Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Mountain View

This place is pure magic. It feels like living in a rustic but comfortable treehouse in the jungle. We did yoga on the deck every morning and watched the sunrise over the jungle with the ocean in the distance. So peaceful. The sounds of the coqui frogs, birds, and various wildlife were simply enchanting. I really felt connected to nature here and was able to slow down. I also loved the outdoor shower and toilet. One note would be that the kitchen is often busy with the volunteers who live on the farm so while it is easy to store your food in the fridge, I felt that if I cooked a full meal, I might be a bit in the way. Everyone was good-vibed and I enjoyed every minute of my stay. Hope to return.

This was a gorgeous and relaxing space. Every detail was clearly well thought out and we had a comfortable stay. There was so much for our toddler to do, and we enjoyed the jungle sounds and stars at night. Nicole was an exceptional host. We hope we can come back again!

This location and house is absolutely fabulous. The host makes everything super clear in the instruction manual, the house is immaculate and very easy to get accustomed too. My only complaint is that I couldn’t stay longer. The hot tub was a gift from god, the beds were all comfortable, all the furniture was super cozy, we loved our stay and would 1,000% book this place again. Mahalo nui!

We had a great time in the peaceful location close to Kilauea and Volcanoes National Park. The cozy cabin was tidy and more than adequate for 2 of us. It is very chilly at night and morning, the bed was comfortable with an electric blanket. Space heaters were provided and essential. The kitchen worked well for us to enjoy simple food prep and morning coffee. We would stay again.

Our family had a wonderful stay at this cabin. We loved the connection with nature… hearing the “chirping” of the frogs at night, being surrounded by jungle. The cabin itself is very self sufficient and yet gives you the comfort and coziness you need! We absolutely loved the experience!!!

If you're looking for a quiet, secluded, "almost" off grid with the comfort of electricity and drinkable/hot running water this place is IT. Perfect for a pair of couples, a couple with a "third wheel", or parents with older kids these side-by-side cabins were an excellent way for us to stay together, but with our own separate spaces. The hot tub is large and comfy and with the outdoor covered area and t.v. made for some very relaxing evenings. The hosts went above and beyond with some great little welcoming touches - we arrived to all of the fans on, hot tub partially uncovered, a bottle of wine on the outdoor counter, and all of the t.v.s playing some relaxing hawaiin music. If you haven't been fortunate enough to meet a coqui frogs face to face yet you will definitely make friends with them here! A couple of them have a favorite spot under the lights of the outdoor shower. Be prepared for some wet and cool weather on this side of the island

Unique property you feel comfortable but in the jungle at the same time. The Jeep 4WD is a must for the road, but it will be useful around the island to go beyond the normal tourist places. Forget holiday resorts and cities, this is real escape holiday destination. Great place, great value thanks for letting us stay in your place. :-)

Was a great stay. Loved the area. Great jumping off point for getting around the island while being in a “country” setting.

Janice was so helpful and fully detail on the house. The place is perfect and beautiful. To wake up to the sunrise and the crashing of the waves you will get a peaceful sleep and wake up full energized. This is one place you want to stay and worth every $$$$!!!!

I love how the place was decorated of the Star Wars theme. My boys are huge fans of the franchise. The kids had lots of fun seeing all the decor, playing with toys, and adults played the board games. The house was very spacious for a group of 11 of us. The house is cool because the lava burned down the house next door and there are steam vents now in front and all around the property making it look like a land from Star Wars. There was A/C in the home which was great because it can get warm and humid sometimes. There was still hair in the shower in the main bedroom but I think it’s because the hosts maybe live there and it was booked last minute. The host greeted us and showed us the place quickly and they made sure we had everything we needed. The house was pricey but super cool for one night and worth it to see my boys nerd-out for one night and just be in awe with all the cool decor.

My friends and I had the best stay here! Incredibly peaceful and private setting which had us feeling rested taken care of. Instructions were clear and place was filled with character. The hosts put a ton of effort into making the experience the best it could be!

We stayed 4 days here with extended family in the smaller home on the same property and it was great. The kitchen was well stocked, there was plenty of space for our family of 5 (larger group was 10 total) to spread out. The best part was the beach across the road with good snorkeling (stronger currents so be careful) and lagoon with turtles. Plenty of outdoor gear to borrow- SUP, kayaks, small boogie boards, water shoes and snorkel/fins. Would definitely stay here again.

The location is perfect for families that want to explore this side of the island. Is very suitable for families that want to eat at home and have kids that need space to play. Our group had a very good time there. Suzy and the owner were very fast in helping us manage our response to the storm.

Great remodeled condo with a lot of new touches and comfortable beds . It was perfect for our girls trip . We had a great time . Joe and Cindy are very responsive and friendly

Great place to stay and rejuvenate with a thriving community.

It's perfect. This is the first time I've seen such a perfect accommodation among all the hotels, hostels, and Airbnbs I've ever seen, including my own country. There are definitely some cons, but I'm so, so satisfied. One disadvantage is that there is a problem that the host can't solve. If you don't tiptoe like a cat, your footsteps will echo. Even though I'm not a loud person. It was a little hard to be very careful not to cause any damage. Even though my family is relatively small and thin Asians, I think people with large physiques will care a lot.

The landlord Wayne is a very nice guy and was extremely helpful to us. The house is beautiful, and remote. Everything was clean and comfortable and it’s on a spacious property. I highly recommend this house for anyone who would appreciate a quiet remote location that is still readily accessible to Hilo and the volcano national Park.

Members of our family really enjoyed the stay, even with a group of seven, there was lots of privacy and everyone could do thier own thing.

Ginger was amazing! You could tell that she poured a lot of love into her unit to make it feel inviting, clean, and homey. There was ample space to spread out with the two of us. We enjoyed the fact that she engaged with us as much or little as we needed. The lush vegetation and rainforest noises made you feel like you were 20 miles off grid, with the sounds lulling you to sleep at night. If the sounds and space weren't relaxing enough, she is a pro masseuse and we indulged in one of her massages, which was excellent and helped to ease us into that relaxed aloha spirit. Just off the highway in a small community, the location is easy to get to and there is a local food market in the town appx 10 minutes away or the farmers market appx 10 minutes in the other direction. The rate was very affordable too, might I add. Mahalo nui loa Ginger for the wonderful time.

This was an awesome place! We loved our stay here and it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip around the island. We were planning on getting out and doing more in Hilo while here, but decided to skip it and spend more time at the house and the beach.

We had a wonderful time staying at Kristen's place in Pahoa. She was such a great host. Very quick to respond to our questions and requests, provided great local tips, and an overall great person to get to know. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home on the east side of the Big Island, either for a few days or for a longer stay. Very comfortable with a big bedroom, fully stocked kitchen, and living room. Jungle living at its finest!
