Great house and great location! John’s instructions were useful and precise.

The trip was an absolutely amazing time to spend time in nature and bond with friends. The house was honestly a little bigger than I thought and had a lot of to inside and around it. The only issue we had was the code to get into the house but other than that we have 0 complaints.

When we arrived in Romney, to work on a local cell tower, we realized there was no a local hotel within reason. I quickly logged into AirBnB and found Laura's place. I contacted her because we needed to check-in the same day. She responded very quickly and put a plan in place to have the cleaners come and make arrangements so we could check in on the same day I made the reservations. Within an hour we were booked and ready to go. The stay was fantastic and we were extremely grateful for the quick response and a wonderful place to stay.

We had a great time at this cabin with our two kids. The cabin is beautiful inside and out, and was easy to get to (just followed online maps directions), though arriving after dark (and in the fog) was a little tricky so I would definitely try to get there a bit earlier. We enjoyed spreading out to the three bedrooms and three full baths, playing with some of the games, the hot tub, and the multiple TVs (and the Christmas tree!). We brought groceries and cooked every night. Note that AWD is recommended (and listed as required by the mgmt company) in this county - we did not know this but had no issues, as there was only a dusting of snow each morning and the driveway to this cabin is pretty flat. There are neighbors to each side visible (in winter at least) but it still felt pretty private and was certainly very quiet. We drove to Wisp one afternoon for snow tubing, which was super fun. Highly recommend this cabin!

Such a great spot for a getaway! Beautiful scenery , loved falling asleep next to the creek. Had everything I needed! The heat in the cabin was a bonus on a cold day. I was also surprised how many sleeping arrangements could fit in a cabin. I would recommend this place 👍

My fiance and I had an AMAZING time here this past weekend, such a beautiful hidden gem. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the creek and walking around the woods in the morning. You can tell the place is well loved and run by genuine people. Theres so much to explore around and we were given a whole list of places to visit! Already planning more trips to come visit again!

Away from busy our lives; this place is a perfect escape for a couple of nights, to reset and get back to everyday lives. My boyfriend and I came here during March and it was chilly, but still so nice; the trees, the privacy, and the view generally are all peaceful. Made me think during the summer this would be an even better place! The hosts were friendly and they were transparent and clear with communication. I am impressed for a place like this to be able to give my boyfriend and me a sense of peace! Would recommend this for a quick escape or a retreat!

We wanted an interesting place to stay for our visit to the neighboring town of Cumberland. This little glamping cabin fit the bill. The owner’s instructions were clear and accurate. The cabin was clean and cutely decorated. We wish we could have stayed longer to explore the camp ground more. We would like to return for a longer weekend.

What a beautiful home! This house is stunning and the views are absolutely incredible. It is a steep, windy, gravel road to get to the house so keep that in mind. The town of Romney wasn’t quite as large/exciting as we were hoping but thankfully the house was so beautiful and cozy that we never even wanted to leave! There are no official bedrooms and isn’t very handicap-friendly but it is still manageable. Probably best for a couple or small family. Would absolutely recommend this beautiful home to anyone looking for a very peaceful, quiet getaway!

Tina and Robert were amazing hosts. Very understanding and compassionate hosts with great response time. Was quiet and peaceful after a long day's work. Went above and beyond in assisting us and would absolutely stay again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Hermitage. We are very familiar with the area. We have a family home one block away & have outgrown that home for an annual family long weekend, thus my husband and I now need to rent a home to accommodate that issue. We were 5 adults, 2 toddlers & a 1 month-old baby. The home was spacious & we were able to spread out. It was nicely appointed & the descriptions of things provided and things you should bring was helpful & accurate. We enjoyed all of the games provided. Came in handy on a rainy day. Tons of water toys for the lake were excitedly found by our 2.5 year old granddaughter. She loved playing with some of them at the lake. The deck is so spacious & we enjoyed spending time out there after the rain let up. We are a very active family & enjoyed walking to the sandy beach & all around Sky Valley and Thousand Acres...such a lovely location & very close to our hearts (we've been coming since the 90's). We will rent this home again next year!
