Cabin vacation rentals in Ouray

I cannot say enough great things about this place. I've stayed at numerous places in Colorado over my lifetime, and this one has to be the best. The location was ideal for us, and the place was fantastic. The views, the huge deck with an amazing hot tub, the spacious living area with enough seating for all 6 of us (and then some), the most amazingly stocked kitchen of any rental - the list goes on and on. The entire host team responded quickly and gave us local recommendations, as well. My father-in-law is already talking about bringing the grandkids next year! My dad told me several times a day what a great find I made. We all loved it so much and can't wait to return! Thanks for a great week!

The main perk is that it is close to Purgatory and the hot tub was nice. Some notes: Nugget guests parked dozens of cars in front of the Airbnb, so we had difficulty finding a spot to park our car. We asked someone to move their car from in front of the Airbnb to get a parking spot. Kevin helped with low water pressure and the water temperature. The water heater is in the bedroom and it has a bright blue display, so pack sleep masks. The Airbnb felt cold in the living room and bedroom since the mini split is mounted too high. The heat rose to the loft bed instead. The space heater helped keep us warm at night by closing the main bedroom door while running it on highest setting..

The cabin was very nice and the location is very beautiful! We booked last minute after having to cancel our original plans because of wildfires, and this was the perfect ‘plan b.’ We enjoyed exploring the beautiful scenery of the area and found much to do.

We enjoyed celebrating our anniversary here, waking up to the beautiful snow covered mountain and tree tops was memorable! The cabin was cozy, hot tub warm and plenty of wood pellets to keep the fire going. We appreciated the snow plow operator who shoveled the walks for us during our stay. Plenty of games and books for entertainment. The jetted bath tub could use a good cleaning/maintenance. Definitely 4x4 or AWD required to reach the property in a snow storm and would recommend bringing enough groceries if a storm is forecasted. The road is well packed and maintained, but steep at times. Thanks for having us!

This place is very well run, maintained and very clean. We stayed in one of the smaller cabins and it was perfect for our stay in Ouray. Hard to beat sitting in the hot tub looking at the snow covered mountains. We would definitely stay here again.

Rick was quick to respond and helpful. The house was beautiful and clean. Beautiful surrounding woods and felt very private. Perfect for our party of 4 adults and 3 kids. Would definitely come back to stay here. And if your lucky you might see a bobcat like we did!!

The cabin we stayed in was an amazing experience. Right on the base of the mountain and riverside. The cabin was cozy and while the showers were in a shared space they were cleaned every hour. Would definitely recommend if you want to experience the mountains.

FANTASTIC HOST and SPOT! You will be sad you didn’t book if you don’t. Tim is hospitable knowledgeable and just as warm as his hand built cabins. The thoughtfulness in the space was very noticeable . Perfect stay. Best Airbnb experience… Can not express this enough!

We loved our stay at this cabin to visit the nearby Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. We ate breakfast at the cafe the next morning and highly recommend the breakfast burrito with green chiles in it. There’s a stream out back and got a glimpse of the sheep on the other side which was so fun to see! We also fell in love with Marmalade the cat in the cafe. We didn’t get service out there, but there was free WiFi and we brought games and books to occupy ourselves knowing service might be spotty. It was nice to get away from technology for a bit anyways. We would definitely recommend and we would stay again!!

Great location, beautiful grounds would love to stay again

Jennifers cabin was absolutely amazing. My best friend and I had such a great time there. Definitely need 4 wheel drive and to be able to manuver in the snow, but totally worth it! The community of people were great and we will definitely be back!

This space is so much bigger than expected!! The couch was super nice and comfy and reclined 🤩 loved the patio space too. It was great for having 5 people in there. So walkable to anything but that’s also Lake City since it’s small. It was really great.

What a cute, cozy and well appointed cabin. Perfect for 2 people and our dog. Lots of thoughtful extras in the kitchen and bathroom that we appreciated. We enjoyed the electric fireplace as well.

We stayed here last year and loved it so much we came back. Cozy cabin in a beautiful setting - it makes me want a wood burning stove at home too.

Don was personable and proactive from the very get-go, helping us to feel secure and welcome even months ahead of time. The location itself was beautiful, with a view of the lake from the firepit, firewood provisions overflowing. There were neighbors nearby, but it was still a private and relatively large piece of beautiful personal property. Our kids loved the firepit, the hammock, the canoes (life jackets provided). Inside, we were greeted with a space that felt luxurious, outdoorsy, and "home-y." The kitchen had all high-quality amenities (save a dishwasher). Hot and cold water, all was from a filtered well that was drinkable. The livingroom was surprisingly spacious, with a fireplace that loved sitting by morning an evening. There were hundreds of DVDs, books, and even family boardgames. The entire house shone it's proud history with outdoorsy keepsakes, 100 year old newspapers, paintings. The beds were all incredibly comfortable; It was the best sleep I'd had in months.

Our family of eight absolutely loved this cabin, tucked into gorgeous pine trees, and aspens in full golden glory. The drive up to this private, peaceful hideaway was stunning. The cabin more than matched the descriptions and pictures, and accommodated us perfectly. It was cozy, clean and comfortable. The host was extremely responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful cabin, very private and quiet, isolated from any houses, amazing mountain views from each side of the house. We spent an unforgettable time there, lots of wildlife around, cows walk around the property, we saw bear prints which was exciting. Robert was very communicative about any questions we had and very quickly responded. The road is pretty rough and so make sure you have an SUV, very rocky and some place so narrow only one car can pass, but it is quite an off road adventure and fun.There is wifi out there, so no problem connecting to an internet or tv to watch favorite shows.There is plenty of space for everyone, upstairs balcony has beautiful views. Everything like basic essentials is there like tp, towels, cups, drinking bottle water is there. We went with dogs and had an amazing time up there, and there was nothing better than sitting on the porch and watching the nature and the stars in the evening. We loved the place, highly recommend and will definitely come back

Had a great time - location is peaceful and quiet along the Uncompahgre River. Just 60 minutes away from the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, trails in and picnics in the Cimarron's, San Juans and local sites. Great farmers' markets in Montrose, Ridgway, Delta.

Loved the cabin. Perfect base camp for hiking in the area and visiting Lake City. Staff at the lodge were super friendly and helpful.

Very peaceful stay in a beautiful setting. Very well equipped house. The deck and porch are great for watching wildlife, enjoying a late afternoon summer shower or just enjoying the view. Forrest is very thick and full of wildlife. Walking down the old logging road off the back of the property was perfect. The roads are well maintained and very walkable for park like strolls thru the neighborhood. House is located far enough off the beaten path to be peaceful but still close enough to Montrose, Gunnison, Lake City, Blue Mesa Reservoir, Ridgeway Reservoir and places in between for endless activities. The house sits at an elevation which treats guests to nice cool summer mornings and mild afternoon temperatures.

We had an incredible stay at this cabin! The property is stunning, and the surrounding scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Our entire group thoroughly enjoyed the experience, and I want to highlight the fantastic kitchen—it was a standout feature for us and made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!
