Vacation rentals with lake access in Orkney

Sanday is a beautiful island and this holiday home was in a beautiful spot. Views were beautiful and there was a shop and beach in walking distance. We stayed here as two families, 4 adults and 4 children under 5. This place was perfect for a family holiday. The bathroom and kitchen were new fitted and had everything you need for a stay. We plan to catch me back again next year, for longer. Great place. Thank you.

Great location for visiting all the sites on mainland. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and good value for money. We were lucky enough to have lovely weather which meant we spent plenty of time enjoying the beautiful views from the loch side decking. Thank you.

Stayed with a group of 5 of us but the house never felt crowded. We arrived on the late ferry after dark and Lyndsey was kind enough to leave the lights on to make it easier to find. Her directions were very easy to follow too and we had no trouble finding it. The location is just stunning, we saw a variety of birds and watched a family of otters going about their day while having our own breakfast at the kitchen table. Lyndsey also left us a wonderful box of welcome goodies and there were plenty of towels and blankets. The house is very close to plenty of sites to see. All in all a perfect week away and we would absolutely stay again! Thank you so much.

We can only wholeheartedly recommend Ian and Barbara's place. They are wonderful, warm, and extremely helpful hosts. We have spent many holidays in Scotland, and they rank on top of the list. Actually, having them around from the first hour, we felt like being invited into their family. This is perhaps their greatest give to any guest. Thank you, Ian and Barbara.

Bert’s apartment was excellent. It was even better in real life than on the pictures. We had two dogs and a toddler with us and were all very comfortable for the duration of our stay. Bert was an excellent host. Really friendly and accommodating. I’d definitely recommend a stay with him.

We had a fantastic stay at the Puffin pod. It was in a lovely peaceful location. Great for all the main places to visit . I have stayed in a lot of different places. But I think this was on of the best for equipped. Everything had its place . We wanted for nothing. The bed which I was worried about was so comfortable. Don’t he’s just book it
