Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Owasco Lake

Staying at Mara's house was exactly what we needed to welcome in 2025. The house itself is immaculate, well appointed, comfortable and has incredible lakefront views to tie it all together. Getting around the Cayuga Lake area was so easy from where the house is located and there are even some incredible wineries and breweries minutes away. The layout and setup of the house was very thoughtfully done and everything we needed (and more) was there. 10/10 excellent stay.

My family of seven stayed here for a week and had a wonderful time! There was ample room for the kids to play, for us all to relax, and to cook and have meals together. The playroom was a big hit - there were a ton of board games, toys, and puzzles to play with. The kids had a lot of fun playing fooseball. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows. It was so nice having laundry on the 2nd floor, too, as well as a bathtub for the kiddos! The amenities were endless - there wasn't anything else needed that wasn't already provided. We were hoping for more snow (coming from Florida) - we had just missed a snowstorm and the temps were 40s/50s for half of our stay, but Grace recommended a few places for us to try in town, or within an hour, or two. She was easy to communicate with and very friendly - definitely a place we would stay again if we ever visited the area in the future!

This house was perfect for our group of 12! Cozy but plenty of space, a beautiful deck and yard, and great central living space. We loved it!

Vernon & Merrie were wonderful hosts and were always very responsive before and during our stay. The house is a perfect fit for 2 families. It is very spacious and we felt like we had 2 homes in 1 with 2 full kitchens. This was a huge plus as our stay was over Thanksgiving and the extra space with 2 refrigerators, multiple ovens, etc… all came in handy. The house is very well stocked and it’s clear the hosts put a great deal of care and thought into creating a great vacation for their guests. Highly recommend!

Judy was amazing to work with. We had to switch airbnbs and she was very accommodating of our last minute need. Very responsive, willing to fix any issues, and very friendly. The place was a gorgeous escape for us and we loved the space. We would definitely stay there again!

We booked this lovely home for a Thanksgiving get together with family near and far. We all had plenty of room and the house was a perfect spot to host dinner and enjoy quality time with our family. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and Juston thought of everything that we could have needed to enjoy our visit. There were a lot of great little details that we didn’t typically find in the Airbnbs that we have rented from in the past, including multiple types of charges in every bedroom, extra towels and linens, and a lovely welcome basket. We would highly recommend this home and hope to come back again soon.

Roberta’s cottage is even nicer in person. Very clean, cozy & comfortable, somewhat secluded & private, just what I needed. Plenty of area outside for my two dogs. You can tell she really cares about her guests, from the toiletries in the bathroom, to the cookie snacks in the kitchen & even the doggie waste bags there for you. There is a full size coffee pot/k-cup combo with an assortment of coffees, cappuccinos & milk chocolate k-cups. A big plus was the whole cottage water system, especially the drinking water station. The kitchen faucet is gorgeous, very high end. The cottage is decorated beautifully but simple, no clutter or Knick-knacks in your way. Gorgeous rustic sliding doors to the bathroom, bedroom & utility room with a full/large size washer & dryer. The beautiful double walk in shower is huge & something you’d see in a Modern Home magazine, equipped with two overhead rain shower heads, each with an adjustable or hand held combo sprayer & a smooth sliding glass door.

We stayed at Christopher's while exploring the Fingerlakes region in the wintertime. It was warm and comfortable to come back to in the evening. I was easily able to make dinner with the kitchenware provided. Would definitely stay there if we are in the area again. The only thing I would mention is the WIFI connection seemed to be a little weak sometimes (we were able to stream a movie by keeping the phone in the kitchen and casting to the TV). Other than that, everything was great!

It was a perfect place to stay for our mother & daughter weekend exploring Watkins Glenn and surrounding area(waterfalls, hiking, wineries, breweries, lakes).Can easily walk into town to shops, restaurants and WG state park. Apartment is fully stocked with all needed for our stay. It is a super cozy, comfortable & clean. Host is very helpful & responsive. It was a perfect fall getaway. Hope to return in the future.

We have been to the house before and this was our first time in the upper unit. We enjoyed the style of the space and found it comfortable.

We live locally and were having work done on our house, which necessitated staying somewhere else for a few nights. We hadn't stayed at an AirBnB before, and it was a fantastic first experience! Arnaud was so accommodating and a great host. We have a poodle, and he set out bowls for him including one filled with water. There were towels at both doors for puppy's paws. The apartment was spotless, comfortable (including the bed), perfectly decorated, plus the wifi was great--important because I had to work remotely. I also love that they are sustainable, complete with solar panels and recycling! We had snow those days, and Arnaud shoveled the deck and steps on the back porch so I could conveniently take out puppy. Their yard is huge and completely fenced in. There were also fresh eggs, real butter, and condiments in the refrigerator. We will recommend their lovely AirBnB to family, friends, and work colleagues, and would certainly stay there again, if the situation called for it.

Glenn and Diana’s place is a must stay!!!! The space was so cozy, clean, and comfortable. The sunsets over the lake are enchanting, and stargazing at night is incredible. Additionally, Glenn and Diana provided great recommendations for wineries, breweries, food, and activities in the area.

This space was PERFECT for our little anniversary getaway in the finger lakes! Ron was very responsive and we loved all of the treats he supplied the house with. We can wait to come back during the summer! Thank you, Ron!

We visited Ithaca for my daughter's Cornell Family Weekend. Had great time during our stay. The apartment is super clean and comfortable - the nice details everywhere makes it feel just like home. Mary is very friendly and responsive - the best host one can ask for. We will certainly come back again.

Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The place was cozy, private, and had a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home. Mary was a fantastic host, checking in a couple of times to ensure we had everything we needed. The attention to detail and comfort made for an awesome experience. This place turned out to be exactly what we were looking for and needed! A cozy cabin with plenty of space for three people to spread out (and easily room for a few more) for a calm winter getaway. We made almost all our meals there throughout the week, and the kitchen has about everything one would need. Bathroom is nice, new shower appreciated as well as the heated tile floor. Bedroom and beds upstairs feel new and the mattresses are quite firm, so a great nights sleep for us. The propane fireplace was perfect! both ambient & effective The property is massive and the trails made for nice little daily adventures. Snow on the ground and the pond was frozen, so we got a couple days of ice time before rising temps made it a bit too wet. Feels very remote on-property, especially at night, but there are a couple cute towns 20 minutes east or west. Leila diner and Naples pizza highlights. The owner, Felicia, is very responsive and nice to interact with. We hope to be back someday!

Nancy’s cottage was perfect for our little family of 4. We enjoyed card games on the back porch, meals al fresco w a beautiful lake view, and of course roasting marshmallows in the fire pit at sunset. The cottage was intimate and cozy and we hope to return on a regular basis. Thank you Nancy for being inviting and more than accommodating.

This was the perfect get away spot. Wineries and distilleries all with in 4 minute driving distance. 100 percent would stay again! Thank you!

This was a fantastic weekend getaway for us and everything was just as described. Very, VERY nice. One small suggestion: perhaps one of those big thermometers nailed to a tree to fond the AM temp?

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this cabin! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the spotless cleanliness—every corner was meticulously maintained, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The cabin's location is unbeatable, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, and the walking access to the lake was a huge plus for us. We spent evenings gathered around the fire pit, soaking in the peaceful setting. The temperature control system also worked perfectly, ensuring we were always comfortable. A special shout-out to Sarah, the host, whose responsiveness and attention to detail made our stay even more enjoyable. Whether you’re looking to relax or explore, this cabin has it all. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our time at Sherry's cabin, super quiet, peaceful, and sweet secluded. Our dog loved running around on the property, that was one of our favorite parts.

Close to the park, secluded, quiet, beautiful little cabin. 30 minutes from all the beautiful falls in the area. Wineries right up the road. Perfect location.
