Family-friendly vacation rentals in Morpeth

The property is beautiful but Billy and Gill made our stay extra special. They couldn’t do enough to help us feel at home. The apartment was clean, spacious, warm, safe, cosy and exactly as described. There is a large lounge to relax in with a great range of DVDS, games and books. We also had access to the games room which our boys were intrigued by and found a lovely Pinocchio book, Disney jigsaw puzzle and had a little go on the snooker table. But the stand out was the garden with treehouse, trampoline and ride on toys - our boys were obsessed - it was all perfect for our needs. Nice little extra touches were the welcome treats on arrival for both us and our kids and a bottle milk in the fridge. Billy and Gill always had time to talk and make sure everything was okay for us. I had a treatment with Gill which was amazing and would definitely recommend. Already planning our next trip at Stonelea House - thank you again for letting us stay in your lovely home.

We had the best weekend staying here - the place was lovely, had absolutely everything you need, with Christmas decorations giving it a lovely touch! Great location, around the corner from the Metro. Exceeded expectation as haven't used air BnB before. Hosts were helpful. A lovely place, highly recomend!

We had a wonderful half term. The area is wonderful, there is a lot to see. Beautiful beaches and great castles. Amble is a very clean and friendly town. The house is in a very good location, cozy and clean. It has everything you need. And the hot tub is like the cherry on the cake after a whole day of sightseeing. I highly recommend it.

Lovely cabin, lovely setting within a beautiful park, lovely little walk aroun the lake. Very dog friendly park which was lovey. Very nice hottub. Had everything you might need! Lots of things to do nearby if you have a car, and right next to the zoo.

We had the most amazing stay at the hide, everything was thought about even to the last details. Hosts were lovely and went above and beyond to make our experience phenomenal! Our favourite thing to do was to sit and relax in front of the beautiful scenery whilst our pooch explored the surroundings with a cup of tea in hand! Plenty to do not only within the surrounding areas but at the hide itself leaving you occupied at all times! We cannot wait to return next year and thank you again!

Just back from a lovely weekend away with the family and it was just what the doctor ordered. We arrived in total darkness and pouring rain to a toasty warm cabin which was much bigger than it looked in the pictures. Super location on the site down a little lane which was quiet and surrounded by woodland. The cabin itself was spotless and within no time the kids had picked their bedrooms and settled in. The cabin was a great base for exploring the North-East coast and after a days beach walking it was nice to come home and go for a soak in the hot-tub. The welcome pack a lovely unexpected bonus after a couple of hours drive. We will definitely return at some point in the future.

A fab New Year’s break with family and friends. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. Not long walk down to the beach where there are lovely bars and cafes open for our time away over the new year holidays Thanks

Ian and Susan's flat was really lovely and just as described in the listing. It was walkable to the main street (about 1 minute) and nice and easy to find and get to. The flat was very comfortable and had everything we needed. When we needed some help with setting the heating Ian called us and was very clear with his instructions. Everything was great and I'd definitely recommend staying there.

We absolutely loved our stay here, one of our favourite places! The surrounding area is gorgeous, the cottage set right on the bank of a stream with walks both ways. Peaceful, quiet and surprisingly spacious for a 2 bed! Not to mention spotlessly clean and well stocked. Would highly recommend a stay here and we will certainly be back.

Follions is a great large house for a family/friends get together. Lots of space inside and out and plenty of stuff in the kitchen to cook up a feast for everyone. There was a slight issue with the heating when we arrived but Richard answered our call straight away and talked us through getting it fixed and after that the house was lovely and warm the rest of the weekend. Great selection of games and dvds too!

Ideal location, this annex was spacious, very clean, with a great shower & bathroom and a very comfy bed! This was our second visit, and although the weather was awful , there were plenty of places to visit nearby. Being near the A1 meant it was easy to get around, yet we were never aware of traffic noise even though we like to sleep with our bedroom window open! The White Swan at the end of the road does fantastic food, so we were able to eat there a few times. We had a problem with getting the heating on, and Ian was immediately on hand to sort it.We wouldn't hesitate in recommending The Old School annex for a stay in this wonderful area.

The house is in a great location and was fantastically warm over a very cold weekend. The beds were also reported to all be really comfortable. A great choice!

Lovely cottage , perfect for walks . easy to find. loved the decor, open fire essential in the winter. friendly horse knocking on the kitchen window in the morning is an extra treat. everything you need for an amazing time.

Me and my partner absolutely loved staying here! The chapel though beautifully renovated has kept all its traditional charm. The hosts were super friendly and it’s the perfect historic base to explore the surrounding areas and Newcastle itself. We will definitely be coming back! ✨

Credit where it’s due, the house was super comfy and located a short walk into town. The Host, Munro was always avatars came to see us when we couldn’t quite grasp what he meant. Nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly recommend this house if you’re in the area.

I recently moved back to South Shields and stayed here whilst searching for a permanent rental and would highly recommend! The apartment looked exactly like the pictures, was spotless throughout and had all amenities you could need. The location was ideal; walking distance to the centre of South Shields as well as the beach with shops and restaurants on the doorstep, yet extremely peaceful inside. The bed was extremely comfortable. Colin made my stay great, he responded quickly throughout and even had the heating on before I arrived so the apartment was cosy when I got there. I ended up extending my stay privately with him. Couldn’t recommend more!

Visiting family for a few days and found this perfect place. Ideal for my wife and I close to where we needed to be within walking distance of Pubs and places to eat. Really secure and the place was immaculate with everything you could need and more. Very friendly hosts and we will be back to stay in the future.

Had a great time at Jenny’s property. Lovely, spacious character property on a quiet street but moments away from the centre of the town. Lots of things to do in the area so I think we’ll be back to explore more. Loveley welcome pack left by Jenny and very helpful with all aspects of our stay. Would definitely recommend.

What a lovely house. Everything is beautifully done at top quality. Winchester Terrace is also the best street in the area. You get the Downstairs flat, Which has its own bathroom and kitchen and living room as well as a bedroom with a double bed. a lovely feature is the wood burning stove, which Carla helpfully had already set up and needed only a match to light it.

Superb cottage in a superb location and wonderful to have the hotel around the corner. Staff so helpful and friendly, it really made a difference to our stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we felt at home from the day we arrived. The cottage was perfect for our extended stay (a month) and we will fondly remember our time in the cottage, Frosterley and the Weardale and North Pennines area. Our hosts were very friendly, laid back and made us feel wonderfully relaxed during our stay. The cottage was warm, comfortable and well appointed and ideal for our needs. We would definitely recommend River View Cottage and the other accommodation in the courtyard to family and friends and we would definitely consider returning in the future for another break.
