Jade's house on beach is new and fresh. Beach street is amazing and a short walk to the puna trail. Pics totally accurate. Have stayed at oceanfront while on Hilo, and was surprised by the serenity and lack of ocean commotion. Bed was extremely comfortable. Pool was spotless and with the lounge chairs, every day is a pool vaca! Jade is very accommodating and available. Highly recommend! Mike sf

Very peaceful, clean, and not far from volcanoes national park. It's very secluded and quiet, so we had a blast freaking out our teenagers .

It might be the best Airbnb I have ever stayed. Everything in the house is absolutely stunning. It’s very stylish while very comfy. I love all the design and how the host built their own house and create an amazing space for the tourists to stay! Will definitely revisit if getting a chance!

Our three generational family of seven loved staying here. Everyone had their own space, and the house has lovely communal spaces like the lanai, living room and hot tub area. Coming from cold, snowy Saskatchewan, a highlight was morning coffee on the lanai! The appliances are like new, and the house is pristine and well maintained. The beds are so comfortable, and the bedrooms have towel warmers, extra cozy blankets, room darkening curtains, and plenty of lamps and outlets. We enjoyed the location, as it’s minutes from Volcano National Park. We were so fortunate to be there during eruptions. I recommend getting a park pass, so you can check out the park often like we did to view the volcanic activity. The hot tub is such a nice bonus. We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, and loved hearing the frogs and roosters. The hosts have personalized the house with beautiful landscaping, freshly cut flowers and incredible art work. Thank you!

Stunningly beautiful, secluded luxury and the perfect place to stay when exploring the Volcano area. We loved our time in this place and wish we could have stayed longer. The home and lanai with a fireplace all had beautiful, luxurious finishes that matched the description. Beds were comfortable, our kids loved the hot tub, selection of games and puzzles, and all the other amenities were great and made it easy to relax in the rainforest together. Christyn and Caleb were friendly, responsive, and graciously helped us adjust our reservation to deal with an unexpected flight change. We loved that they left supplies for special s'mores too. Hope to visit again soon!

The setting is beautiful and lush. The stars are incredible and the evening sounds add an element of serenity to help you sleep peacefully. We had a great time. James was friendly and we would stay here again. Mahalo!

Amazing stay at the banana cabana! The area was peaceful and a good center point around Hilo and volcanoes national park. The space is well designed, clean, had AC and washer/dryer. Included beach chairs, grill, and a beautiful veranda to enjoy your coffee. The yard has fruit trees, geckos, and lots of coqui frogs and we were able to enjoy some strawberry guavas as well! Honestly one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in. Also has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, comfortable linens, updated shower. The only consideration is to bring white noise or ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise, the coqui frogs can be very loud at night.

This place was exactly what I needed, great for getting that peace of mind and tranquility that you’d expect, and it well exceeded that. The locals were incredible and the place was great, something little yet so much, definitely worth it and will be staying here longer the next time I’m here

I had a great stay at Ryan’s, it was just the sweet retreat, was looking for safe, clean, extremely comfortable. I ended each day with a swim in the pool. The reasons I booked this Airbnb was because it had a high number of stars, with repeat visitors. I now understand why & look forward to seeing you again Ryan. Mahalo

Staying at Megan's place was such a delight! The outdoor kitchen was super cute and well-equipped. Megan made sure it felt like a fancy hotel room with her attention to detail and stylish decor. She was friendly, accommodating, and even provided a blender when we wanted to whip up some smoothies with fresh ingredients from the nearby market (which was only a block away) and let us stash our luggage while we sauntered about! We had an amazing time, and I can't recommend Megan's Airbnb enough for a comfy and unique experience.

if you are looking for comfortable simple accomodations that is quiet,peaceful where you can rest and relax this is the place. the fruit trees are lush full and very delicious.

Megan and Jasper were outstanding hosts, extremely personable and hospitable. They provided us with breath-taking beach and hiking recommendations and had a hand in us feeling fully submerged into the culture. There's a market one block away to fill the mini fridge with local fruits and vegetables, copious coffee shops and nearby restaurants that were not only great but had a lot of local flair. We enjoyed the small retreat feel, right in the city. The coqui frog chirps were surprising at first, but we quickly got used to them and let them sing us to sleep. if we're ever on the big island again, we will definitely come back! Chris & Reilly

Loved staying here. We wanted exactly what we got. Private, green, cozy, adventurous. Loved it. A great get-way for people who like to explore and be just a bit crunchy.

Great experience and very friendly host and neighbors. This bamboo hut is welcome to everyone who wants a retreat or living far away from the network. There is even a sanctuary room for meditation. However, when i lived there, there was a hurricane. So it's kind of scary to hear the strong wind blowing the jungle and trees/leaves hitting the rooftop.

A beautiful, peaceful, and serene spot just minutes away from the hot springs. The accommodations were as described and the host was excellent. If you are looking for a retreat from the noise of the world, this is your spot. Will definitely stay here again when I return to Pahoa...

Rustic bohemian vibes, Laura was a very nice host and extremely responsive. There is cow's that make little visits very funny at night. Very good way to disconnect from the world. Definitely read the details so you know what you are getting. The location is good if you want to be near things. Outdoor shower is a one with nature.

As always, our stay at the cottage was a dream. The location is indescribably beautiful and peaceful. We'll definitely be back!

The house was exactly what I was looking for and more — private, safe, surrounded by nature, within 15 minutes of a beautiful beach and pet-friendly. I was also happily surprised by the number of stores 10 minutes away in Pahoa’s town center including a Whole Foods like store called Malama Market, a CVS affiliate called Longs Pharmacy, great Thai food at Ning’s Thai and delicious breakfast at the Tin Shack Bakery. The weather was also better than I expected — I’d (correctly) anticipated daily tropical rain showers, but the late mornings through afternoons were almost always sunny during my June stay. And I was also pleasantly surprised that Instacart delivery people were able to successfully deliver goods from Hilo, 30-40 mins away. The house itself is beautifully decorated. I personally loved the crystals around the bed and flickering decorative lights. Those relaxing touches along with the sounds of nature — birds, frogs, insects and intermittent tropical rain — helped set the stage for some very restful sleep. I didn’t do any cooking beyond warming things up during my time there, but the refrigerator, freezer, oven and stove worked perfectly, and the shower water was nice and warm. Also, the car I rented from Kristen was perfect for my needs. You definitely need a car when staying here and one that can handle unpaved terrain. I loved my stay, and as long as you’re ok with lizards, insects, tropical rain, spotty cellular service supplemented by GREAT wifi, friendly kittens and a dog roaming the property, you’ll likely love it too.
