Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Nevada County

Amazing place! Booked this house for a Palisades trip. Although the weather did not allow us to ride the mountain at all, my group and I still had a nice weekend getaway. Clean and spacious rooms. All the amenities you could ever need. Will definitely be booking this place for our next Palisades trip.

We booked with Julia & Craig very last-minute and later in the day when weather conditions prevented us from reaching our initial rental in Truckee. They were highly-accommodating, very responsive, and in less than an hour of booking we were getting settled in at their rental. The house itself was beautiful and well-maintained, and much nicer than what we were expecting to get for a day-of booking. Check-in was seamless and their instructions were clear and comprehensive. We will definitely be booking with Jule Vacation Rentals again if we're ever in the area. Thanks Julia & Craig!

This place is great for what it is…a 100+ year old cabin. It’s well maintained and quaint, in a great neighborhood and location, and very comfortable. The heating is a central wall unit, which was more than adequate for heating the entire space. The electric fireplace helps too and is a nice addition. The unit isn’t large but the space is well used and very comfortable for our family of four. My kids loved playing in the snow in the front and side yards. The rental agency was very helpful and sent us lots of great info leading up to the rental. We would stay here again.

Stayed for a weekend getaway in the mountains. This property did not disappoint, the backyard area is lovely and we spent plenty of time on the back deck enjoying the birds and quiet of the forest.

The eclipse house worked perfectly for our family of 6 (adults) and our dogs. The house felt roomy yet cozy. Loved the mid century feel to the living room with gas fireplace and record player. The sun coming through all the windows in the morning was delightful. If you are someone who likes to pull shades at night , there aren’t any in the living room & kitchen area but that didn’t bother us. The passcode entry door worked perfectly everytime and I can’t say that that about most Airbnbs. We celebrated Christmas here and made Christmas cookies. There was no handmixer but Target was only 15 minutes away. It was crazy to feel like you were deep in the woods but everything was so close. We had dinner at amazing restaurants and experienced both Grass Valley and Nevada City including the Cornish Christmas and Victorian Christmas celebrations. We felt like we were in a hallmark movie!

Great stay. Everything was cozy, located only about 20 minutes from Alpine Meadows / Palisades. Kitty was communicative throughout and there were no issues.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming old home in Grass Valley. The location was fantastic, with beautiful views of the surroundings and an easy walk to downtown. The house had a cozy atmosphere that made us feel right at home. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Grass Valley who wants to be close to all the local attractions.

We really enjoyed our stay in Tahoe City. Our accommodations felt like a home away from home, so we were able to enjoy some family time away. It felt safe and secure. The kids found the games late during our stay, and want to come back to enjoy them and the home.

Our family of four recently enjoyed a fantastic ski vacation in this excellent Northstar condo. Its ski-in/ski-out access was incredibly convenient, allowing us to make the most of our time on the slopes. Despite being located right in the heart of the village, the condo felt surprisingly quiet and private, providing a peaceful retreat after a day of skiing. The condo was exceptionally well-appointed, with all the amenities we could have wanted. We especially appreciated the heated garage, which kept our car warm and ready to go after a day on the mountain. The host was incredibly communicative and made the check-in process effortless. We highly recommend this condo to families seeking a comfortable and convenient base for their Northstar adventures.

Great place right in Northstar village. Key for walking with small kids to lifts. It was perfect for me and the two kids. It is a partially open loft to the two sleeping quarters above. If u are planning on having adult time downstairs after kids go to bed you will need a noisemaker for the kids. Wasn’t an issue for me but I can imagine that scenario. Nice clean and well stocked kitchen. Would definitely stay here again thank you Elizabeth for sharing your home! Debbie

Peggy's place was a charming getaway. The garden area was beautiful and it was extremely relaxing under the stars in the hot tub at night. The town itself is beautiful and looks like a fairytale suspended in time. Peggy was a great host and we had a wonderful stay. Would definitely stay again!

Amy and Geoffrey’s place was the perfect winter weekend getaway for my partner and me! It was lovely waking up to the sunshine pouring into the apartment in the morning and cozying up to the fireplace at night. The jacuzzi was perfect for relaxing after a long day of snowboarding. Amy and Geoff were also very communicative and friendly hosts. We would absolutely stay again!

Daniel was an amazing host and our stay at his property was equally pleasant. The house was cozy, clean, and very well prepared for our stay. The kitchen had all the necessities we needed to cook meals, and all the beds came with comfy blankets and soft pillows. The living room was large, warm, and welcoming, great for spending time with friends. Daniel himself was super responsive and went above and beyond. We had lost our keys during this trip and thought we would be stuck since there aren’t any ubers/taxis around, but Daniel graciously offered to drive us anywhere we needed. Without his generosity and kindness, our trip would have been much less enjoyable.

Absolutely loved it. Location along the lake was special. Walkable/ very runnable area. Very clean and cozy little spot and felt very private.

Stayed here with a group of friends - lots of beds so we each got our own, which is rare. The house was well stocked - kitchen, towels, etc. We enjoyed using the indoor/grotto hot tub. Cute shops & restaurants in the area (15-20ish mins). Thanks for a great stay!

We had a great stay. We had Thanksgiving at the house, and it easily accommodated those of us staying at the house, and a few extra. We were able to walk to cornish Christmas. (Downtown) This is a great centralized place to rent.

We loved the Hart House, it is a beautiful ranch-style cabin and it was the perfect getaway. The cabin has such a cozy, rustic charm, and the decor really enhances the relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The surrounding landscape is stunning, adding to the sense of peace and tranquility. Our host, Ben, was on it- was incredibly responsive and made sure we had everything we needed for a smooth, enjoyable stay. A truly special place—I highly recommend it!

Our stay at Hollie's was awesome! The property is beautiful and so peaceful. We had fun fishing in the pond with our grandkids. The house is very nice. The view from the master bedroom is amazing actually the view from all the windows is beautiful. The bed was super comfortable. We loved gathering on the deck in the evening and the hot tub was very relaxing. Rob and Hollie are great hosts, they went out of there way to be very accommodating. The only downside was we couldn't stay longer. I would highly recommend Hollie's place.

We planned for a easy, peaceful New Years trip and that's exactly what we got. The location is beautiful and tranquil. I also really appreciate how attentive and helpful the host was. We took their recommendation for a location that was close and easy for a snow day! Loved it all. Thank you for sharing the place! Hope to come again in the summer.

Very charming cabin, spacious very clean. We loved the feeling of being in the woods but only a couple minutes from the lake and all the towns attractions. Would definitely recommend & would definitely stay again.

Our organization recently held our semi-annual retreat at Clayton’s Place in Glass Valley, and we couldn’t be more thankful for the serene environment and incredible accommodations. Every single one of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. While it’s worth noting that there are only two showers available, the overall experience far outweighed this minor detail. The property is a gem, featuring amazing amenities such as a hot tub, pool, barbeque, and a variety of games thoughtfully provided by Clayton. The karaoke machine was a hit, and the private property’s peacefulness made it easy for us to connect as a group. The easy access to hiking trails and nature further enriched our experience. Clayton’s Place was perfect for our needs and offered the ideal balance of comfort, fun, and tranquility. We wholeheartedly agree that this is one of the best options for group getaways, and we look forward to staying here again!
