubs for families. Delis from around the world. Easy train ride to London.

Abbie's place was fantastic for us to meet up with grandparents for a couple of days after new year. The weather was super frosty, great views & sunrise from the house. Good job the heating was really effective keeping the place cosy. Twenty minute drive to Stowe NT for a lovely walk & 5 min drive to the Folly in Towcester for a cracking meal. We're into coldwater swimming and Abbie kindly let us use the pool out of season - first time I've had to crack the ice to get in some water ! The sauna after was amazing & only took 20 mins to warm up. Imagine it must be lovely with the pool in summer. We'd definitely recommend and would like to come back.

Had a lovely 4 night stay. Loved the barn with the games room. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay at falling leaf while we were moving house and needed somewhere to stay for a month. Beautiful location, very peaceful and Milan and family were great hosts.

Ideal little bolt hole with great access to the countryside and River Thames - exactly what was needed in a lovely little village

Samantha was a great friendly host she allowed us to park our car and put our luggage in the annexe early as we were attending a wedding The accommodation is perfect it was clean beautiful soft furnishings and facilities Samantha had an eye for detail to enable our stay to be comfortable Welcome pack of tea coffee milk Would highly recommend We will visit again and explore the area Jane and Steve

Stephen and Lizzie were very helpful and kind hosts. The location is stunning and very peaceful. Beds extremely comfortable. Highlights included a fire outside in the garden area and a beautiful autumnal walk on local footpaths. I would come again to explore more of the Chilterns...

We had a great stay. The apartment was very modern and spacious. However, Certain things could have been cleaner, such as the dirty plates and pans.

A well-appointed, cosy annexe, in a peaceful village. The property is very conveniently located near to the M40 for quick links to Oxford and the surrounding area. We had booked for a rest and reset break and were able to enjoy a peaceful evening in. The kitchen is well-equipped for making simple meals, and the rooms felt beautifully warm in contrast to the bitter weather outside. There are many thoughtful touches , including simple provisions in the fridge (water, milk, juice)and even pastries for breakfast.

The host is absolutely wonderful, very responsive. We wanted a secluded get away and that is exactly what we got! Our cabin was pristine, super cosy too. Was left marshmallows to toast which was lovely. Couldn’t say I have a single complaint!! Thank you ☺️

The place was ideal for a quick trip away and so accessible from London. Walks and local pubs are accessible without a car. The hot tub made it! Perfect for a relaxing weekend away. Even cosier than the pictures make out!

Everything about this place was incredible. Warm, comfortable, private, plenty of space for the dog and Hollie even put a a Christmas Tree up for us as we were staying over a Christmas. We particularly loved the local wildlife such as owls, deer and smaller birds. We have stayed in many wonderful airbnbs but this one was definitely a highlight. Highly recommend.

Danielle is a great host with quick response and very helpful throughout our stay. Lovely quiet location with modern and clean interior. Will definitely return in the future.

We wanted a quiet getaway for New Year and it lived up to expectations. The walled garden was great for our Ob1 (dog).

A really lovely space with everything you need from the most beautiful plants to many different teas. Sakhria is such a wonderful host, she made us feel very welcome and gave great advice about the area. The heated floor in the bathroom is a great touch. We would highly recommend anyone to stay here and we hope to be back one day.

What a gem! Such a nice and cozy space right off the high street. Naomi and Richard were very responsive prior to our stay. They gave suggestions of local pubs, shops, and attractions. The fire place and board games were a highlight!! They were considerate and greeted us when we arrived as the property is beside their home. Spacious stone bathroom with heated floors and comfy bed. Highly recommend!!

Best airbnb we’ve stayed in! Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a long weekend while attending Reading Festival. The airbnb itself was lovely and the host, Nicola, was so welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately we didn’t get to see too much of the local area but the location was beautiful. Would definitely recommend this place and if we return to the area, we will be staying here again!
