Beachfront vacation rentals in Old Lyme Shores

This house is a gem! I came to stay a week in off season with my dog, Rollo. The location is breathtaking, right on the Long Island Sound. We had a great time exploring the beach, looking for all the biodiversity in the birds and sea creatures, watching the boats, and this place is relatively close to an airport so watching the planes land and take off was awsome as well. We came for privacy, and I expected the beach to be a little more private than it was due to my dog's reactivity. But the neighbors did not seem to have issues with us, and once you are close to the water, especially in low tide, the beach is pretty open for all the locals. Walking around, the locals all waved and said hello. Not too many restaurants close by, but the Lobster Shack down the road had good food! Would stay again! The deck alone was worth it!

We had a great stay at this cottage- it was a perfect size for our family and was extremely clean, warm and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the quick walk to the beach, and proximity to town. Hosts were very friendly and responsive but never intrusive. Would highly recommend.

We come to Montauk often & loved this spot. Walkable & convenient to town plus a beach pass. The accommodation had plenty of space for a family with convenient parking. Highly recommend!

Third stay at Azure cottage. A perfect location with amazing views any time of year

This house was perfect for two families and our kids! There are two bedrooms upstairs and one downstairs, with a bathroom on each floor. The view out the window of the water was really cool, and everything in the home was perfect! We all had a great time! And close enough to the aquarium to make a trip! We would stay again!

Our stay at Matthew’s place was wonderful. The location is so close to the beach, it sort of feels like you’re on a boat! Lots of space, light, and comfy furniture. The hot tub was excellent for a winter getaway. Matthew was also very communicative and welcoming. Would definitely book again!

Don't walk run and book your stay here. I mean wow! Mary's place is unbelievably beautiful, clean, comfortable, spacious, peaceful and very private. She has everything you need and then some. I'm so glad I picked this place to spend my 50th. You will not regret it. Thank You Mary🫶🏻

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was super comfortable and spacious, with so many cute and thoughtful touches throughout. Matthew & Celia were ideal hosts, being very communicative and helpful in any way possible. We got lucky enough that it snowed on us while we sat in the hot tub, and that combined with the view of the water.. just magical! This stay was a great memory and my only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Definitely would recommend!

A brief stay but a great stay. It was offseason but we got lucky with sunny October weather. The stay was less than a 5 minute drive from the main village with tons of shops, cafes, etc.. the room itself had a beautiful ocean view and was very clean and comfy. Nice shower, comfy beds, plenty of linens and towels provided. Parking included. Overall a very nice stay.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here and hope to return. It is perfect for our family of ten. Six adults and four children. There is something for everyone. There are outdoor activities and indoor activities. The children's books were upgraded this year and a big hit. The pool is delightful and Tyson was proactive in making sure the temperature was right. The house is clean. It has everything you need with no added clutter. Anne was generous in allowing us to stay a bit later when checking out and we appreciated it.

Stayed for NYE and my only complaint is I wish we booked it for a longer stay. Walkable to a cute lighthouse and beach, quick drive to NofoRoco - the perfect combo.

Michael was an amazing host - he was responsive, kind, gracious and incredibly helpful in getting our large group of girls comfortable in his home. He gave us a ton of great food recommendations and tips for things to do around town. The house (especially the yard) exceeded expectations and looked even better in real life than in the photos. We loved our experience here!

This stay was even nicer than its pictures. Went during “off season”, so many places were closed in the area. However, the actual airbnb made up for that. It was beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. We had our own ocean view and easy beach access.

Great house, we wish we could have stayed longer but due to weather we were only there one night. Very comfortable home, plenty of space, we would love to come back in the warmer months to enjoy the pool! We have stayed in many rentals in the area (family nearby) and this has been the nicest one.

Overall relaxing stay and trip to Greenport. Sherri is very communicative and her instructions and listing is clear and accurate. The condo is well decorated and clean and has everything you need for a nice weekend. One thing to note- we were aware check in is between 3 and 5 pm based on the listing (wound up being around 4) but it would be nice for it to be earlier. Still 5 stars though!

Such a lovely home right on the water! Spent a cozy New Year’s Eve here with 6 people, great location to downtown Greenport. The home has a ton of character, one of the reasons we’d love to be back!

We continue to visit Rose’s house for our yearly weekend girls getaway. It’s the perfect cozy beautiful place to catch up with friends and relax. Rose is an amazing host!

We had a great experience. The home was beautiful and very clean. The deck off the living room was a great addition to relax and take in the views. We were even able to see the Northern Lights. I highly recommend this Air BNB.

Aimee’s house on Shelter Island was the perfect getaway for Thanksgiving. The home is warm, inviting, and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches that made our stay extra special. The location is serene and peaceful, offering a true escape from the hustle and bustle. Aimee was a fantastic host—responsive, friendly, and helpful throughout. We truly enjoyed our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to return!

Brandon's place was dreamy for our two families with young kiddos -- cozy and quiet winter beach vibes, very atmospheric and peaceful and relaxing. We built a fire in the fireplace, watched movies, enjoyed the sunrise and sunset, and walked along the rocky shore. Would recommend, even in the dead of winter.

We had a wonderful time! The cottage is well located; we were able to drive back & forth to New London, Mystic, & several other towns. We did so many things on this trip: saw a movie, saw a play, went to Ocean Beach twice, Mystic Seaport, & the Yale Peabody museum. My only complaint is that we should have stayed "home" more & enjoyed our own beach more often! We took walks every day and watched for the tide to reveal the sand bar & walked out there whenever we could, which was so cool! The sound of the water changed when the sandbar was revealed. We found lots of cool shells. We really appreciated the chairs & umbrella in the well stocked shed. We did a little grocery shopping and made egg sandwiches so we only ate out once a day which saved money. I ate my sandwiches outside day & night, something I never do at home. The house was completely stocked with everything needed plus some! The only negative was not enough curtains which made it too bright to sleep & not enough privacy.

Nice place to stay. Responsive host. Accurate photos and loved the location. Will definitely be back.

Jasons house was a perfect, comfortable stay for our group attending a wedding. It is a block from the water and gives you access to the private beach. The beds and couch were very comfortable and the space was clean.
