Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Orcas Island

I've stayed at a lot of vacation rentals - Lori's spot on Orcas might be one of the best. The space is perfect for a large group, the property and amenities were outstanding, and the views were absolutely incredible. If you're looking for a quiet spot to spend a long weekend in Washington, I don't think you'll find anything better. Lori's a fantastic host, as well, which made the whole experience even better.

Nick’s place is one of our favorite AirBnB finds. It is so thoughtfully designed and utterly serene. We loved sipping coffee, reading books, watching movies on the projector/screen combo, and walking or driving the few minutes to downtown. We also played some of the guitars on the wall, which are in pretty good shape! Nick was very accommodating, allowed us to check out late so we didn’t have to spend hours waiting for a flight at the airport. We had a great week in Bellingham and this house was a big part of it. Hope to be back.

We had a great stay at Gerry’s place! The apartment was cozy, clean, and exactly as described. He went above and beyond with a detailed tour of the space, making sure we were fully informed about every corner of the place. We really appreciated the dedication ! Overall, a lovely stay and a place we’d come back to.

A hidden gem of a location, outfitted with all of the things you want: amazing sunrises, Greta hot tub, heated bathroom floors. (no TV tho). it's the kind of place you don't want to leave throughout the day- glad we did tho, so many cool spots to check out at Deception Pass. We both are ready to move in permanently.

This was a great stay! The house was fun with great art in every room and an old school kitchen. The hot tub was used often and took nice walks out by the water. Not far from town either. I would definitely stay here again!

We loved our stay in this great spot on Mount Parke. Really nice views and peaceful location where we enjoyed hearing birdsong and the ferries tooting their horns as they were passing through Active Pass.

We absolutely loved our stay. It truly felt like coming home. I grew up on this street and the specific view from there brings me back to so many wonderful childhood memories. Our hosts were so kind. They even decorated the house for my birthday and we were greeted with sparkling wine and chocolates. The house has some original 70s charm and has obviously been well cared for. The bathroom felt like being in my grandmothers house when I was a kid…in the best way possible. I wouldn’t change a thing! The bed was comfortable and there were ample amenities to make the place feel like home. Our border collies who we treat like human children came with us and it was so nice not to have to leave them home or with a sitter. There is t a lot of dog run space, but there is a nice dog park within a 10 minute drive that met that need fully! We knew parking would be a little challenging, but we didn’t meet any issues with it. Overall we would stay here again hands down! Amelia and Michael

Hannah's place was marvelous! It was a rainy few days and we were on the island mainly for the film festival, so we didn't get to spend as much time in the garden or out on the back porch as we would have liked, but the room was so cozy and the bed was super comfy! Hannah was super nice and provided us with everything we needed. We hope to come back to spend some warmer, sunnier days :)

The space and location was beautiful and was a perfect little NYE getaway for my husband and I.

Amazing! We could not thank the hosts enough for our wonderful stay at the Armstrong Bird Nest! This was our first time in the Samish Island area, and the location was easy to find thanks to the thorough information provided by our hosts prior to our trip (including information on the tide which we didn’t even think about!). Once there, we were warmly welcomed by one of our lovely hosts, Thais. My husband is a wildlife photographer, and thanks to Thais’ tips and recommendations on the area, we were able to see so much wildlife including owls, eagles, snow geese, and swans… not to mention the fact that the property itself is an absolutely beautiful haven for happy birds with a gorgeous view of the water (the sunrise and sunset were amazing). This is a birdwatcher/wildlife observer’s dream, and the property was very cozy inside and out. We were able to relax and enjoy our weekend to the fullest. Thank you, Thais and Howard for hosting our stay!

This place was great! It's small, but was perfect for my husband and I and the space is well utilized. We both worked a full work week from here -- the internet worked great and there was space for both of us to work with on person using the kitchen table and the other using the desk in the bedroom. It's a block from Aslan Brewing and close to plenty of other restaurants and breweries. We took runs down to Fairhaven and up to the arboretum. Highly recommend.

Nancy was the most responsive host we have ever had. We enjoyed her place so much and pan to go back in the summer!

Everything about this place is as described. It was perfect for our weekend getaway in a perfect location in town. The bathroom and kitchen had everything we needed. The bed is very comfortable. The extra fans were nice. Parking was adequate. Even DoorDash delivered right to the door. The only suggestion is additionally lighting down stairs leading to entrance. It is difficult at night to see the steps.

The space was very clean, spacious and convenient location (10 min drive to downtown Bellingham). The unit looks to be recently updated, and had nice large appliances. We didn't end up cooking, but the kitchen looked to be well stocked to do so. There is 1 full bath upstairs and a 1/2 bath downstairs. Plenty of nice towels. There are 3 bedrooms but you walk through the middle bedroom to access the 3rd. No big deal for us, but plan accordingly based on who sleeps in or goes to be earlier-or if privacy is a concern. The "condos" look like those dated drive up motels which surprised us upon arrival but it didn't affect our stay. There is a security gate but it was never closed during our stay. Regardless, we did not feel unsafe in any way. Just be aware that it's not the most inviting looking airbnb from the outside. While you could occasionally hear the sound of neighbors, it was not at all noisy or a concern. Worked well for a family of 4 skiing at Mt Baker for 5 days in January.

Great cozy studio with great touches of local art and sea life... felt like an extension of the ocean!

Katie allowed us to spend the evening in this beautiful spot, she had great instructions, was very friendly and worth every penny! Would highly recommend this spot to others if you are looking for a great spot on Friday Harbor.

We loved our one night stay. The amenities within the unit were very well thought out and intuitively placed, the space was clean and well maintained and very comfortable. There is a small store across the street for immediate needs and the unit is about a 10 minute drive from town and a plethora of great restaurants and activities, many of which are listed in the guest book. 10/10 would visit again.

Our stay at Marlyn's place was the perfect little getaway. It had beautiful water views and felt very private. The walk to the beach did not take long. The space was charming and comfortable. Her place had everything we needed for our family of three and our dog. Would recommend!

Leith's studio apartment is quiet, yet a walk around the corner from the main street. The views of the East Sound and surrounding landscape from the high up deck are beautiful. The interior is artfully well-appointed and equipped.
