Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Nicoya Peninsula

Lovely home in a beautiful location. There were 4 of us. The layout of bedrooms and bathrooms worked well. The kitchen was fully appointed and the home was comfortable. I highly recommend a stay at this beautiful home on Lake Arenal.

A true paradise with gorgeous views of the lake, birds, trees and sunsets. The property is even more beautiful than the pictures. Unique custom home built with attention to detail, with numerous spots to relax. Sunroom on the second floor was our fave for viewing the sunsets over the lake, and there were two living rooms, a bar for serving drinks, a courtyard, and a patio by the pool. The hand carved wooden master bed and other furniture is amazing. Everything you need to cook is there, and we celebrated Christmas with family. Comfortable beds, great showers., plenty of towels, and a washer/dryer. Close to activities and amazing restaurants (we loved Gingerbread, Cafe Corazon, the German Bakery, and in Fortuna was the Red Frog). Diego was super responsive and helpful, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Super quiet and private, well off the residential road. Spiral staircase to the master and two bedrooms, and short staircase to the other 3 bedrooms. True paradise!!!

Absolutely beautiful. Loved the well thought out design of the house. Stunning views from every room! We saw tons of Toucan's and other birds, an anteater, and a few monkeys. Great hike to the waterfall...really appreciated the high water boots and walking sticks provided! We rafted and ziplined while staying in El Castillo---so fun! Have to have a 4 x 4.

We stayed at 3 different locations in Costa Rica and this one was above and beyond! Exactly as described and we felt right at home (a home in the clouds)

This house is amazing- a true gem. The location is pure magic, spectacular ocean view, infinity pool, great house, very confortable deck and the open kitchen is the cherry on top. The magic comes in so many layers: Sunrise - crispy clear air Daytime - sunny but not over the top hot. The house is located in a place where the breeze cools it down. Working on the deck took zoom calls to another level Sunset - pure magic from the deck. The colors are incredible and the crickets join in once the sun goes down. Night - enjoy the milky way from the roof. What a sight. Sleepy time - the house sits on top of a hill, but the valley echos the waves from the beach. Its like you're front row to the waves. This is such a great house and Gil is an incredible host! I'll be back

This home is beautiful and the location on the beach is amazing. There was a learning curve to get the air conditioning working properly which was likely user error on our part. Bring a soft cooler to carry cold beverages down to the beach so you dont need to run up and down the stairs.. Despite the minor criticisms above i would highly recommend this place. Thank you for allowing us to stay!

This was my LIR to Arenal interim stop on way to La Fortuna since we landed after 2:00PM. I only wish we could have stayed for more than one night. It was clean and very elegant yet homey. The view in the morning was to die for.

The views from this apartment are beautiful! The apartment itself was very clean. We were only here one night but wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the pool and walks around the property.

Teako House was a really great stay, incredible value for the money, and a truly local experience in a real tico neighborhood that is located in a lush peaceful valley. The apartment was simple but surprisingly spacious and upgrades have been made since these pictures so I found things a bit more spruced up than I expected! From the little terrace you can see the surrounding teak farm and watch the clouds roll by (literally, you're in a cloud forest sometimes!). And the host Juan Carlos is a super nice local surfer and business owner who is stoked to offer up recommendations, etc. if you want them. I had to get some work done during my stay so I particularly appreciated the fast wifi and gorgeous relaxing nature view from the dining table that I used as my desk.

This condo is in the most beautiful location, perfect view of the volcano from the balcony!! The space was clean and comfortable beds and furniture. Fully equipped kitchen, big bathroom with large jet tub, and in suite washer and dryer. The host had great communication. Responded quickly late in the evening to our booking request to let us stay in his beautiful place, saving us from the original nightmare Airbnb be booked for that night! I can’t thank the host enough for the responsiveness and the truly wonderful condo right on Lake Arenal!! P.S. Completely ignore the person that left the low rating review about this place. The person should be ashamed to leave a low review for such an incredible place!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The staff was welcoming and very helpful. The views and wildlife were amazing. The monkeys are so fun to watch in the late afternoon. It was well situated for both our night and day wildlife tours. Wonderful experience!

We really enjoyed our stay at Danielle’s place! The decorations are unique and fun without being over the top, and it’s roomy and comfortable. Danielle and Diego are responsive and helpful. Our week-long stay coincided with some unseasonable rain, and we spent a few days just hanging out indoors which was awesome. Would stay again.

The house was great but you will need a golf cart if you want to run back and forth to the downtown area. The walk is nice the first time but 3 to 4 times a day is too much.

Beyond having a wonderful stay here, these hosts are fantastic—extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. You can trust them and will be well taken care of when booking at their property. The property itself is tucked high up on a rough hill in seclusion (hope you're planning on having a 4x4), but only about 15 minutes to get to the main streets of La Fortuna. It was spotless and beautifully done, with a well-landscaped property and thoughtful touches. I will not hesitate to book my next visit to this area with them again!

This was the most amazing air bnb i have ever stayed in. The hosts were so friendly and helpful - I felt very reassured by them the whole way through. The house is amazing with wildlife and jungle all around - it truely is epic. The bed is so comfy and the outdoor shower is just awesome. I can’t sing this place’s praises high enough. Marbella is BEAUTIFUL and, as Giselle said when we arrived, “the real Costa Rica”, I couldn’t have put it better myself. Despite the challenging roads (which would have been dead easy in a 4x4) it was made simple by both hosts. Even when we asked about the roads to our next destination, they had so much advice! Please come here and experience this once in a life time home.

Fabulous place. It is a little remote; at the time we were there was the only habitable house in the subdivision. But this gives it privacy and it is surrounded by jungle, so we had many animals and birds we could see from the house. Home is very large and high end; the outdoor space in particular is awesome - lots of shaded seating, but sunny options and a huge pool. This part of Costa Rica is not very developed; the roads are rough with top speeds of 40 km/hr but potholes that slow you to near zero. Also a few minor river crossings when we were there. All easily handled by our 4x4 Fortuner, and we saw many doing the same with lesser SUVs. Steven was an excellent host with clear instructions and made sure our visit was comfortable. He was very easy to reach and took care of a few minor issues quickly. The basement has two small beds in one room and a king in the other. You need to go outside to get from this area to the main house, so may not be ideal for smaller children.

Great house for my big family. upstairs floors were pretty slick. Spent a day without hot water but it kinda added to the trip. Beautiful home.
