Was a great stay. Loved the area. Great jumping off point for getting around the island while being in a “country” setting.

Very peaceful, clean, and not far from volcanoes national park. It's very secluded and quiet, so we had a blast freaking out our teenagers .

very nice people. James invited us to a bonfire on the weekend we were there. lovely folks staying there we got to visit with. James was very nice. We ran out of propane during the storm and he came over right away, in the pouring rain, to remedy the situation. listening to the creatures outside all night was actually pretty soothing. a huge change from city noises!!! it was very very rainy, like super duper once in 2 years rain, thunder and lightning storm that lasted 3 days ⛈️,... despite all that the cabin was comfortable and cozy. the beds were nice with extra blankets that we never really needed. my boys and I especially liked the outdoor shower 🚿 the property was amazing and lush with an abundance of fruit trees. 🥑 🍊 Excellent location as you're only 45 minutes from Hilo or 45 minutes from Volcano 🌋 we would definitely come back and stay at another cabin on this property.

I love how the place was decorated of the Star Wars theme. My boys are huge fans of the franchise. The kids had lots of fun seeing all the decor, playing with toys, and adults played the board games. The house was very spacious for a group of 11 of us. The house is cool because the lava burned down the house next door and there are steam vents now in front and all around the property making it look like a land from Star Wars. There was A/C in the home which was great because it can get warm and humid sometimes. There was still hair in the shower in the main bedroom but I think it’s because the hosts maybe live there and it was booked last minute. The host greeted us and showed us the place quickly and they made sure we had everything we needed. The house was pricey but super cool for one night and worth it to see my boys nerd-out for one night and just be in awe with all the cool decor.

My friends and I had the best stay here! Incredibly peaceful and private setting which had us feeling rested taken care of. Instructions were clear and place was filled with character. The hosts put a ton of effort into making the experience the best it could be!

We stayed 4 days here with extended family in the smaller home on the same property and it was great. The kitchen was well stocked, there was plenty of space for our family of 5 (larger group was 10 total) to spread out. The best part was the beach across the road with good snorkeling (stronger currents so be careful) and lagoon with turtles. Plenty of outdoor gear to borrow- SUP, kayaks, small boogie boards, water shoes and snorkel/fins. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall, the booking with Joe and Cindy was phenomenal. Not only did they communicate quickly, but were also flexible to allow me and one guest to check in an hour early. The place itself was spotless, and the beds were extremely comfortable (some of the best nights of sleep iʻve had in a while.) The outdoor patio was also overlooking the pool with a hammock, one of the highlights of our stay. Definitely recommend booking a stay here if you like the experience of a hotel, minus the expensive costs. Was worth every penny.

My family and I had an amazing time. Everyone enjoyed the pool, spacious living room and outdoor lounging areas. Wayne is very communicative and welcoming and made us feel right at home. We were really lucky to have found this winner of an Airbnb and host.

We absolutely loved our stay at Sina’s place. It is an incredibly unique and beautiful property, with a well stocked kitchen and beautiful sliding doors that open up to allow lovely tropical cross breezes throughout. There are also beach chairs and snorkeling gear available for guest use, which came in handy for our visit to the nearby Carlsmith beach park. The property is perfectly situated between Volcanoes National Park to the south and excellent hikes/gardens/chocolate tour on the north side of Hilo (highly recommend the Hamakua Chocolate Farm tour). Also just a five minute walk to seaside lava cliffs where you can watch a stunning sunrise each morning. The house was truly perfect for our group of 7.

Ginger’s jungle-nestled home was spacious, cozy, and had everything we needed. She was super helpful, knowledgeable, friendly and kind, and made us feel right at home! Our only regret was that we didn’t book more days with her!!!

The hosts were super responsive and checked in to make sure we were okay with getting in and out, which we appreciated. The place was beautiful in a serene location, and would definitely recommend this place and hope to return! We loved how close the black sand beach was as well.

We had a wonderful time staying at Kristen's place in Pahoa. She was such a great host. Very quick to respond to our questions and requests, provided great local tips, and an overall great person to get to know. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home on the east side of the Big Island, either for a few days or for a longer stay. Very comfortable with a big bedroom, fully stocked kitchen, and living room. Jungle living at its finest!

Had a great time in this private and peaceful accommodation. Ashley was very friendly and responsive and provided us with privacy and easy communication. This place provides a unique and relaxing glamping style stay. It rained very hard the first night and sounded beautiful as it’s an open air room but still felt very secure and everything stayed dry. After the rain the coqui were plentiful so it may not be for everyone but I found it to be soothing and peaceful. My only recommendation is maybe to hang a mirror in the shower room or in the kitchen/bathroom area. Mahalo for a great stay!

Everything exceeded our expectations! Booking, checking in and checking out was so easy and simple! The house is gorgeous, big, spacious and so cozy and prepped with all that you could need! A break from the hustle and bustle of O’ahu was exactly what we needed. My family sure enjoyed the house to the fullest! My kids used the party lights every night, the girls got to enjoy the backyard, everyone exercised in the gym, the neighborhood was perfect for a brisk family walk and the 6 of us had so much room to occupy! The big kitchen was wonderful for our lovely family meals and the kids even had lots of space to build a big, cute fort by the front door! The luxury bathroom was fantastic and being able to use the laundry room was just great! Mahalo nui loa again Tony! Stellar job with this airbnb and we hope to come back again soon!

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hosts are kind and helpful, and the general vibe is very relaxing and welcoming. We enjoyed spending our evenings at the nearby sea cliffs.

Private, quiet, spacious and comfortable. Clean with everything you need. Amy checked in with us to ensure we were happy and provided suggestions for sightseeing. We would definitely book it again.

If you’re looking to unplug from the norm while exploring the volcanic park, then this little beautiful cocoon hits just right. Perfect for a solo or couples deluxe glamping excursion. Being a resident of Maui, staycations are frequently on the menu, especially after losing my home in the fire. Cassandra’s place is a breath of fresh air! Her guest book had excellent recommendations. Very responsive host, without being intrusive. Upon check-In, madame Pele’s eruption had calmed down, so I back tracked to the summit of Mauna Kea for evening stargazing. After the long drive back, the hot bath with ALL of the spa fixings and fresh oranges was a warm welcome home! The night time songs from wildlife and dome vibe easily puts the daily hustle of life in the rearview. Only missing equation from this gem was not having more time to enjoy it. Matt’s place was exactly as expected. It’s off the grid, so maybe not for everyone but definitely as described and what we were hoping for. Highly recommend!

Beautiful tiny home. Looked like the pictures. Great to sleep with listening to the birds etc at night. I found it peaceful.
