Cottage vacation rentals in North Down

We recently stayed at this incredible place and can’t believe I didn’t find it sooner! With breathtaking views of the Mourne Mountains and the tranquility of the countryside, it was the perfect escape. The house is fully equipped and feels like a home away from home. The hot tub was the cherry on top, offering a relaxing soak with stunning scenery. Brendan, the host, is very responsive and truly values his guests, making the experience even better. The pictures don’t do this place justice—it’s even more beautiful in person! We left rejuvenated and can’t wait to return. Highly recommend!

Mike's place was just beautiful and peaceful. Me and my boyfriend had an amazing time and enjoyed the projector for movies, the hottub all day and especially at night watching the stars. The beautiful little kitchen made us feel like we were just at home. Mike himself was and amazing cosy and so helpful. We will definitely be back. Thank you

We had a lovely stay in Elsies Cottage. As soon as we arrived we received a warm welcome from Yvonne. She made us feel very welcome and explained everything we needed to know and if we needed anything else nothing was a problem. She was also very kind to our daughter and recommended different places for us to go and get food and get hot chocolate with mallows (of course) which we really appreciated 😊 Elsies cottage was so warm and cosy the whole time we were there. The underground heating was a real treat. The hottub outside was a bonus too! Everywhere else in Elsie's cottage was immaculate and very well looked after. It is also very close to the town which made it handy to go and get food and get to the shops. We are very happy with our stay and will definitely be back!

David was absolutely lovely and fantastic at helping us get immersed in his experience. He was also extremely informative on the local things to do and where to go. He was very kind and a very good character. He evidently works very hard on his properties and his efforts as a film director have definitely shone through. Much recommended.

Absolutely a great place to stay. Very clean and plenty of room!! So cute!! Loved being on the water. Didn’t want to leave!

The most beautiful wee spot . Place is just as the pictures and Janet had left us the most thoughtful of welcome gifts, not forgetting about our furry baby. Everything was perfect, would. E back again in a heartbeat .😊

Very Beautiful cottage. Private and peaceful! My children enjoyed the play ground and roasting Marshmallows outside. The surroundings views were beautiful! Cottage was clean with everything needed for a good stay! Beds were comfortable! Thank you so much for having us! We enjoyed our stay!

Sally was always very quick to reply and instructions were clear. We arrived very late and the cottage was warm and welcoming. Everything was clean and it had what we needed, even better than the photo's. The area is beautiful, lovely and quiet and it wasn't too far from family we were there to visit for Christmas. Steen’s cottage was immaculate, cosy and tastefully renovated. We had a very enjoyable and peaceful time and the welcome pack was a thoughtful addition. There were lots of lovely walks nearby and a beautiful outlook. Highly recommended.

Myself and my family stayed at the look out for one night and it was so gorgeous! Beautifulllll views, such a cool vibe inside, lovely and cosy and relaxing! Would recommend for a chilled night away! We had our one year old with us and they were very accommodating with a high chair and a travel cot, the only thing if I was coming again I would bring a stair gate as there is no door from the living area to the stairs so that was a bit of a worry but everything else was absolutely perfect and Jennifer was easy to contact and had some recommendations for us also ☺️ would highly recommend the look out!

My husband, daughter, cokapoo and I wanted Christmas just us, away from it all and Joanna's place was exactly what we wanted. The cottage is beautiful with amazing original features and the cosiest livingroom ever! The garden is amazing for dogs but not secure so if your pooch likes to wander, keep an eye. Our dog doesn't run off so we were happy to let her sniff and run around enjoying herself. The kitchen could have been a bit cleaner but everywhere else was spotless. Joanna was easy to communicate with and very kind with the early check in and wood for the fire. Thank you Joanna!

Exceeded our expectations for sure. Enjoyed every minute. Host went out of her way to meet with us. Cottage did not lack anything. Area was quite and in the middle of nature.

Stayed for 2 nights, place was clean and tidy, beds are soooo comfortable which is always the main focus of my stays! Beautiful rural location but very close to everything, will definetly return! thankyou

Catriona and Desi's house was very comfortable. It was warm and cosy and extremely clean. Nice private back yard for eating outside etc. Check in was easy and straightforward with the lockbox was everything was very straightforward to use once inside. The main street and beach are only a 5 minute walk from the property down the hill. The only negative (and its only a small negative) with this property was the parking. Its at the back of the house where the rest of the row of houses have to have access to as well. We managed okay as we were in a smaller car for our trip but had we been in the bigger vehicle we would have had difficulty getting in and out. There's a good parking space opposite the back yard, it's just a bit tricky trying to get manoeuvered down into it. But that's the only small negative there was. Only met one of the neighbours when there who was very friendly and welcoming. Overall I would recommend Catriona and Desi's place. A lovely house. Has everything needed.

Lovely house, everything you would expect. Home to home. Great location, easy to park and easy to explore the surrounding area. Well worth the costs and recommend highly.

What a really special place this is; tucked away in the beauty of the surrounding countryside. If you're looking for a country-getaway this is the place to go! Although it was bitterly cold outside, the underfloor heating in the hallway and the kitchen was amazing to come back into, and in the evening we could get the wood burner going in the cozy living room. Lynda was really proactive and helpful in making sure we arrived, checked-in and got settled in. The house was absolutely spotless and there were some really lovely touches around to make the place feel like home away from home. Thank you so much Lynda for having us!

Turtle Cottage was a relaxing and peaceful place to stay. Our family all gathered there for a weekend and it had everything we needed. The traditional interior was lovely and even better than the photos. It really felt like we were staying in a home, which we appreciated. The trails around the house were magical and you are right on the water for exploring local wildlife so although the area is quiet there is so much to do, as well as everything for tennis, water activities and dvds inside the house. We loved it. Thank you for having us Tara!

We had a very relaxing stay at Francis & Dorothy's place. They were very friendly and happy to chat with great suggestions of places to visit. The bed was comfy and warm. The breakfast basket was full of lovely goodies. Would definitely stay again! 😀

Alexandra's place is exactly as described, and she was a really friendly, accommodating host. We unfortunately missed half our stay due to a flight cancellation and my only regret is that we didn't get to spend more time there. One thing to be aware of if you have dogs (we didn't have ours with us) - there is no enclosed outdoor space, so plan ahead / bring a long lead!

Cottage was warm and cozy.Kitchen was well equipped. Cottage was near to causeway coastal route and most of the attractions.Drive through country roads with sheep,horse and cattle gazing was nice experience.We had a lovely stay.Highly recommended for friends and family.
