Beautiful cottage in a lovely area! Enjoyed walks along the canal and local town has everything you could possibly need and more! Bed in second bedroom could compete for the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Great for visiting son at Cardiff uni without needing to be in the city. Can’t wait to stay again.

Chris the host is clearly experienced, instructions were clear and anytime you had a question the response times were rapid! Would definitely stay here again if I needed to return to Newport. I have stayed at Well Cottage since late 2024 as a home from home with working locally. This is a fantastic little gem with amazing views. The house is perfectly presented and was immaculate every time I checked in. The instructions to get there are excellent just make sure you download / print them as the local area has patches of poor phone signal at times. The amenities at the house are excellent with everything you need. Internet access is fantastic and the night time views are utterly amazing when you have a clear sky. It is a little out of the hustle and bustle of the towns but that is perfect for my needs. There are lots of local walks and if you don't mind stretching your legs there are a couple of local pubs within walking distance that also serve serve food. Kevin and Alice have been the perfect hosts and it is a pleasure to have called Well Cottage my (part time) home. It is on my list of places to return to even when my work in the area is done.

Amy was an exceptional host: friendly, responsive, and thoughtful. She made sure I had everything I needed and even left a few personal touches that made the stay feel extra special. We had a great stay in this cottage. It was cozy, warm and spotlessly clean. Perfect location as it’s a short walk to the pubs and restaurants in the village. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed here for the Newport marathon and it was just what we needed - great location, easy to get the bus or walk into the city centre, quiet and comfy. Easy to drive out into the countryside to go mountain biking too. Good communication from the friendly hosts too.
