Vacation rentals in Nueva Gerona

Rafael is a lovely person who took great care of us. He has great energy and it was always a pleasure when he came to check on the apartment. He came in and kept the place clean and changed the linens and washed the floors properly and gave us help whenever we needed it. It was lovely to have a place to cook and relax in the livingroom. I would have liked the bathroom/shower to be cleaned more but all in all it was a lovely stay! We felt right at home and had lots of privacy. I would recommend the place to anyone looking for an apartment in Nueva Gerona.

Aliannys and Orlando were the best hosts possible. This trip would have been absolutely impossible without their advice and assistance. They went out of their way to organize the ferry tickets for us (a difficult thing to do from outside Cuba), gave us instructions on how to catch the ferry, met us at Neuva Gerona, and drove through with us to their Casa at Cocodrilo at midnight. Way beyond the call of duty of any Airbnb host. The accommodation at Cocodrilo is simple, but completely adequate. Aliannys cooked us delicious meals, including the freshest fish and locally caught crabs. We snorkelled off the rocks, directly in front of their home, and delighted in the clear warm water, coral and tropical fish. We walked through the forest to a beach about 2km from the village and did not see a soul. This is paradise for any traveler who is prepared to go off the beaten track to enjoy the remote corners of Cuba. Well worth the mission of the 12 hr bus/ferry trip from Havana!

An amazing place to stay if you are visiting la Isla! Room in spacious and clean, staff is helpful and friendly, breakfast was delicious, great tips from the locals....and so on. Nice and big garden in the back to relax in the evening.

Alina and her family are wonderful hosts. They go above and beyond to take care of their guests. Travelling to Nueva Gerona is a long journey, made easier with help from Alina. We arrived late (hungry and tired). Our hosts welcomed us like family. Likewise, on our early-morning departure, our hosts were awake before dawn to serve coffee and send us away with snacks for the long trip home. On one occasion, we opted to dine at Alina's table instead of going out to a restaurant... an incredible feast of lobster and good conversation. Thanks for the memories, Dave and Nadia
