Lake house vacation rentals in Monroe Lake

Thank you for this perfect home away from home.

What can I say? It was everything I imagined it to be and more. The Lake House is a perfect size for a small group of 4 or a romantic getaway for two! The view was amazing and had multiple balconies to relax and enjoy it with, especially from the hot tub. An incredibly relaxing/peaceful experience; well worth the price. Definitely be sure to bring food and basic essentials, as the closest store/restaurant around is a half hour out. But overall, 5 out 5 stars!

Thus spur of the moment find is one we are sooooo happy we found! The drive back to the property is just as magical as when you arrive. Very secluded, quiet, and cozy! Lots of hiking, kayaking, canoeing & bonfires!! Dan was amazing and very responsive. The cute town of Nashville, IN has some fun stuff & a great pizza place! Look for geodes along the lake!!! Pro tip: hit up the grocery store before you arrive - once you are there…..you’re not gonna wanna leave ♥️

This place is a notch above any rental we have ever stayed at! You can easily tell that the owner takes pride in this rental and really strives to make the guests feel at home. I didn't find a speck of dirt or dust which is surprising considering it is in a beautiful, secluded wooded area and is pet friendly. We don't even have dogs!🤷🏼‍♀️ But we wanted a place that we could go to and spend the whole weekend at the house if need be due to weather and it did not disappoint! My kids are already begging to go back, one night just wasn't long enough. Thank you so much Marissa! We can't wait to come back (hopefully when it isn't raining).

Libby's house was great for a weekend getaway. She helped us work through a couple of snags and was very responsive in helping. The Porthole Inn was a great place for live music and food! short drive in to Bloomington. The Butler winery was down the road and an amazing recommendation!

This is my favorite place to stay when visiting Bloomington — beautiful accommodations in a peaceful setting yet just a short drive from campus and downtown. Laurie had thought of everything to make your stay comfortable and is a super responsive host! The breakfast items are a nice touch; eating in the breakfast nook while watching the birds off the deck is so peaceful and the perfect start to the day.

This place was absolutely beautiful and so unique. It didn’t feel like an vacation rental, but more like staying at a family members house. The house is old so there are some things that come with that, like finicky door knobs and a few other small things, but nothing terrible. The house was clean and there were plenty of towels, dishes, etc. for our large group. It’s not super private because there are other rentals on the property but that didn’t bother us. Tonya was incredibly friendly and responsive! There’s so much to do on the property that we wish we would’ve stayed longer, but we plan to come back at some point to do the things we didn’t have time for.

This small cabin on a private lake was a perfect last minute booking for me and my friends. The host was super quick to respond because we booked super last minute after the hurricane rains rained out our camping trip! The place was super clean when we arrived and we had a blast taking the small boat out and even went to the Salt Creek winery right down the road, literally 3 minutes away. I think the cleaning fee was a lot for the space that was provided, but it was still a great time and the perfect get-away! Thank you for having us!

Excellent place, very clean, very nice! Place has enough parking for a couple trucks and boats, just minutes from the lake!
