Vacation rentals with a fireplace in North Shields

This place was absolutely perfect. Lovely location in a quiet village less than 10 minutes to Durham. It was clean, spacious, and Tom made sure we had everything available, even adding a nice touch of Prosecco and milk. Check in was easy and Tom was quick with communication. Would definitely recommend and we would certainly come back. Thanks Tom!

An easy 5 stars. This was our 2nd time staying in Whitley Bay in one of Joanne and John’s homes and we couldn’t have been happier. They are fantastic hosts and the property was amazing. Turning up to have bread, milk and teabags as well as some other treats was lovely and the home had everything we needed. The location is walking distance to the high street, beach and some great local restaurants. The Christmas tree and log fire were such a magic touch. Thank you for a wonderful Christmas in your home!

Ellen’s place is ideal location - we travelled down for sky diving and a trip to Durham both a great distance from the Airbnb. Ellen was friendly and proactive and the space is clean and cosy - very homely. Definitely recommend.

Beautiful house with lovely decorations/ extra touches such as candles, cosy blankets etc. The log burner made the house feel cosy and there was plenty of logs provided. The kitchen/dining area was very well equiped with plenty of plates etc. There were also lots of extras provided such as washing up liquid, bin bags, tea, coffee, sugar etc. The only thing we needed to buy was some dishwasher tablets. The bathroom was probably the one area that wasn't 5 star as the hot tap handle kept falling off. The shower was also very noisy and leaked so this could only be used when everyone was awake (if you have any older members in your party they will probably need to use the ensuite shower as the shower in the bathroom is over the bathtub which has very high sides so is tricky to get in/ out of). Overall a beautiful house in a tranquil setting. Thank you.

Gareth's house was perfect for our stay over Christmas. On street parking outside of the house made unpacking and getting the kids out of the car easy. The house is situated on a quiet street within walking distance of the town, park and riverside walks. It is also close to public transport to take you to Durham and Newcastle. The house is decorated to a hight standard with new bathrooms and kitchen. Gareth had added some lovely little Christmas decorations which made the house feel warm and cosy. We would definitely book Gareth's place again in the future. Thank you.

Just the most perfect place for our short stay, Bottleworks cottage is in the most wonderful location for our two dogs, just minutes from the beach. The cottage was extremely well equipped, with some thoughtful touches, which made our stay that much more special. We would thoroughly recommend and would be pleased to book again soon. Seldom is where we stay one of the highlights of our trip, but this townhouse definitely was. It was absolutely amazing. It was warm and comfortable after coming in from our chilly all day excursions. The beds were comfortable, the house extremely clean and the amenities absolute perfection.

Holly House was a lovely Victorian Terraced House, which was spacious, decorated in a modern style, with a fantastic bathroom, and extra loo downstairs, the kitchen was modern and had more than we needed. There was also a garage and a backyard which was great for our dog poppy. The 3 bedrooms were great and enough room for all of us, there was only 4 adults (2 couples), as our 5th person sadly couldn't make it. We had milk, water, orange juice and croissants upon arrival which was a nice extra touch. It was ideal for us as a family and would recommend to other family if they are wanting to stay in the North East, it was a great base for us to attend a family occasion.

Marie and Peter were wonderful hosts—responsive, incredibly friendly, and very helpful. The location was absolutely perfect for my needs, making my stay really convenient. I truly appreciated their hospitality and would happily stay again when visiting my daughter.

Fantastic stay. Carla was very welcoming and helpful throughout. The apartment is in a beautiful part of town, only 10 mins walk to the centre. It would be really hard to fault it.

What a gem of a place! Perfect for a long weekend in Durham and we definitely hope to return. Lisa sorted parking permits for us and changed our booking dates - she couldn’t have been more helpful and friendly. The place was clean and warm, with some lovely treats to welcome us in. Recommend without hesitation.

A lovely well maintained property that is exactly as shown and described. The property is in a perfect spot with the beach opposite and a couple of cafes or further restaurants and bars about 10 minutes walk away. The property has a fantastic host, who is fast to respond to messages or queries. Highly recommend it, definitely will be returning in future.

We had a lovely stay at Linda's flat over the weekend. There was plenty of space for four of us, the place was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The area is very nice, with some shops and cafes a short walk away and close to the Metro. Linda was a lovely host, and was very helpful and quick to answer and questions.

It felt like home from home . Beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay there . We will definitely stay here again should we visit Seaham in the future

Nice flat in Gosforth. Really clean and quiet. Kitchen has got everything you need to spend a few days. Hosts offer a travel cot which was very handy. Quiet area, minutes away from Metro and bus to the city centre. Very nice local businesses around.
