Cottage vacation rentals in Newport, Downe

This was the perfect cottage getaway for my girls weekend! We were cozy and comfortable in the cottage, and Jessica made sure of it. It was Valentine's Day weekend (Galentines for us!) and Jessica had the cutest details set out for us - heart mugs, heart decorations and dark chocolate! The beds and blankets were super comfortable, we loved using the hot tub (and we did it at sunset!) and the dock was beautiful and scenic! We look forward to booking with Jessica again. Thank you, Jessica, for everything you did to make our stay memorable and wonderful!

We had a wonderful stay at Uncle Buck’s. Our only problem was the stay was too short! Lisa made the place feel like you were borrowing a friend’s house for a few days. She was very responsive to the few simple questions we had. We are already looking for dates for another visit. As an aside, we met a good friend of ours for a drink when we got home and when we showed him pictures, he immediately recognized it. It turns out he had stayed there with some other friends of ours a few summers back.

We had an amazing weekend in this spacious bungalow!! We love Cape May and this place didn’t disappoint! Would definitely want to come back and stay again!

We loved our stay here . The grandkids and everyone had a great time with all the amenities provided . Kayaking , fishing , crabbing , swimming etc . We also enjoyed the outdoor concert at the pier & the nearby restaurants ! Would definitely love to stay here again . Salvatore was very friendly and helpful !

2nd time at the Cottage and there will be a 3rd! Peace & Serene….beautiful Sunrises and Sunsets……if your looking to spend quality time with the one you love this is the place to be and as a bonus make you keep your eye out for the Bald Eagles!!!!

This place was beyond clean and everything was great. The house itself was beautiful and organized. Teresa was very responsive and accommodating!! Will be visiting this place again!

Meghan's beautiful waterfront get away was such a perfect place to spend a long weekend with great friends celebrating summer. There is plenty of wonderfully decorated and furnished spaces both inside and out. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the lower deck, dinners on the shady patio in the front, and the most glorious sunsets on the top deck! We loved being right on the bay with fabulous access to the beach. We seemed to be visiting at the height of the horseshoe crab death march so we didn't spend much time on the actual beach, but the sunny deck and sandy area right in front of the house were perfect for a few relaxing afternoons. The detached bedroom and bath was an exceptional perk to the listing. We will definitely look forward to returning to Meghan's home again.

House was very clean and the space was perfect for our family, including 2 small dogs. Location is a quick and easy drive to all major Cape May activities and popular restaurants. Lots of spacious hang-out areas in the house, and appreciated all the amenities of dishwasher, laundry, wifi and large TV. Quiet neighborhood. Would definitely book this house again.

This was my first time to Cape May. I took a mommy daughter trip and i can’t rave about this place enough. The house was beautiful and cozy. And i loved that it was pet friendly and we got to bring our Rosie girl along with us. I can’t thank you enough for opening your home to us and the amount of appreciation we had for such an incredible trip. It was close enough to go all the places we wanted within a 15 minute drive so everything worked out perfectly. Thank you so much!!!

Thomas was extremely welcoming. We visited in the off-season and although the weather was frigid, we enjoyed our stay for a private getaway. Thomas was sure to make us feel at home and recommend places to visit and eat while we were in town. Looking forward to visiting again in the summer!

We came back to this Airbnb a second time. It was just as lovely, beautiful, and serene to be in as the first time around. Thank you Kathleen and team for such a a wonderful stay and for being so great with communication and accommodations. 10/10 recommend this hidden gem! The entrance to the house may be hard to find at first, but once you do find the trail to drive in, it’s like driving through the enchanted forest into a private oasis. Thank you again!

My husband, 2 year and I brought our two dogs to this beautiful home. It felt like gone away from home. Highly recommended

We had a great winter getaway in Cape May. The location was very central and close to a lot of the attractions and the house was super clean and was fully stocked for our stay. Taylor even left us dog treats for our pup. The only thing that was upsetting was that the weather was too cold to enjoy the backyard. It was set up with cornhole, hammock, and out door seating around a fire pit. There was even a screen and projector. We have to come back when the weather is warm. Check-in/checkout was super easy with very well communicated instructions. Taylor also provided great recommendations for food and activities. Overall its was a fantastic experience and would 100% stay again next time we are in Cape May.

We stayed at the Mary’s airbnb for a New Year’s Eve wedding. With four bedrooms it was cozy and had plenty of space for our family. We loved having three bathrooms. It was clean and exactly what we needed. Thank you Mary.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! The cottage feels both sweet and cozy and high end at the same time: it’s beautifully kept! Very close to the beach and other amenities. Would absolutely recommend!

My husband and l are feeling happy, inspired, and refreshed after our much needed getaway. I can't say enough positive things about Sole Cottage and Stacey. From every thoughtful detail in their beautiful cottage to being less than a block from the beach and the glorious sunsets 🌅 It was a dream! I didn't know anything about Cape May before arriving (I like the spontaneous adventure, okay) but Stacey's recommendations were perfect—making the weekend easy and fun. If you need a romantic weekend for two or a family getaway, Sole Cottage is the place to stay.

What a wonderful, quiet and peaceful cottage for a girls weekend. We loved stying at the cottage. A quick walk to the lake. The neighbors were all very kind. Laura was great and responsive. Would stay here again!

This place is great for a quick getaway for two. It's a quick 2 minute walk behind the cottage to the beach and an easy walk to Cape May lighthouse & CMP state park. Leslie was very communicative, quick to answer questions, and helpful with local recommendations. We especially enjoyed the coffee bar - lots of options and well stocked! The bed was comfortably firm and the shower had great water pressure. We will be back when the weather is a bit warmer.

Perfect place for a long weekend with friends! The place was clean and spacious, more than enough room for our family of four. Good restaurants, right across the street. The boat slip was great and convenient also! Would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely be back!

Beautiful house, it was so peaceful I really didn’t want to go anywhere or do anything. Definitely would rent again!!

The Good: Charming, private and 99% clean. The cottage is in a great location, almost equidistant from the beach and the shops. Central AC and ceiling fans in each bedroom make for a comfy night sleep. Nice little outside patio area. The space is perfect for two couples. The Bad: Both beds are in desperate need of replacement and an upgrade; only barely adequate for a good night's sleep. The chairs in the kitchen are completely worn out and need to be replaced. The tile in both bathrooms is in need of a deep clean. Basic amenities should be replaced every visit ie salt, pepper, tissues, toilet paper, dish soap, etc. with quality supplies.
