Well equipped kitchen, big spacious house, great for our group of 5. At least a 10min flat walk to the beach, however a beach cart was needed if taking a beach cabana and chilli bins etc. We opted for a short drive to the beach when we were going for a few hours. Nice walk up the hill through bush to get to Whale Bay which was beautiful.

This is one of the best airbnbs I’ve stayed at. Situated on the coast of some of New Zealand’s best beaches, the property has easy walking access to a small private beach or enjoy Matapouri which is only a very short drive away. The property has every thoughtful amenity you may need which was so helpful if you want to bbq and eat at home. It’s fitted out to a super high standard with comfortable beds, linen and a great shower. It’s immaculately clean, nestled in stunning surroundings. Our host Angela continuously went above and beyond to offer the most outstanding service including fresh tomatoes from the garden and baked birthday muffins for my friend who was celebrating. If that wasn’t enough Angela offers massage therapy from her home which was reasonably priced and out of this world. A truly relaxing place, gorgeous quality and phenomenal host, I hope I can return to enjoy again!

This is a great place to stay for a group / or family as a base to explore Mangawhai and surrounds. Is clean, tidy, good parking and has everything you need. Comfortable beds and has been renovated in a lovely beachy simple vibe allowing you to relax and enjoy the private location. Had everything we needed and would stay again.

This place was absolutely incredible! The location was perfect, with breathtaking cliffside ocean views that made every moment special. It was very private and had plenty of space to relax and unwind. The house was well-equipped with everything we needed, making our stay comfortable and stress-free. On top of that, the owner was incredibly kind and even allowed us a late check-out, which we truly appreciated. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway!

Kim was a great host! My wife and I came on our honeymoon and Kim gave great suggestions of things to do and see in town. Calling the space an oasis is the perfect description, it was a beautiful spot on our honeymoon and the hospitality was greatly appreciated.

Great place to stay for a group of people! Great having a general store & takeaway a few doors down, a quiet neighbourhood. The back deck was a great place to hang about, plus taking advantage of the large flat lawn, spa, sauna and ice bath tub was great too. Comfortable beds and the heated tiles in the bathroom felt like a real treat!

What a gem this place is! A beautiful modern and clean apartment right on the water. We had a lovely stay, despite it raining for most of the time and not being able to take advantage of the outdoor seating area or enjoy the incredible view. Russell and Michelle are such warm and friendly hosts.

Kathryn’s place was amazing! We loved our stay. I couldn’t believe how well stocked it was. Everything we needed was there. It was extremely comfortable. The hospitality was so welcoming and we felt right at home. The view and the serenity take the cake though. Not often you get ocean, mountains, pastures, cows etc all at one place. Definitely recommend.
