Hut vacation rentals in New Forest District

Fiona was a great host for our little weekend in the countryside. We celebrated my partners birthday and she helped surprise them with birthday banners for our arrival! Was a great weekend and very peaceful. Thank you!

Our second family get-together in Anna & Eric’s gorgeous “garden”. The quirky accommodation options are fully equipped with anything you could possibly need and made homely and beautiful by Anna’s tasteful interior decoration. The addition of a “Pavillion” since our last visit made our evenings even better as there was plenty of room for our group of 15 to play games late into the night, after a day of tennis, tug-of-war, trampolining, bbq, chilling in the hot tub nestled in greenery while watching their peacock stroll back and forth…

We had a lovely stay at Mike’s cottage in Corfe Castle - the location is charming and the cottage itself is delightful, clean and cosy. It is well equipped, in spite of the compact size, and Mike was a helpful and responsive host with our queries. A tip for anyone also interested in the shepherd’s hut - maybe check first with the host if it is available, as in practice this would need a separate booking.

What a great find! We absolutely fell in love with the place the moment we step in. Had a great 4-night stay during half term and the kids had such a great time with all the games here and just a step away from the forest. The place is super cozy, well decorated, spotlessly clean and the host was super friendly, responsive and helpful. Really thinking about booking here again next year! Thank you Paul !!!

Me and five friends spend New Year’s Eve at Fiona’s huts and we had the most amazing time. The place is even better than what you see in the pictures. It’s cozy, comfortable and well equipped. Fiona has been a completely star, helping us with transport and more. Hopefully we will come back!

This shepherds hut was a great place to stay while walking the South Downs Way. It was very clean, comfortable and warm and has its own bathroom facilities in a separate building. Pauline made me welcome and made sure I had everything I needed. I was very comfortable and had a great nights sleep. I'd definitely book to stay here again next time I am in the area.

Me and my partner Ľubko stayed for 5 days over the February half term. We definitely would have stayed longer if I didn't have work at the weekend, it was so lovely! Our host Sibylle was very kind and attentive and has an adorable dog 😊. We would definitely recommend the sauna and hot tub to guests staying! All in all it was such a cosy valentine's trip away, we loved the space & the little wood fire is very effective! p.s. our favourite feature is the bird sounds in the bathroom :).

Had the most fantastic 5 days away from everything, the hut and surroundings were just stunning, I have never slept so well, the mattress was incredible, the hut was finished to a very high standard. The local pubs were lovely and did amazing food, lots of little villages to visit and lovely walks to go on. John the host is the loveliest man and nothing is too much trouble, he really made it for us, we will definitely return, cant recommend highly enough.

This shepherds hut must be the best in the South West! Lou is a fab host, so friendly and accommodating. The hut itself is even more stunning than the pictures - it has been so cleverly designed and decorated. It felt like a really luxury stay, with dressing gowns, lovely quality bedding and overall great facilities. The hot tub is glorious, with the candles and lights making it even prettier. The surrounding area is very picturesque and we would definitely return. Thank you Lou!

We had a great time at the hut on the heath! It was the peaceful getaway we were looking for, with the adding bonus of seeing all the Friendly deer. Was in a convenient location to explore the local area and I’d highly recommend visiting blue pool. Claire and Tristan were great hosts. Would love to come back and stay again

Absolutely stunning location. The hut was perfect, clean and tidy with everything you could need. The surroundings were lovely, the area quiet and only a short distance to Swanage Jefferson and Kevin were helpful and responsive.

Where to start!! Jayne was an amazing host. From the moment you arrive at the blue hut, to leaving. You felt completely relaxed and happy. Jayne had left some bubbles, marshmallows and biscuits to make s’mores which was 10/10. My boyfriend and I loved the stay! All the amenities you could ask for from the hot tub to the bbq, farm shop down the road and the amazing views. The bed was so comfortable and the shower/ bathroom was spotless! We would both really recommend Jayne and the stay at the blue hut! Thank you Jayne!

Angela’s place is lovely and peaceful place to stay. Great communication from the host leading up to and throughout our stay. The local village has nice pubs for meals out in the evening and supermarkets not too far away if you wanted to cook and relax in the log fire hot tub. Stourhead is a must see for the fantastic gardens.

The stay was absolutely amazing, lots of places to explore around and Judith was very friendly, we will be coming again 😊

This Shephards Hut is great for a quite break away and escape to the countryside. Location-wise the hut is easy to find and access and there are plenty of things to see and do nearby. Sue was great at communicating and was on hand to help if we needed (which we didn’t). Would definitely recommend a stay here.

We had a lovely 1 night stay in Woody. Jackie met us on arrival and couldn't have been more informative, helping us with how to use the appliances etc. It is a perfect place for a rest away from the city and such a cosy stay, with beautiful views. We would come back here in a heartbeat! Thank you.

Great spot for a few days away with my daughters. The space was exactly as described and worked well for us. Felt really private tucked away behind hedges. Having the hot tub too was a real winner for us. It took a little time to warm up (but it is still winter!) but easy to use and much enjoyed.

Lovely Shepards Hut perfect for a weekend away - the hut was spotless and cosy with all you could need for a short stay. The hot tub is in a great spot to watch a winter sunset and do a little star gazing. The hut backs straight onto footpaths which lead to the devils punchbowl meaning no need to drive to start your hike. Teresa was a great host and very helpful during our stay, thank you very much!

This is an idyllic spot and having goats and sheep wandering around was an unexpected bonus. The bed was comfy, the kitchen area functional, the shower nice and hot, and the hot tub amazing. All in all we had a fabulous time and really enjoyed our stay. It is in a very secluded rural location but within easy reach of Bridport and the Dorset coast.

Amazing space, great host. Waking up to horses out the window is such a plesure. Took our labradors with us, the walks in the area are lovley. We stayed for Valantines day, Sally was even kind enough to get us a little valantines game and a Rose qas put in the hut for us. Private garden, all fenced off was the cherry on the cake!
