House vacation rentals in Monchique

The house has spectacular views of the Algarve to the sea. Simply stunning! The last 10 minutes to the house go up and down quite a bit and are already a challenge in the dark. But you can expect absolute silence. The 2 (neighbor) houses above and below are far enough away. The terrace is beautiful and offers the distant views. The fireplace draws fantastically and heats - if you have enough firewood with you like us - the whole house. We never needed the electric heaters. Firewood is also available. The amenities are older. But convenient. A bit outdated in the kitchen. But Maria and has an open ear for any hints. The hot water supply is great by the way. Finally a vacation home where there is still hot water for the second person. For dog owners: The terrain is not fenced. This was good for our dog, because there is no danger in the form of cars. Too remote!

Great hosts, great house would return and would recommend to all.

Loes and Mario gave us a warm welcome on arrival. The accommodation was just as described, a beautiful, quiet and relaxing location. Very private with lots of outdoor space to use. Comfortable accommodation with everything you need for a great holiday. Nothing was too much trouble, a lovely warm and welcoming couple. Had the added extra joy of their two beautiful and very well behaved dogs and playful cat. Look forward to our next trip as we will definitely want to stay with them again. Can't thank them enough for making our stay very relaxing and comfortable. xx

Beautiful spacious Villa. Great outdoor space with pool, bbq and an outdoor toilet. And of course stunning views. All bedrooms were stocked with clean towels and bedding. There were lots of glasses, plates and cooking utensils. Because it’s private we could play music and not disturb any neighbours. Fantastic stay!

Nelson was very friendly at the welcome and occasionally sent messages if everything was going well with us. The cottage was a bit remote about 12 minutes from Aljezur. The road to it is a bit difficult to drive, but we got it used to it quickly. The cottage itself was very nicely maintained and clean and everything we needed was present (kitchen equipment, towels, washing machine...). There were 2 full bedrooms and 2 small bathrooms (a little dated). The domain had a wonderfully private swimming pool with beautiful views, which we have used daily. Keep in mind that there is no wifi and also only 4G range...sometimes on the terrace. We once enjoyed kicking off all our electronics. :) When we needed full internet, we went into town. In Aljezur there are several grocery stores and restaurants.

Beautiful home with very tasteful decor in a quaint part of the Algarve. Great location if you plan to discover the Algarve by car. I would definitely book this home again

I've been looking forward to writing this review since we checked in. Catarina and Antonio's house is absolutely amazing. As my wife said when she first saw it, the pictures don't do it justice, it is one of the few places that look even better in real life than it does in the pictures. Beautifully decorated, amazing land for hiking around the property, extremely peaceful and Antonio was so helpful and responsive at all times. I would recommend this property to anybody looking for peace and quiet but still close enough to all possible amenities. Thank you Catarina and Antonio!

Very nice accommodation, we went with family on Christmas and it was the perfect accommodation. It was all in perfect condition, clean. with everything we need to cook and even as time allowed we used the BBQ site and made the meal on the huge contiguous balcony. The house is better than the images and how we were in a family to have rooms with private bathrooms is an added value. Voltariamos, if it is so provided.

A wonderful little retreat, perfect to switch off and relax. The pool area is perfect for children and adults alike. It's the small, thoughtful touches that make it wonderful. The home is very well-equipped - they really have thought of everything. I can't praise it enough!

Light, bright, spacious townhouse in picturesque Monchique. The house is exactly as it looks in the pictures. Comfortable bed, nice linen, great shower, all the amenities needed plus Jose and Maria left a croissant 🥐 some bread & the most divine almond macaroons. Jose is a kind & generous host who spent some time showing me the mountains and his land. It’s a short walk downhill into the village where there’s cafes and restaurants. Velochique is a nice space for food and drinks on the square. A couple of things to note, the bathroom and bedroom are up 2 flights of stairs (I left my heavy case downstairs & only took the things I needed upstairs). In the winter some places are closed. There is a street lamp outside so if sensitive to light bring an eye-mask. When the sun lights the bedroom and it’s a clear day, the view across to the mountains is lovely. I would recommend Jose’s place.

We had a lovely time staying at Małgorzata's place. The view from the terrace is breathtaking. The kids were very happy that they had so many toys to try and a small playground. We could even use the fireplace, which allowed us to make ourselves comfortable on the rainy days. Thank you for the wonderful time and the nice communication/care!

Loved our stay here. We wish we could have stayed longer and made better use of the beautiful outdoor area. This was our favourite place that we stayed at in Portugal. The location is perfect as long as you have a car.

Lovely location, beautiful woodland surroundings, with orange and lemon trees full of fruit! Ideal base for hiking, close to Monchique for shops and cafes Evenings and mornings were cool so the heater was definitely needed Everything in the kitchen was fine, we made good use of the orange press!
