Cottage vacation rentals in Nordfriesland

There were three of us vacationing here in this fantastically beautiful house and loved it. The location is unique if you are looking for peace. The beach is within walking distance and natural. Sonderburg is just under 30 minutes away by car. We had a great night's sleep and enjoyed the hyggelig atmosphere with fireplace and sauna. The amenities are perfect. Jesper is so incredibly friendly and accommodating. We will be happy to come back at any time and are also happy to recommend the accommodation. Best to you and your family, Jesper.

Régis and Johanna are New in Airbnb and have a high motivation to improve by listening to the customers (German, French and English speakers). The half of the house is large and located in a quiet country area. It's close to Hamburg (1h by car). The house is perfect for 2 families and can accept 4/6 adults and 4/6 children. The strength points are: - the 2 big rooms on the 1st floors, it' 2 independent areas with their own shower & WC, living room and the bedroom), really comfortable. A 3rd one is available on the 2nd floor. - on the ground floor a very useful place is dedicated to sports and children's play areas (with equipment). The living room and the terrace are large and ok for 8 persons. On demand, they can lend you barbecue, brasero, bikes and also advice. So we have enjoyed a pleasant break weekend!!!

A very great accommodation on an old courtyard area with great and individual and very nicely furnished apartments. Great for families with children, especially when using the shared KLÖNSTUV with cooking facilities (perfectly equipped kitchen) and fireplace and play corner for children. We were there with 3 families. Everyone had their retreat and could then be cooked and eaten together. The beautifully landscaped large garden with its own playground is fenced or forward to the street it is so far and twisted that small children would be intercepted. Sheep pastures "around" complete the picture. Really the only small minus point is that you would have to step directly onto the (small) road from the property without a sidewalk (you probably drive a car, but still...). There is a bike/footpath about 400 m away.

We liked it very much! The location in the village and to the sea is great! Very quiet area. Gladly come back. Great communication with Uschi.

We enjoyed the accommodation very much. The house was well equipped and we spent cozy days there. But it also made sense that we had Ohropax with us, as the cars are already audible. It is also important to know that the sauna costs €8 per hour, which is a fair price, but it was not clear to us before.

We have now spent our vacation in the chicken house for the 3rd time and every year we are looking forward to it anew. It is a true retreat, designed with a lot of love for detail and where you immediately feel at home. The quiet location and cozy atmosphere are just perfect for escaping the stress of everyday life. We would like to emphasise Astrid, who welcomes us every year with her warm and friendly manner. She is always there for you when you have questions. Their hospitality is very special and makes our stay an unforgettable experience every time. Another highlight is the farm shop, where you will be pampered with delicious cheese, fresh milk, eggs and meat from your own production. The products are simply outstanding and a true enjoyment experience. It is great to get high-quality food directly on site, which is made with a lot of love and care. See you next year.

Super quiet apartment on the dyke. We were there over New Year's Eve with our dog, who panic every year at the fireworks. We didn't hear a rocket or fireworks. A wonderful turn of the year for our whole family. The apartment itself is very cozy. Perfect for the cold days. Communication with Sinah and Boike is also top. The stay couldn't have been better.

Such a lovely and sweet place to escape to for a couple of days! Loved sitting in front of the fire while reading a book :) Jon was a great host, replied quickly and was there if any questions came up! I forgot my sweater and he was so nice to send it over via mail, which was very kind. Would definitely recommend staying here, we really enjoyed it :)

We had 10 beautiful and absolutely quiet days in this really cozy house. Perfect furnishings. Surrounded by pure nature, just wonderful. Deer and rabbits also came by almost daily:) To the beach and shopping in 8 minutes by car. You get everything you need. The perfect place to unwind and recharge your battery from everyday life! We will be happy to come back!

We stayed at the property for a week and felt very comfortable! The location was perfect, very quiet and therefore good for relaxing. The house was very special with a lot of love for detail. Everything was available, we didn't lack anything. Our dog also felt very comfortable, especially on the large windows in the conservatory. He felt like he was watching the cows all the time 😅 as we like to be around SPO, we'll be happy to come back. Very clean, spacious and well equipped cottage. Nice garden. Right on the beach/sea. It does indeed get warm inside quickly when the sun is on the cottage (see previous reviews), but cools back quickly when you open the windows. Jesper is easily accessible/responds quickly to any questions.

We felt very comfortable in the beautiful and stylish house. However, guests with a size from 1.90 m have to permanently retract their heads because of the low ceiling beams in the kitchen, hallway and bedrooms - my husband and son have hit hard several times. We smaller ones had no problems with this. Overall, it was a beautiful stay. The large living room upstairs (with high ceiling!) invites the whole family to get together, lots of seating and completely muggy! The kitchen is super equipped. The whole family can be accommodated at the large dining table and in the sunshine the small bay area with the two armchairs is fantastically beautiful, the deer jumping over the opposite meadow even in the bright day.

We had a great week in the beautiful cottage of Johanne and Jesper. The location is super nice quiet with a view of the water, the house is lovingly and tastefully decorated and was very clean. Our son was especially happy about the many toys (especially the great play kitchen) and the swing. We all felt very comfortable. The communication was very nice and messages were always answered quickly. Unfortunately, we were not so lucky with the weather, but Johanne and Jesper sent us many tips for things to do in the area in case of bad weather. We can definitely recommend the cottage! :)

We really only have positives to report. A nice, clean place to stay that fits the description and pictures. We particularly liked the view and the proximity to the Baltic Sea. So it's ideal with children who like to stay in the water. The existing SUPs were the special highlight of our children. Anna is a good host and the contact was always great. The nice welcome with a nice menu, treats and little things for the children also put us in the holiday mood. We would always recommend them and would be happy to come back.

Cozy cabin, and an exciting night for the kids. Great with lots of outdoor activities, and the opportunity to play football, padel and rent balls and bats there. Separate kitchen in another building was fine.

Lovely and cozy cottage. Well-equipped kitchen with plenty of space. Really cozy and private terraces around the house. We had a quiet and quiet holiday in beautiful natural surroundings. You can see the beach out the windows, so close it's on. Just a short drive into Sønderborg C., which is a really cozy town with lots of sights and shops. Cute hosts who were easy to communicate with. Highly recommended 😊
