We truly enjoyed our stay – it was a lovely staycation with my sister in celebration of our birthday month. At night, we loved gazing at the stars by the cozy campfire. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, just what we needed. The team was fantastic and very helpful with all the information we needed. Thank you so much to our wonderful host!

This place is so beautiful it is actually hard to describe! it is truly a dream house! absolutely worth every single penny prefect for big families or groups. warning! you will want to stay more then one night! we only stayed one night and we were gutted when we had to leave. we went to ol pajeto, but this place really deserves a day or two where you can enjoy it together as a group or family. it is so so beautiful. and Maureen is super friendly, caring and a wonderful host.

Chose this amazing place to rest after hiking mount kenya and could not have wished for better! Super peaceful with a beautiful view - photos don’t do it justice. Margaret the housekeeper gave us the warmest welcome and was so helpful during our stay, and cannot recommend George the chef more!! Delicious food and he went above and beyond in providing for us. Wish we could have stayed longer!!

Really nice house and very welcoming. We all liked it a lot, kids and adults. It is just outside of Nanyuki but very easy to find. There are few nice places in close vicinity including two lovely and really good restaurants. Susan’s house was very neat and clean and we had fantastic and peaceful time there. We had the best sleep ever! Jonathan and George are caretakers in the house and will assist you with anything you need. Very helpful. We will definitely be back.

Our stay at this Airbnb was truly exceptional! From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect. The place was not only beautiful but also spotlessly clean and thoughtfully designed, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with all the amenities we could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The host was amazing—friendly, attentive, and always quick to respond to any questions we had. Their hospitality made a huge difference, and we truly appreciated the effort they put into ensuring we had a great experience. The location was also fantastic, offering a peaceful and enjoyable environment while still being conveniently close to everything we needed. Kananu and her team were so helpful. The setting is quite beautiful, off the beaten track and the perfect place to unwind amongst nature. Lizards greeted us in the mornings and when the ants were a bit too keen to join us Kananu was quick to respond. A fire in the evenings and the sound of nature to lull you to sleep in comfortable beds, what more could you ask for. Thank you Kananu, Sara and Raphael for making our stay something we will treasure.

Elizabeth’s place was AMAZING! The place is much better than the photos. Extremely clean, safe and very well taken care of. You have a fully equipped kitchen with everything you need to be ready to cook. Also in this place is where l had the best hot shower so far. I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to stop at Nanyuki and visit mount Kenya & Ngare Ndare Forest. 100% recommend 💚

It was a pleasure spending four nights here. The accommodation is a bit out of the way, but thanks to the good directions, it was easy to find. Thanks to the quiet location and, above all, thanks to Onyango, who takes care of everything, it was very relaxing. Onyango was very accommodating; he and the guys brought firewood and constantly asked if everything was okay. It couldn't be better!

We loved the tranquility at the cottage, exactly what we needed to begin the new year. The fact that we had the unit to ourselves was amazing, perfect for couples. We got raw cow milk daily for free & even green vegetables when we requested. There was everything we needed & more, loved the home made chili offered. Catherine the help was too kind & always available to help, she’s a gem. We shall definitely be back especially because there was great Starlink Wifi! Only thing is, don’t expect calls on Safaricom or Airtel networks so it’s great when you don’t need to be on call 😀 Cheers to a great start of the year Dion 😇🙏🏽🤓 Tip; it’s near Solio conservancy, take the turn at the PCEA Nanyuki church signage, drive 2.7kms & you won’t miss it ☺️

Highly recommend staying at Solio Gardens. House was lovely and spacious and beautifully clean. Beds were comfy and showers hot! Our children enjoyed the pool table and space in the garden to play football. We were a party of 11 and self catered. Kitchen was basic but fine to cook simple meals. We were confused by the location of the property as the map is inaccurate but Alex explained exact location (near the airstrip in Nanyuki) before we set off. We went to Ol Peteja Conservancy (a 45 minute drive away) which was awesome as you see so many animals. Would stay here again.

8days of an amazing Christmas and new year. koki was responsive and helpful during our stay. There was horse riding, cycling, bird watching and a view of the beautiful mount kenya among many more activities. She also organised for a chef which really made our stay better. It was definitely an amazing experience.

Skip all the hotels and lodges in this area and stay here. It's a perfect home away from home. The gardens are a perfect place to relax and watch the sunset. The kids have enough grounds equipped with safe play sets. The home is well secured. There's adequate trees that add to the quality of air and serenity. If you are a fun of animals you will be well pleased here. We stayed a family of 8 adults and 7 kids and there was adequate room for us all. The bat is well equipped for that refreshing evening drink. Great music selection with perfect sound to cheer up your spirits. I doubt we would have the kind of experience we had here in any other place. Plus places like Nanyuki are literally 30 mins drive away and so much to do in the area if you have to live. The only downside is we couldn't stay longer or forever! Oh, and I can't forget to mention the excellent service offered by everyone from the owner to the workers. Also one of our cars needed a Jumpstart and Mr Turunga was gracious.

The place is amazing. The interior is well done and the neighbourhood is quite peaceful. The place is very easily accessible with a tarmac road all the way and felt very secure . I honestly don't have anything negative to say about the place. it ticked all boxes and already planning my next trip back.

Robin's place is the place to be. We were two couples and our children. It was raining but were able to access the house without any problem with ordinary cars. The house is simple and smart, warm and well done, very very clean. All the facilities listed are available. Our children enjoyed the pool table. Robin was very responsive and kept checking on us. The caretaker Mr. Wachira was a great man. He is humble, good listener, obedient, and could offer alternatives. He sourced for us a huge chicken on short notice which we enjoyed. It was chilly outside but the house was very warm plus is had a room heater that made it even more warm. Robin also guided us on the areas to visit and he further linked us with his friend at Olpajeta who was of great assistance to us especially with the rainy weather and impassable roads to the conservancy. "Going out to Nanyuki???,,,,Robin's place is the place to be"

Dorcas was an amazing host very responsive and friendly. She made us feel at home. Her staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They were also very good with our kids who had a wonderful time feeding the animals there. The place is serene, quiet, spacious house and very clean. Nice outdoor space to sit during the day and at night they put a fire for us. I would recommend the place to anyone. Thank you Dorcas for the memorable stay.

The Besotted Cottage @ Mount Kenya Farm

Wizzy and John’s cabin was fantastic! We traveled with kids (10, 7, and 3), and they had plenty to keep them entertained within the compound, especially with the stables right next to the A-frame cabin. We also enjoyed a walk to the Mau Mau cave with Simon, the guide, who was incredible. Wizzy was a wonderful host—kind, responsive, and quick to address a minor issue with hot water and power, which was resolved . Overall, we had a great experience, and my kids even rated it their second favorite holiday! I’d definitely return.

The Landing is an exquisite haven of tranquility and privacy. The photos simply cannot capture its true beauty. From the cottage, you’re treated to stunning views of Mt. Kenya, creating a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The place was clean and thoughtfully prepared for our stay. I enjoyed a truly wonderful weekend and will definetly return. Anne was incredibly responsive and accommodating, addressing all our needs seamlessly. The staff was also exceptionally helpful, ensuring that every request was met. I cannot say enough good things about Elizabeth’s place. She was communicative from the get go and provided multiple recommendations to assist with hiking trips. The lodging and property were picturesque, comfortable, and serene. We were able to explore the Mt Kenya forest directly from the property. Caretakers Faith and Mwenda were the most welcoming and kind. My only caution is, while an easy drive to Nanyuki town, it is far to walk and finding a ride can take planning ahead (though Faith is also helpful in a pinch!). Overall we had a lovely trip and would love to stay there again in the future!

Absolutely a beautiful place close to the Kenya Aberdare National Park. The staff and property is perfect for camp like housing in the bush. If you want a bit more inclusive, they do have a 3 bedroom new hotel on the property with a pool. The property offers 3 other bungalows giving you the experience of the bush. Everything was secure, any amenities required outside the property, the staff obliged to get and they had laundry service in Site that was great after the safari outing!
