Family-friendly vacation rentals in Monte Sacro Alto, Rome

If you are planning on spending more than a week in Rome but do not want to reside in any tourist area, look no further than Antonia’s absolutely fantastic home in Garbatella!!!! The bedrooms (three!) are all spacious and well-lit. The bathrooms provide everything one needs, including a washing machine! We cooked several of our meals in her well-appointed kitchen as it contained everything one needs, including a huge refrigerator by Italian standards and a dishwasher! The BEST part however is Antonia herself! Fantastic communication throughout our stay and the most generous of persons, even dropping off fresh Italian pastries one morning! 5-minute walk to the metro; fantastic cheese and meat shop around the corner; 12-minute walk to the train 🚂 station and all in a vibrant neighborhood of true Italy!

Fidias home was perfect. It is near the Piazza del Popolo, walking distance to the Prati neighborhood. Approximately 11 minutes to the Spanish steps. The home is clean and spacious, very comfortable. We had a rainy day on the trip and we were happy relaxing in the living room. The bedrooms are large and the beds are very comfortable. Fidia was very kind and responsive. She arranged transportation for us from the train station and to the airport, which made our trip even smoother. Overall, our experience was wonderful, and I can't recommend Fidia’s home enough for anyone visiting Rome!

Germanas apt was perfect for our stay. We loved the location, as it was so convenient to shops restaurants and transport. We could walk everywhere from here. It was clean and had all we needed. Germana was very attentive to all we needed, and the space was perfect for us …we would highly recommend this lovely little apt for your stay!

Location location location

We really enjoyed our stay in Rome. Mauricio’s place is in a great location being walking distance to the Vatican and lots of buses to get to downtown Rome. The apartment was very clean and spacious. Maurizio was very responsive when we needed to contact him. Highly recommended.

Chiara is a kind and hospitable host. She was very thoughtful in leaving us all the necessities and gifts for the new year! The apartment has everything you need. There were plenty of toiletries and towels in the bathrooms, and the kitchen was very well stocked. There were all the basics plus some! We are a family of 5, which includes 3 young adult children and everyone had privacy and room to spread out. The apartment has a great view of the pantheon and lots to see and do in a short walk. We plan to stay again on our next trip to Rome!

Great location, easy to get to and Maria was easy to deal with.

We had a wonderful stay and the best part was the location. The square near the house (20 second walk) was fantastic. Great restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Great shopping and everything very walkable. Getting in and out of the apartment was very easy and Mica and Andrea were very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend as a great place to stay in Rome!

Edoardo was a great host. (Also if you are lucky enough you might meet his dog Paco who is also lovely). The place is great for large families as it has a large kitchen and two bathrooms. The location is great, as there is a Carrefour close, metro station and several bus stops.

Emanuela was an absolutely fantastic host! Friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout our stay. The apartment itself was spotless and smelled lovely! It was also perfectly located, being very close to the metro station (Pigneto - 2 stations away from San Giovanni) which made getting around Rome incredibly easy. While not far from the city center, we also loved that it was situated in a neighborhood with some fantastic local restaurants, bars and supermarkets that weren't overrun with tourists. Highly recommend this place for a memorable Roman getaway!

everything is fine, Mr. Giuseppe, a very kind person, made himself at home for the handover of the keys and the necessary explanations, accommodation as described, clean and with everything you need to spend 3 nights in complete serenity, in an area well served by services of all kinds and close to the metro, a 10-minute walk from the Vatican. top!

A very beautiful house! The apartment is as described, very clean and equipped with everything you need down to the smallest details. Very close to the metro which takes you very quickly to the center and to the tourist attractions. The communication with Giorgia was very good and she responded very quickly to the messages. Check-in is very easy to do with the help of the key box. It is worth/recommend to stay at Giorgia's place in a very clean, comfortable and nicely furnished home. Thank you Giorgia and I will be back!

Excellent location, in front of the subway. The region is very good, with several restaurants and shops. Very helpful and considerate hosts. Spacious and very pleasant apartment. I highly recommend it.

The apartment's location is unparalleled, literally one block from the Colosseum and very close to all the other attractions. Pamino is very friendly and the access is very easy. Highly recommend.

It was a wonderful stay. Paolo was very helpful and attentive. The apartment very organized and clean. Paolo was careful to leave a cupboard stocked with products for the preparation of a beautiful paste, ( noodles, olive oil, sauce and seasonings) This was perfect because we arrived at night from the tours and prepared a beautiful meal. There were also fruits and cleaning products is hygiene. Really, it exceeded my expectations. Paolo Valeu will definitely indicate your space to my friends.

We stayed during the Christmas holidays, the area is great, convenient to visit the entire historic center of Rome on foot, but at the same time very quiet. The accommodation has everything you need and is comfortable to accommodate a family of 5. Giuliana was helpful for any need, often proactive in her advice.

Stefano’s place was absolutely amazing! We couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more. The location on the 6th floor offers stunning views that are truly unforgettable. I especially loved the hot tub and terrace, where I spent every evening relaxing. The place was spotless, and they even let us drop off our bags the morning we arrived. I give Stefano’s place 5 stars, and we’ll definitely book again when we visit. It felt just like home!

Jimmy is probably the most helpful host I've ever met.We are coming to Rome by car, there are convenient free parking spots near our stay, and he is also very familiar with transportation to the Vatican or Rome attractions.If you want to go near the Colosseum, you can drive 5 minutes from the accommodation to the nearby subway station.The whole stay is also very comfortable, the TV, microwave oven, and the oven is also unique. The flat is such a cozy place where you can find a big balcony. The interior is very warm and all amenities are new. I would say jimmy is a great and super helpful host. He provides clear check in instructions and many good recommendations on food and places to visit. Such a pleasant experience.

A beautiful house in the outskirts of Rome in absolute calm on private land; you can reach an excellent piazza Cavour parking in the immediate vicinity of the historic center in 30 minutes, and there is also public transport accessible nearby . The house is spacious , and the view of Rome is breathtaking . To be absolutely perfect, we just missed the internet (broken due to bad weather), and the description would also benefit from being more accurate (a single room with double beds and not two as the photos suggest, and the heating to be paid in addition while not clearly shown on the French translation of the listing ). Claudia was very accommodating and offered us the heating costs in compensation for internet concerns... and she was always very responsive!

Alessandro was very helpful during my stay in Rome. I received a useful guide on how to get to the apartment from the airport. He was very informative on how to rent a bike when I inquired and advised Bicibaci which helped me to navigate around Rome a lot more easily than with public transport. The apartment was very clean and comfortable.

Beautiful cottage! In our opinion, in a very good location to reach various places in Rome (for us everything was very practical, in about 20 minutes we were at the Colosseum and from there everything can be reached very well, on foot). Very quiet! Peace in a small village where there is everything! The welcome and kindness of Alessandro's mother, very welcome!

The house was exactly as described and we had a wonderful time. Communication was always spot on and Flavio was a great host. Everything worked perfectly. The house is in a great location. Perfect for day trips into Rome or to the surrounding hilltop towns. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.

We really enjoyed our Christmas and New Year week at this place. We were a company of 4 adults and 4 children and the villa fully matched our expectations. The layout of the house is really comfortable and provides enough space for privacy and at the same time for spending time together, like the room with the fireplace. The territory is green and has everything to relax: swimming-pool, table tennis, places for playing with the ball and BBQ. It is also within a short drive from Rome historical center- Piazza Cavour, which has a convenient underground parking from where it is possible to explore Rome. Flavia and Giuseppe are always in touch if needed and the communication is easy.
