This was among the very best experiences on Airbnb. The location and property are fantastic! The accommodation is thoughtfully managed, you'll be missing nothing, and it is beautifully furnished and decorated. Maud is a standout host! There should be an award! Her local guide book was so valuable to us for our whole trip, she's responsive and helpful, and breakfast, as well as a dinner and wine or order we made, were so much appreciated - and delicious! Grass roof restaurant, 5 minutes away, is a great spot for lunch. Addo Elephant Park gate is about 40 minutes away.

We had an awesome time at Karens & Francois place. We've got an extremely warm welcome, found everything we needed within the spacious apartment and were just around the corner for Addo Elefant Park. We will definitely come back when were in the area again! thanks!

Private Trendy Cottage in Prime Suburb

A charming cottage with carport set well back from a busy road behind two gates. Very secure and private behind the main house and high walls. Well appointed and loads of thoughtful touches. Lots of birds in the trees surrounding and over the unit but no garden per se to sit in. Great braai too. Each room is on a different level with a small step up or down. The hosts were amazing and very kind and generous.

If you are looking for a place, private for you and your partner, please don’t look further. I have stayed in several AirBnb in PE, but this one tops it all. Kirsty is a lovely host, friendly, and ensures that you are well taken care of. My partner kept complimenting the place every now and then. It’s a peaceful place, walking distance to the shopping mall, which has everything you need including restaurants that closes very late. You’d never regret going there. Oh and the garden, it’s like you are in the garden of Eden. 😅

The place is easy to find and the premises are well maintained, clean and very modern. Check-in and communication with the host went smoothly. Also, early check-out was not a problem. I would definitely recommend the place. Beautiful outdoor facilities with pool and loungers. Towels for the loungers are also available. I can't say anything negative about this place and the host.

We couldn't imagine a better start to our vacation! The apartment is very nice and looks like on the pictures. You will find all what you need and Clarise was all the time helpful and answering fast. I can recommend the apartment at any time.

Mill Park Escape

We were a family of 9 adults in Port Elizabeth for our daughter’s graduation. We contemplated various homes for a month until we eventually found Madelyn’s place Milpark Escape. We were so glad we chose it. Came at a very good rate and the house was impeccable. Everything you need is there. We didn’t even want to go out because the house was too nice. Pool, braai, spacious, plenty of seating inside and outside. Highly recommended.

the house and grounds are absolutely stunning and the photos don't do it justice. we have had a wonderful stay and the house has everything you need. we lit the fire on an evening and used the braai facilities. it's really safe neighborhood and we had lots to do on our doorstep. Edith and David were great in answering any questions and keeping the house and gardens looking beautiful I would definitely recommend this property

Loved the Serenity, Peace and Natured setting of this well designed and perfectly organised space. Was wonderful waking up to the sounds of the birds singing, and the outside greenery backdrop that seemed to spill into the house through the glass doors.. Would definitely recommend it if you need a pause and reset.

Our stay at Tjelke and Karl was very nice, they are so welcoming and made us feel welcomed and at gome. They went out of their way from the first day that we arrived untill the last day. They allowed us to make use of the swimming pool. Thank you for a wonderfull time that we spend with you.

One day Elmarie will be able to take down the electric fence and the burglar bars. When that day comes, this will be a fabulous destination for any traveller. Until then... well, do your research and be prepared! In normal circumstances PE would be a very pretty town and Elmarie's house would be perfectly situated in one of the prettiest parts of it. As it is, if you're coming to Gqberha (PE) at all, well, you probably have an idea about how things are here. So, with sociopolitical caveats attached, none of which are within Elmarie's power to change, I recommend staying at Elmarie's! At least it's as safe as Fort Knox in the house, there's a lovely sun-lounger area and pool, and the views are stunning. Good luck South Africa, I hope things get better and the wait won't be too long.

We spend a week in January at Loft on Honey and it was truly wonderful. This is a beautiful property, safe & secure, with the world’s best shower, large rooms and spaces, plenty of hanging and packing space, amenities and outdoor area. Two large bathrooms, could sleep 6 and plenty seating to sit, read, be lazy or on the great free wi-fi. The decor and furnishing were just fabulous. It was private, in a very good suburb, walking distance to shops, restaurants, pub and short drive to tourist attractions. Space for up to 3 small vehicles kept securely behind remote gate. We sat around fire pit, had a BBQ and played board games. Kitchen was great and everything you would need including an Airfryer, clean oven and large fridge. Shops close by to buy supplies. Plenty linen, towels, toiletries and cleaning products. Would we recommend? Absolutely and hope to be back! Thank you Tracey and family.

A wonderful spot for everybody who is able to enjoy nature, birdsongs & wind melodies ;-) That's it. The comfortable country house offers perfect equipment for everybody who does not need a restaurant or bar every evening. Enjoy a peaceful sunset with a gin tonic and a book on the veranda while lightening the BBQ. Just perfect. As special highlight is the bath tube outside on the veranda for everybody who loves a relaxing bath in a tube with beautiful view into nature. Mario is the perfect host - if you need him he is always there - if you do not need him he respects your privacy at any time. We spent 7 weeks in this paradise and I am really missing the generous view & the 'silence of nature' ;-)

Grass Roof Hideaway was a superb little find. Clean and had everything we needed for our short stay. Sadly we didn’t get to make use of all the facilities like the outdoor fireplace and hot tub which was available. It was very convenient being over the road from the restaurant where we enjoyed their breakfasts. Thanks for the lovely stay, we will definitely recommend it to friends!

Tamlyn has a beautiful home close to Sardania beach, the kids really enjoyed the game room and pool. Adults kept themself entertianed under the lapa and firepit. Will definitely visit again.

We had an incredible stay at 3 Doors down! From the moment we arrived, everything was just perfect. The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The beds were cozy, the kitchen was big and spacious and the outdoor space was amazing with a built in BBQ and a great size swimming pool. The location was ideal—close to shops and restaurants, while still being peaceful and private. Our host, Paul, was fantastic—responsive, friendly, and provided great recommendations for things to do in the area. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway!

Lying in bed with an open sliding door, fresh sea breeze blowing in from the ocean, watching the waves break on the rocky pebble beach below, waiting for the dolphins to swim by in their daily routine. What an incredible view. 16 Beach music is the perfect romantic getaway. Robbie is an incredible host making sure that you have every comfort. Perfectly situated far enough outside the city to be quiet and quaint, yet still close enough should the need arise for you to do some shopping.
