We were so impressed with Jodi’s Cozy Cabin. It was by far the best Airbnb we have stayed in yet. Not only was it cozy with the most beautiful view of Croton Pond, it had all the amenities needed for a great stay. Jodi is a fabulous host and we can’t wait to come back for another stay!

Very cozy place and great amenities! I will say the water had a strong smell but everything otherwise was so nice! I especially loved the sauna and fire pit to relax and enjoy the view of the lake. Hosts were super friendly and responsive which was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend this spot to have a peaceful getaway 💕

If you are looking for a quirky, yet charming, cabin in quiet woods… this is the place! We wanted something peaceful and private for New Years, and this place definitely delivered. The kitchen is a bit outdated, so you may not want to cook a large dinner there (didn’t bother us), however the two full bathrooms were recently renovated and felt very luxurious- LOVED that shower! There is also a nice loop trail right outside of the cabin, clearly marked with blue dots. Our dog, somehow, already knew the way. And speaking of dogs, for a place that is dog friendly, the owners certainly do a great job of making sure the place is clean and smells nice. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely recommend this place to others.

"The Land" was perfect to celebrate an 80th Birthday. The main floor bedroom was great for the guest of honor. We ended up with 14 of us staying at the house (with a little coordination for the 2 bathrooms) it was a great set up. It helped that the weather was nice, so we could be outside by the fire or playing yard games. Some people enjoyed walks on the property as well. Nathan was very quick to answer all our questions. Not having internet or TV I think allowed for more interactions and game playing. Cell phones worked just fine. Thanks for sharing your place it will be a great memory for our family.

Great women’s trip, we had an amazing time. We love floating down the river, thus how we found this spot. The surroundings are beautiful. The host is very kind and quick to respond to any questions. Jason and Jennifer have a great cabin in a quiet location. They are friendly and responsive. Also keep the cabin up very nice and it is a cute and cozy place to stay. Very scenic with a lot of nature and history. Its easy to get to and an easy drive to the lake. There is endless of fun to do in the area and on the property as well. I had a great stay and made a lot of good memories.

The cleanest, most modern “cabin in the woods” you could possibly ever stay in. Cozy and perfectly accommodated my family of 3. Mark and Amy had everything labeled and a very handy binder of information, including their minimal check-out instructions, as well as a list of places to explore and eat. Highly recommend if you are in the area and want a more outdoorsy stay.

Croton House is a wonderful, comfortable, relaxing place to stay. The deck over looking the lake is perfect. We had a great time in the lake using the provided kayaks. It is the perfect lake to kayak on if you you are a novice like me. We really enjoyed swimming in the lake, as well. I did not notice in the description that it is important to bring water shoes, I may have missed that. We were able to buy some in town but had we known, we would have brought them from home. Be sure to bring them if you plan to go in the lake, which I highly recommend (so refreshing). We loved staying here and would request to book it again if we ever find ourselves in the area again.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. It’s a peaceful and relaxing location, perfect for a family retreat. The interior was beautiful, with stylish furniture, and everything we needed was provided. It was also very clean and well-maintained. The host was fantastic, professional, kind, and incredibly responsive. Although the weather didn’t allow us to use the kayaks and bikes, the host quickly provided them, along with an air pump when requested. Truly a great experience with a wonderful host!

Lynn was an amazing host. I had told her I was in the area for a baseball tournament when I booked the stay. When I arrived there was a personal note on a white board wishing us luck this weekend. Extremely beautiful home with a spectacular view. I brought my fishing kayak and fished both Friday and Saturday evenings. Relaxed and caught a few fish as well. Overall, I couldn’t have found a better place to stay. Loved it. Hopefully I will be back out there again but in the summer to enjoy the lake even more. Thanks Lynn! ☀️🐟🏡

Emily responded right away when i had a question . The house was absolutely beautiful. Emily did an exquisite job in decorating the home. We had everything we needed & more!!! It was so peaceful their. The Grandsons loved that they could walk to the river and fish. I have already recommended this house to a friend of ours. I will definitely rent this place again! Our girls weekend was spent so lovely here. The view is unmatched in the mornings with a hot cup of coffee! When we were ready for kayaks, Debra(host) gave us Rob’s info(works on the grounds) to help us with that. He was so kind and helpful, he even offered to help with firewood and starting our fire in the evening which he followed through with, with just a text. Rob deserves his own 5 stars!⭐️ Since we were the last guests before winterizing, Debra offered an evening check out option as well. So sweet! It’s definitely a tiny home so make sure you like the person you’re staying with hehe We loved it! :)

Definitely book your stay here! With permission, we had a very small wedding on-site and it was the perfect weekend for all. The host was extremely kind and responsive. I had a question about the property once we arrived, and I received a phone call right away in response. Everything is very well maintained, CLEAN, and unlike many rentals-plentiful. We had more than enough of everything despite the extra guests. The backyard yields an incredible view. Not only of the water, but of an amazing sunset as well. Super friendly area, with plenty of food options close by. This place exceeded our expectations in all categories. Everyone that visited/stayed raved about the the view, the kayaking, the healthy board game collection, the smores by the fire, the multiple yard games, and even how comfy and clean their beds were. You will not be disappointed, and if you somehow are-this host will help.

We enjoyed our stay. It was a great location for 3 days of Steelhead fishing on the Muskegon River. I would recommend this house for a small family looking to take advantage of the lake and area around Newaygo.
