A peaceful cosy cottage

JulianRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Spacious and warm cottage in a great location for exploring beautiful Northumberland. Bellingham is a great place to stay with pubs, places to eat, co-op, butchers, etc. We loved the Hareshaw Linn walk to the waterfall, followed by a visit to Tea on The Train, which is a fun way to have lunch on an old Inter City train carriage! Kielder Observatory is only 30 minutes away for unbeatable stargazing. What a fantastic trip! We will look for Norma's cottage again on our next visit to Northumberland.

Cottage on Stunning Country Estate (zero CO2)

MartinRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Lovely little getaway for our golfing holiday as a base, set between Jedburgh and Denholm. A private garden and cosy living space, it was as described on the listing. Marjorie was a welcoming host, and was very responsive to our queries, and was more than happy to help with local recommendations. A beautiful setting if after walking, a quiet getaway or a location to pick for golf as we did.

Large farmhouse with valley views in rural setting

AnnaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Follions is a great large house for a family/friends get together. Lots of space inside and out and plenty of stuff in the kitchen to cook up a feast for everyone. There was a slight issue with the heating when we arrived but Richard answered our call straight away and talked us through getting it fixed and after that the house was lovely and warm the rest of the weekend. Great selection of games and dvds too!

We had an amazing stay at the Orchard hideaway - it is in beautiful, rural and peaceful surroundings, and is exactly like the photos. It is private, warm and very clean, the hot tub is great and well maintained, and the host has thought of everything to make it a comfortable relaxing stay. We would love to come back and 100% recommend!

The Forge Burnfoot - set in tranquil Coquetdale

EleriRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Possibly the nicest holiday cottage we’ve ever stayed in! Very comfortable, lovely furnishings and local art, wonderful bedrooms and bathrooms. The location is excellent - wonderfully placed for walks in Upper Coquetdale or days out to Rothbury, Cragside, and Alnwick. We are already wondering how soon we can return…

The Bothy On The River Rede !

EstherRating, 5 stars3 days ago
Me and my boyfriend stayed for a night and absolutely loved it 🥰 couldn’t have asked for a better time or better hosts! We have already decided that we will be staying again on our next trip to Northumberland. Fred and George the ponies, and all 5 doggies were lush. Both ponies greeted us as we were driving in and it absolutely made my day. Highly recommend this wonderful place 🫶🏼

Spacious and bright cottage with fabulous views

MichelleRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Had a lovely few days at the bungalow. The place was beautifully clean, light and airy. Lots of space and very comfortable. Had everything we needed. View from the garden is amazing! We have an anxious, reactive dog who is nervous around other dogs and new people and this place, being so peaceful, was perfect. We could enjoy the view from the back garden of the fields and sheep, but we didnt need to worry about people/dogs coming past and the area around the house and the village itself was lovely and quiet. The garden was enclosed with a low fence all the way round which was perfect for us. House was also conveniently located near to Morpeth and an easy drive to the coast for lovely walks at Druridge Bay beach. We would definitely return.

Countryside home in County Durham

SamanthaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
My friend and I stayed at Jane’s cottage for one night with our 18 and 15 month old boys. Jane was really responsive in the lead up to check in; checking in couldn’t have been more simple! As soon as we arrived at the cottage we felt right at home in the cosy living room with the log burner; the boys were kept well entertained with the toys and books provided by Jane, and mealtimes and bedtimes were made much easier with the high chairs, well stocked kitchen and cots provided. The location was so calm and peaceful, which was just what we needed after a busy day with two one year olds! We all really enjoyed our stay and couldn’t recommend Jane and her lovely little cottage enough 🤎 Thanks, Jane, for a lovely little getaway 🤎

A beautiful old cottage on a lovely farm in the wilds of Northumberland. It is very spacious and has everything you need, and Valerie is extremely helpful. She was amazing when we got stuck in the snow! Fantastic place for exploring Hadrian's wall and all the local roman sites.

The cottage is beautiful, had all the amenities and mod cons needed. The enclosed garden was a great place to sit and peacefully enjoy the sunshine (even in March!) with the dogs. Extremely clean and well presented, and Scott was great to communicate with. Thank you!

Shearling Cottage, 10 minutes from Bamburgh

IanRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Comfortable and convenient base from which to explore the area. The unlimited supply of coal for the multifuel stove was particularly appreciated. Victoria was very proactive when I initially booked the wrong dates in error and organised a refund from Air bnb extremely efficiently. Good, escape proof accommodation if you are taking your dog. Very rural and peaceful location. Convenient off=road parking at rear of the property.
