Farmstay vacation rentals in Murray River

My family had a wonderful stay at The Barn. Alison and Ross are lovely hosts and very helpful with clear instructions. The property is great and comfortable for about 7-8 people with all bedrooms on level 1 (upstairs) and 2 bathrooms downstairs. Great size indoor living and outdoor bbq area, including a fire pit for cool evenings, and the paddocks surrounding the property have some friendly rams. You also get to see heaps of kangaroos in the morning and around sunset. Clean and comfortable property and I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Healesville. Only thing missing were some extra bathroom amenities (toilettries) proportionate to 7-8 people staying but I’m sure if you request Alison and Ross they will ensure to make it available for your stay! We found the cottage to be an excellent location, very peaceful with lots of birds and wildlife nearby. It is the perfect place to relax as a family and in the region there are so many things to do and see only within a short distance away. I highly recommend this airbnb.

Really enjoyed our stay and the house had everything we needed, really love the barbecue on the decking with the bar overlooking the mountains, enjoyed feeding the cows and it just had that comfortable country stay. We will definitely be returned visitors . Thanks Lucy for the note.

We had a gorgeous stay at Lavender Farm. Such a beautiful location to spend a few days, relax and enjoy the views. The breakfast provisions and walnut cake were so thoughtful and delicious. We would recommend a weekend away at Lavender Farm to everyone. Thank you for being such wonderful hosts!

Rebecca was a great host. Didn't try to hassle us but was always there if we had a question. Lovely peaceful stay and having the whole cottage never felt cramped. Basic but clean with everything that is needed. Have to be careful at the moment of their water situation as they have had no rain and they rely on tanks. Just a heads up. You can even adopt their two dogs while you are there. Mya and Jarrah kept an eye on things the whole time we were there. They were great. Would recommend this down to earth stay on a farm to anyone, especially with kids.

Thanks for having us! We had such a wonderful time! The place is well-furnished, cozy, and equipped with everything we needed. Our toddler had an amazing time exploring the farm, interacting with the animals, picking fresh strawberries and veg, and enjoying fresh eggs for breakfast. It was such a lovely getaway and farm experience for our family including our dog. :) We would highly recommend!

we enjoyed our time there. it was quiet, fresh air, spend quality time together without anyone being on there phone or internet, it was great. went for a walk and my partner and little one went for a swim in the river near the property and enjoyed it.

place was great and had everything we needed at a reasonable price. The kids loved the farm animals and were kept entertained throughout our stay. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place in the outskirts of Melbourne

My friend and I had a great time at Sheridan’s place. For the price it could not be beat. We had everything we needed and when one of us got ill from a takeaway, Sheridan was very helpful and accommodating with anything extra that we needed such as loo roll. The cats, dogs and sheep were the highlight of our stay. Once Sheridan knew we were happy to play with the animals she let them out to play and it made our stay that much more enjoyable. Would go back in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay, was the perfect place to explore the Yarra valley from. Stephen was such a wonderful host and the place had all we could need Thankyou for having us.

Lovely cabin with lots of animals and land to explore! Definitely suited for animal lovers! Place was comfy, the only downside was that our Netflix and wifi didn’t work at all. But that was fine considering we only stayed one night!

We had a great stay at Glenbosch. The property is beautifully appointed with a fab hot tub. The location is amazing, just outside historic Beechworth. Nika was an excellent host, with lots of information on local walks and cafes, and very responsive to any question we had.

Samantha was an amazing and flexible host. She communicated with us very quickly and even drove us to the wedding we were attending when our taxi didn’t arrive! The cottage was beautiful and very clean. We loved it. Thank you Samantha and Geoff :)

This charming and quaint little cottage is set in amongst the heart of Tanunda. Picturesque landscapes with abundance of local restaurants, wine cellars and cafes only a stones throw away. The beautiful cottage has maintained its historical charm, decked out with classique antique furnishings keeping to its 18th century theme. When you step outside into the peaceful garden whilst enjoying your morning cuppa or afternoon glass of vino you are greeted by the properties friendly alpacas and sheep at the properties back fence. The owners are full of local knowledge and helpful advice which makes navigating the Barossa Valley a lot easier when it’s your first time visiting. Highly recommend this accommodation and location especially for those are wine enthusiasts and appreciate a little bit of early settler history.

The Barn was the perfect base for our wedding weekend - a serene, beautiful oasis. I loved getting ready here with my girls before the wedding, and enjoying a few days unwinding with my partner amongst the peaceful surrounds. Ellie was an excellent host - the place is perfectly appointed, with lots of generous touches that made us feel right at home. We can’t wait to come back for our anniversary - thanks Ellie!

We had a great getaway here. Our second time staying and it was even more enjoyable than our last stay. As a host myself I was impressed by the linens and kitchen amenities mostly. Clean and tidy property and very private stay despite the breezeway between the lodge and main house. We will be back again and the Redesdale pub down the road was delicious. Thanks for having us!

Thoroughly recommend Jenny’s place for weekend or longer in the Yarra valley. Very well positioned and beautifully appointed. A genuine stay among the vines of a working vineyard. Just lovely. Picture perfect!
