Family-friendly vacation rentals in Old Port of Marseille

Villa totally as described. We had an excellent week with friends. The outdoor layout (swimming pool, jacuzzi, boulodrome...) was ideal. We would definitely recommend this beautiful Villa. Location close to the beach and market. We'll be happy to go back! Charlotte & Compagnie

Had a lovely stay. It was great for our 2 families. Lots of space for the kids to play and easy drive into the city.

Family stay at Patricia's was perfect, the children loved it, very peaceful with unobstructed views of the vineyards, the olive trees and the mountain in the background, it's even better than in the photos. The place was very clean as was the pool. We had a wonderful week.

Lovely place, we came for work and were able to enjoy the hot tub and sauna in the evening when we got home which was really nice and relaxing for us. Very responsive hosts, thank you for this great stay

A home that deserves a 5-star rating on every level! The accommodation is located in a ground floor house with a terrace. Whether it's outside or inside, everything is perfect and tastefully decorated. Nadine is very friendly, she responds very quickly to messages and makes every effort to make sure the stay goes smoothly. And what about the pool area. To share only with another gite and the owners. A gigantic pool and impeccably clean. In addition, the accommodation is very well located: 30 minutes from Marseille, Aix, Cassis and La Ciotat. Thank you again Nadine. This cottage is more than pleasant!

Love every moment at the place

This is an excellent place on a wonderful location. Lise and her daughter did a great job in making everything look nice. Not only that, everything was taken care of. Lise understands what the term hospitality means. She is really a sweet, sweet person. Nearby there are shops: lovely baker, wineshop, vegetableshop. We also loved the Hippocamp, where we had fish a couple of times. The bus stop brings you directly to the city center where you can either walk or take the metro. Long story short: I can really, really recommend this place. Marseille should watch out for all the cruiseships. They create some noise but especially pollution.

We had a great stay: - Comfortable and convenient accommodation (kitchen in particular!) - very warm and very caring welcome (homemade cake and jam) - perfect location to access the Calanques and magnificent views from the kitchen We'll be happy to go back!

Great accommodation, excellent hosting and perfect location!

Lionel and Sylvie were great hosts for us. They were always ready for advice, yet also totally respectful of our privacy. They are very close to the Calanque national park, and a superb place to swim too. A perfect place from which to explore Marseille.

We had a lovely stay at Caroline and Laurent's apartment. These hosts have always been very responsive and extremely kind. This apartment is located in a very quiet area, without any noise. The accommodation is a short walk from the sea superb sunset) and well located in relation to the city center, accessible in a few minutes on foot. We were able to park our large vehicle not far away in free parking. The accommodation was very clean and well equipped. We recommend 100%.

I stayed at this apartment for a month. It was very nice—plenty of natural light and very well insulated from the sounds of the street. Good location and functional amenities. Overall I would recommend this apartment. My only small complaints are as follows: - I would have much preferred to have a fob/badge to enter the building rather than being obligated to enter a code at the door every time. The buttons for typing the code on the door are not reliable and this was a safety concern at least one time coming back late at night. - One of the neighbors in the building smokes a particularly strong, acrid brand of cigarettes and the smell is ever-present in the apartment. If you're sensitive to smoke, this may be an issue. But then again, if that's the case you might reconsider coming to France at all… - The futon/couch was not at all comfortable to sit on.

Jeremy welcomed us with sympathy and conviviality. The rental is exactly as described. Everything was perfect, we had a great time. I highly recommend it!

We had a great time! The accommodation is very nice, close to the metro and sports facilities Velodrome, Parc Chanot ... Thank you to our host for being very accommodating on our arrival time. I can only recommend it!

Super nice house in a beautiful location! The pool is not large but wonderful for cooling. We enjoyed it. The terrace offers a beautiful view on both sides, the sea on one side and the Calanques on the other. The house has two bathrooms. We were traveling with two adolescents so ideal😉. The welcome was warm, a delicious bottle of Rosé was ready for us. The communication with Aurélie and Julien went very well. We enjoyed their wonderful house and the beautiful area!

What an amazing place to stay. It was our little paradise, our haven of tranquility. You have to love the calm, the space. nature. Our host, very responsive, offered us the promised services. Everything is perfect, clean, well maintained. The living spaces. leisure are huge and make it easy for a group of 14 to live together. I highly recommend it!!! We'll definitely be back!

We had a great time in Marseille at Bertrand's house. The neighborhood is very peaceful, close to the sea and shops. The accommodation is fully equipped, we did not miss anything. The air conditioning in the rooms is very nice too. We were also able to take advantage of the swimming pool despite the bad weather. Thanks again to Bertrand and Raymond who welcomed us and helped us during the stay.

Amazing place to stay if you want to see Les Calanques. Perfect for climbers, the closest crag is 20 mins and it’s 1hr walk to oceanside climbing paradise. Highly recommend as a base for your outdoor adventures!!

What a relaxing escape! You are short staircase directly across the street from Le Prophète beach which always has activity but is nowhere near as crazy as the beaches closer to old port. There's a nice break wall and you can swim off either side, great sand, and the warm water of the mediterranean. Once you go through the first gate on the short staircase you're in a private paradise with your own salt water pool, multiple decks and a perfect view on the sunset every evening. There's a covered outdoor dining area and spots to soak up the sun. The house is full of bohemian charm. Meandering rooms and a twisty staircase provide 3 spacious bedrooms and several bathrooms that served our family (with two teenage girls) well. The kitchen is well stocked and the host even made sure we had some essential provisions on our arrival as we were coming in on a local holiday. There's a nice italian restaurant just down the corner, and more food a 10 minute bus ride either direction. Lovely.

For me, this is really a great place in Marseille! The view and the situation are breathtaking, we can really talk about a great experience. We are literally on the sea, with two nice little beaches to the left and right of the accommodation. If we add to that the kindness of Roland and his sense of service and support, what a pleasure to be here!!! A beautiful family stay and the next vacation in Marseille!
