Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Outer West Durban

A beautiful and spotlessly clean home with all the comforts to make our stay a magical experience. The undercover patio is weatherproof and was our favorite place to relax and enjoy the sounds of nature and the lush natural foliage. The monkey troop that passed through daily were curious and not a nuisance at all - we loved watching them for the few minutes that they visited us every day. The home is furnished with an array of interesting and personal items that were fascinating and intriguing. And so many wonderful books to suit all tastes! We were blown away by the dog bed and water bowl that awaited our two small dogs - such a lovely touch! Easy access to the garden for our house-trained dogs. Absolutely no security concerns at all. The estate is a wonderland of walking trails, dams, indigenous natural bush and wildlife. We will definitely be back - 8 nights was just too short! Our stay at Cathy and Jono’s property exceeded our expectations. Cathy kept checking in on us while we were still on the way since the weather was not so favourable. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome, she had the heater on for us and gave us a guided tour of their stunning house that is beautifully designed and very spacious. Cathy and Jono went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable. They were just a text/ phone call away whenever we needed something, and this truly made us feel valued as guests. Thank you for being such incredible hosts Cathy and Jono, this trip will always hold a special place in our hearts because of your warmth and hospitality. We cannot wait for our next visit!

Such a great place. Felt right at home the minute we walked in. It felt like a piece of the bush right near the beach and Kyne was incredibly helpful too. Booked the space to be near the start line of Comrades. But it offered so much more. Located very close to Umhlanga and the St Lucia mall but also a very short walk to the beach. There was a group of us staying and the space allowed us to have good communal space but also some privacy still. Only positive things to stay and will definitely be looking to stay again.

Absolutely lovely flat. The linens, made by Camille’s company it turns out, were some of the nicest I’ve ever slept on — and I’ve spent a great deal of time in luxury hotels for work. ( If you’re local check out That’s Linen ). If, like me, you’re booking because it’s walking distance to stuff, be prepared for a workout on the way home. But hey, great views don’t come without steep climbs.

Paul and Lee were quick to respond and a pleasure to deal with, also gave great recommendations to nearby restaurants. The house is so cozy and outdoors beautiful and peaceful, just what we were looking for. Would highly recommend and amazing value for money. Will be back.

Great place in walking distance to beach... We only stayed a few nights, while our home in Durban got fumigated, but will recommend the place to friends and family who visit Durban ;-) I especially liked that it was spacious and dog friendly with a big balcony

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The kids loved the pool and had lots of space to run and play. The house was spotless, welcoming and perfect for a family of 4. Would highly recommend booking this space!!! Thank you Ella for being such a welcoming host!

An absolutely stunning apartment with magical views. Hosts are amazing. Access to the beach was easy so we could visit the beach a few times a day. Definitely would stay again.

Velly was very friendly and accommodating. the housekeeper was literally a phone call away. the apartment is conveniently situated and has everything one needs for a quick getaway. the staircase is very steep though and will not be ideal for someone who has mobility challenges. we had a very comfortable stay and it was excellent value for money.

Beautiful home in a quiet, clean neighbourhood. Family friendly and the views from each room were breathtaking. My favourite feature was the bathtub overlooking the ocean, the kids enjoyed the games and the pool. The house was cleaned daily and we felt right at home.

The location is great. Secluded, yet well-positioned and connected to the city. Both Joslyn and Shaun are great hosts and together with their pets make this concrete oasis truly feel like home. Amenities and availability of kitchen equipment covered every necessity I had for my 2-month stay. I would definitely return to this gem in the middle of the big city.

Esmaré and Barrie's place was easy to find, well worth the money and had all the amenities required for my stay (1.5 week work-cation). The hosts are friendly and the dogs are lovely.

Janne's place really is a home away from home. The cottage is peaceful and surrounding by a wonderful garden that overlooks some of the best parts of Durban. We didn't want for anything, the kitchen was well stocked with essentials, the bed was large and comfy, the internet was fast, the aircon is very effective and the cottage was very easy to lock up and go. I highly recommend this spot when in Durban and will be back!

We loved Britts place! Spacious, clean and airy and a very comfortable bed. Lots of lovely little touches to add to our stay. Great location, easy access to Durban and the Midlands, walking distance to the best breakfast in the area (Sprigs) and a short drive to great coffee (Velvet)! Even a short walk to the pub, which is unusual in South Africa Highly recommend!
