Kid-friendly vacation rentals in West Virginia

This little home was very cozy and cute. It was extremely clean with no strong fragrances from plug ins or laundry detergents. We are sensitive to strong, chemical smells and we were very comfortable here. It was a five minute drive to our destination, we lived the beautiful trees in the backyard and the surrounding houses were quiet. It was a peaceful stay! Thank you!

Stayed overnight on a road trip Everyhting was great.

My wife loves Harry Potter, so of course, I had to book the place for her birthday as a getaway. To say she was in awe is an understatement! The place is small and beautiful and definitely depicted the theme to a “T”. We would highly recommend any Harry Potter enthusiast to book a trip and enjoy. The hosts we very nice. The place was clean and adorable. Since our life always has us on the go, we really didn’t go out much but that was exactly what we wanted. The escape room was also very cool. I believe my wife said, “ this place is a 12/10”.

Our stay at Jessica's listing was very relaxing. The home is so welcoming and well stocked. Plenty of clean towels and kitchen was well equipped. Jessica was quick to respond when I had a question and so friendly. The area is beautiful and the town is quaint. Our family hiked on trails at New River and Summersville Lake. I would like to go back again during the summer to experience the area. We did most of our own meal prep but did have a meal at the local pub, Maloney's and it was delicious! Thank you for your kind hospitality Jessica and Summersville! It was fun!

First of all I want to thank Shane for being there for us. My sister resides across from this place and our mother had just entered hospice. Because of Shane I was able to spend my mother's last moments with her and be near my sister for support. This just attests to the great character, kindness, and heart that Shane possesses. There's not enough people like this in the world, especially nowadays. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. And it really is a lovely place with everything a person could need! And the folks nearby really are kind, sweet people. If you stay here, be sure to give my sister a wave.

We have stayed in La Bonita twice now and have loved the small town vibes! Great place with great local people.

The second time we’ve stayed at David’s place. We loved it and the area. David was very friendly and recommended places to eat and grab a drink, both of which were fantastic! We would absolutely stay again.

As shown in the photos, there is a staircase with many steps outside that you have to take to reach the apartment. Once, there, you are in comfortable, spacious place that has most everything you'll need. The bed is quite comfortable and Sue provided 2 lovely quilts and a blanket, which were appreciated. The bathroom is huge (the size of a bedroom!) and has a washer and dryer inside, with still more room to spare! It was great having access to the washer and dryer for travelers like us who had been on the road for a while. We only stayed a few nights, but were able to visit New River Gorge National Park for 2 afternoons as well as make it to the Exhibition Coal Mine Museum in Beckley and to Tamarack to do some shopping. We would gladly stay again here if we return to the area.

Amy's airbnb is in a great location. Right on the New River. I could sit on the deck and hear the falls/rapids. The kitchen was well equipped with lots of spices, coffee and tea. The wifi was excellent. Amy made sure all was comfortable. It snowed one day while I was there and early in the morning she placed ice melt on the stairs. I will go again.

Great location for adventuring in the New! Quiet, easy to find and spacious we would definitely go back. Couches were super comfy & the heated vent in the bathroom was a nice touch. We got froze out of our camping spot over the weekend and needed a last minute place to crash and Harry was so helpful and responsive.

Tracy was WONDERFUL! She's an amazing host - was always responsive and helpful! The bed was SO comfortable - I hated having to get up for work every morning. Great little duplex unit in a quiet, safe area. Had everything I needed during my stay for the week. The driveway is pretty steep, but pulling straight out before turning to head down the road kept me from scraping the bottom of the car - higher vehicles like regular sedans and larger shouldn't have an issue at all.

Words can not express how amazing my stay was. First the location of the apartment is in the cutest little town , like something out of a hallmark movie. The host left clear instructions on how to get in and even left the lights on for me because arrived late at night. When I opened the door to the place it not only looked like the photos but even better in person! The place was clean, had all the amenities one would need for a stay and it was cozy, modern and I felt right at home. Even when I had to extend my stay the host was helpful and responded with a timely manner with the updated pricing, Pamela was also responsive and such a kind person to have as a host. I would definitely recommend this stay for future guest!

Location Location Location. We were really looking for a ski in ski out place as we were supposed to have quite a bit of snow while we there. Ended up getting about 10" so no matter what the roads were like we had enough food from the local store for a few days. but to my surprise they kept the fairly steep entry drive plowed and clear the whole time. the room was great and as to be expected. it wasn't that cold while we there but the newer mini split heat pump did a great job keeping us warm. I was already told by 13 year that we are definitely coming back here. she had an absolute blast. Thanks again for everything and we will be back again for sure hopefully this year.

8 of us stayed in Condo D203 for our annual ski trip. The location of this condo is very convenient as one of the slopes is located a few steps away, which is great for stopping in to grab a bite to eat or take a break without taking to much time away from skiing. Stephanie was very quick to respond with any questions we had during our stay. Driving to the condo and parking was also very easy even with all the snow Winterplace received this year. Our group had a great time with no complaints, we hope to return for our next annual ski trip!

Unit was as described, easy to locate, clean and comfortable. The location was excellent and offered easy access to all the places I visited. I appreciated the ability to bring my dog as well as the yard area where I could easily walk her. Overall, the space was a great choice and I would not hesitate to rent again when in the area.

David was a very nice guy. He approved our request right away and let us in. We had some truck issues upon leaving, and he was very understanding and let us stay late (THANK YOU)!

Very great stay. Rick did an excellent job communicating with us before and during our stay. Even giving a heads up on possible weather conditions that could impact the trip to the area. Everything was exactly as listed and easy to find. We would definitely stay again on our next trip to the area.
