10 minutes walk from jr Nijo Station, surrounded by many buses to various attractions in Kyoto are very convenient, the environment is very residents, there are many convenient small supermarkets around!The host is very friendly and provides a lot of convenient information! Great experience

We really enjoyed our stay at Kiyomi’s place. It’s located very close to Kyoto Station, convenience stores, bus stops and also Aeon mall. The house was pristine clean and felt so homey. We will definitely recommend Kiyomi’s place to our friends!

We stayed at Shino’s place for 6 nights ， Excellent place and wonderful host! Central to everything around. Walking distance to the train station, in a quite neighborhood. The most comfortable tatami I have slept on!!!:) Shino and あおい is very responsive to our questions and showed great hospitality! Will definitely choose this place if I go to Kyoto travel again !

We stayed three weeks in Hiroe's house and it was wonderful. Hiroe is a fantastic host. I have been visiting Kyoto for forty years, staying in various places but this was the best. I hope to be able to return in the future and I highly recommend Hiroe's house, a very quiet place not far from public transport and the supermarket. Thanks Hiroe!

I love the machiya, it was great, I stayed with my parents for three nights, they all said it felt very homey, three nights was not enough at all, and I wanted to experience the quaintness of Machiya again. In terms of transportation, I think Kyoto is better suited for buses, and one stop of Machiya and 206 is close, which is more convenient than the subway.It was more than ten o'clock in the evening to arrive, a little difficult to find😁 because the laneway is too narrow, but just follow the google map. Next door is the Heian Shrine, and the night before we left and the snow storm the day we left, we went to Heian Shrine.Kyoto, you won't get tired of a week, and you'll have a great experience of Machiya next time.

Kimi and Marilyn were very friendly, helpful and responsive hosts. Their place was just as advertised. They kept it really clean and the house was very complete. It was in a great location as it is easily accessible by bus, train and only a 20 minutes walk to Kiyomizudera. There were also plenty of restaurants close by. Kimi and Marilyn were really nice to come and meet us on our last day to check in with us. We are a big group of 9 and are very happy to recommend this place to future travellers.

Great location, so close to the Kyoto Station. Lots of restaurants around and within walking distance to a big shopping centre. Fantastic accommodation, would stay here again!!!

Conveniently located near Kyoto Station. Near restaurants and other tourist spot areas. The place is comfortable to stay. We feel right at home. Amenities are complete. Place is comfortably heated on cold days of stay. Host is easy to communicate and responds well. Will definitely choose this again when we get back to Kyoto.

This was a lovely stay! Tats was super responsive and even offered an early check in as my train arrived early. The electric bike was the plus for me, it made exploring Kyoto over 2 days possible!

We had a lovely stay at this apartment. It was spacious yet cosy, got plenty of light, had a nice street view, was tastefully furnished and fully equiped (we didn’t cool but the kitchen appeared to be well equipped), and spotlessly clean. It was also very convenient to shops, restaurants and public transport, and was a refreshing break from hotel stays. May was very helpful and welcoming (she was even waiting for us on the street when we arrived!).

Nice traditional Japanese apartment with kitchen and bath in a quiet residential neighborhood. Quite close to Kyoto University (walking/biking distance). I had a comfortable stay for a week. The hosts Asami and Daniel are outstanding! They went out of their way to help me with everything. Will definitely consider staying here again.

A beautiful small Airbnb with all amenities in one of the best neighbourhoods. Lots of small eateries which serve delicious food and Nishidai market, Gion etc is at walking distance. Perfect place.

The apartment had everything you needed, it was very clean and in a quiet area, very close to the subway station. They always responded very quickly. I definitely recommend it.

A great, warm, spacious place to stay that is walking distance to train station and Nishiki market. May and Yoshi were extremely helpful with welcoming us, providing recommendations and helping us with any questions answered. Thank you May and Yoshi!

Overall my stay at this airbnb was great, not too far from the bus stop, about 5-8 mins of walking. Most importantly a 7/11 at the corner of the block. Also a 8-10 minute walk to the store strip such as disney, apple, uniqlo, nike ect. The host did provide towels and wifi which is great. You have access to an elevator so no need to carry your luggage up the stairs.

Izumi was a wonderful host . He always responded quickly to my emails and had great suggestions for things to do in Kyoto. My first night there he took me on a tour of the neighborhood and pointed out land marks like the sakagura. Later we did a bicycle tour of Kyoto together visiting shrines like Tofukuji and Sanjusangendo. The staff at the restaurant next to the airbnb were also very helpful and considerate. Izumi made my 3 month stay in Kyoto a memorable one and I hope to keep in contact with him in the event of my return to Japan.

We stayed with 7 people.It was spacious and relaxing like a home, and my elderly parents were satisfied.There was no trouble with the large dining room with all the dishes in the kitchen.It was also close to Kawaramachi, and we were able to drive, but it was a convenient place to park!

Great location. Lots of space. Good communication, very responsive. Bath was nice, and view out of the windows was a nice feature. Sometimes we could hear the noise late at night from the bar across the hall, but it wasn’t too bad. Definitely recommend.

Pretty close to the central street with lots of shops and cafes. Just 20 minutes walk to Gion and Kyoto station. The apt is clean and has everything we needed. Air conditioner worked perfect and it was really warm for january. Host is very nice and friendly, thank you!

We truly had an incredible time in Kyoto, and it brought us so much joy knowing we had a lovely place to return to after exploring the city. That was Seth’s place. Seth was wonderfully helpful and always quick to respond, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The accommodations were simply superb, offering an authentic Ryokan experience that we cherished. The location couldn't be better—just a short and pleasant walk to Sannenzaka, Ninnenzaka, and Kiyomizu-dera. We wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a memorable stay in Kyoto!

this place was a great location - 4 min walk to the nearest local station & 2 stops from kyoto station. cool to stay in this house and we loved how many rooms there were. would definitely stay again!
