House vacation rentals in Monona

Wonderful location for a family gathering. 10 of us stayed here at Thanksgiving and there was plenty of room. The beds were very comfy and our dog enjoyed the large yard. This was our second time renting this house and we would happily stay here again.

We just completed an amazing getaway here at Lisa’s place. The pictures do not do this beautiful home justice. Everything is even better than presented. The kitchen is phenomenal - with every appliance, cook/bake/serveware you can imagine, and a perfect focal place for gatherings. Each room is cozy and homey - and there are so many hidden gems! The bedrooms were elegant yet amazingly comfortable for resting. And the location is super easy to access Madison while offering quiet & peace for morning & evening walks (added bonus if you bring your pup!). Finally and maybe best of all, Lisa is a perfect host!! Immediately responsive, really helpful with questions, and she offered terrific recommendations that we took up & thoroughly enjoyed. We all loved everything about our stay & plan to come back!

A beautiful, riverside home. It accommodated our group of nine beautifully. The living room furniture was very comfortable. We were not fans of the swear words on the bathroom wall hangings, but we took them down so the kids didn't see them. A heads-up for people with back problems that the master bedroom bed was the softest bed we had ever slept on. It was like sleeping on a marshmallow. All in all, a beautiful home.

This was our third time staying at this house and it was still easy, convenient, and with everything we needed. The location is great for accessing some of the local ski resorts, and there were enough bedrooms and space to accommodate three families and a gaggle of kids. The whole process was easy and Brittney was responsive and helpful the whole time. Looking forward to returning next year!

Even though the weather was a bit unpredictable over the weekend, we still had an amazing time at this place! It was spotless, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was plenty of space for us to use, and the host was incredibly welcoming and responsive. The location was perfect—peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend staying here!

Unfortunately I was in Wisconsin for a funeral but the house was quite roomy and comfortable for my family of 8 I appreciate the amenities that you provided as far as electronics… the game closet was a hit my children loved the hot tub overall I give it a 10 and I would rebook if I’m in Wisconsin

Jonathan was the best host!! He went above and beyond for me. You let him know what you need and he will do his very best to provide it. Don't hesitate to stay at his place, you will feel welcome and comfortable there.

We had a great stay. Our original reservation at a different location was cancelled, so we needed to find another place or cancel our girls trip! Andrew’s place was comfortable, clean, and homey. All 6 of us were able to gather in the living room in the evenings with plenty of space. The round chair was the BEST! Great neighborhood was quiet with great neighbors. Andrew was always quick to respond to the questions that came up.

I had a great stay at Lori’s place in Monona! The space is the entire lower level of her home, offering plenty of privacy while still feeling welcoming. Lori was friendly and responsive—even helping me quickly my first night when I accidentally locked myself out after a long travel day. The home has a wonderful atmosphere, with the occasional aroma of homemade cooking making it feel extra cozy. The space was clean, quiet, and comfortable—a perfect retreat from a packed schedule of book events. It was just what I needed to regroup, get work done, and plan ahead before heading back out. The location is super convenient—Lyfts are easy to get, and getting to Madison was quick and seamless. Whether you’re in town for work or just looking for a peaceful, well-kept space, Lori’s place offers a great balance of accessibility and relaxation. Would absolutely stay here again!

Brian is the perfect host: responsive, proactive and respectful of privacy. And if you’re looking for some peace and quiet with beautiful views, this is the perfect place.

Carolina was an incredible super host. She was generous in accommodating our request for an early check-in and late check-out, which helped so much. We were in town for my mother's burial and celebration of life service and her accommodations made a difficult time a whole lot easier. Her home has lovely good energy. She has gorgeous orchids and beautiful plants all throughout. The space is warm, welcoming and well taken care of. We felt right at home. Carolina checked in throughout our stay to make sure we were fine and managing well. I highly recommend this beautiful home. Thank you Carolina for taking such good care of us.

Was in town for the wedding of a graduate school buddy, and Aleen's BNB was a perfect spot from which to relive the old days and good times. Extremely cozy, with beautiful views of Lake Mendota and easy access to nearby favorites including The Bou. Highly recommend.

Samantha and Bruce provided a lovely home, beautifully furnished and in full working order. Food provisions were made available for our arrival and our request to check in 3 hours early was granted with out query. Overall a lovely stay.

The listing photos and other reviews are accurate - Paul and Erika's place is amazing! Nestled amongst the rolling hills of southern Wisconsin, the location of the property is easy to get to and provides stunning views. The back decks (there are three of them) were private, blissful, peaceful and beautiful. There was enough room inside for our two families of four with young kiddos could easily spread out. Quiet corners abound for the book lovers. Toys and games aplenty for the active bunch. The kitchen was clean, utensils and dishes were plenty, and had everything we needed to make big family meals. If you're looking for SuperHosts, Paul and Erika are it. They were responsive, very friendly, and answered all of my questions about little customizations done around the house and property. What a lovely gem of a spot, we would gladly be back!

Stayed here for the Penn State game over the weekend and had a really nice stay. We did rent a car so we could get back and forth to town but took advantage of being so close to the Arboretum for morning walks along the trails which was perfect. I always prefer to stay as a family in a home instead of a hotel so its easy to spend relaxation time together without feeling crowded. The bedrooms were all comfortable. Having only one bathroom took some geteting used to but we made it work and never ran out of hot water which was nice. Nancy was kind enough to leave snacks and drinks for our arrival which I thought was a nice touch! All of the house instructions were very clear and check out was simple which we appreciated having such an early departure flight home. If we ever visit again, would bee fun to see Penn State beat them again:) we would definitely come back. Wisconsin has a very nice campus with a ton of things to do and they were all very hospitable to us as visiting fans!

My family and I had a wonderful stay. It was my parent’s first AirBnB experience and they were so impressed! This is the nicest and cleanest BnB out of all that I’ve stayed in. Luke was also a responsive and caring host.

We rented Megan's home for a weekend in mid-December for a family holiday. Prior to booking, I exchanged some messages with Megan to let her know our requested plans and she was very responsive and accommodating. Her home is large and the rooms were spacious and great for a family gathering / socializing. The bedrooms had plenty of room, and the bathrooms were large and well-appointed. The kitchen was beautiful, with a very large island which suited our group very well. Best of all, she had the house decorated for the holidays so it felt very inviting and festive. This house has perfect space to gather and hang out, with plenty of room so you don't feel on top of each other.

Well-kept, serene, and charming. This place is ideal for a relaxing getaway. The Farmhouse, set in the rolling hills of the Wisconsin countryside, is spacious and inviting and guests can expect a quiet, comfortable stay with all the amenities of home. We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend at the Farmhouse.
