Family-friendly vacation rentals in Minamiizu, Kamo District

The location was good and there were plenty of amenities. The sauna and open-air bath are very pleasant and satisfactory.

The owner was fantastic and very responsive, even took us to the local grocery store. The house is on the side of the hill in an incredibly quiet and serene location with complete privacy. The outdoor hot bath was incredible, too, and a great way to relax and unwind at the end of the day. Overall it was a great place to stay and would recommend it for anyone staying in Atami.

We spent the October long weekend at Hiroko’s house and it was absolutely perfect. We had lovely weather to enjoy nightly barbecues on the beautiful balcony, perfect for enjoying the amazing view over the coast. The house is really conveniently located to so many beaches (we enjoyed Irita and Kisami the most) as well as to central Shimoda town and plenty of ammenities. It was great to have the outdoor shower and the beautiful modern shower and spa room after a day at the beach. The house is at the top of a very, very steep hill but we had no problems accessing it, however we chose to only drive to the beach as it would have been too steep for our kids to walk back home. Hiroko gave clear instructions of how to find the house which was very helpful.

The explanation in advance and at check-in are very polite and I think you are a trustworthy host. I usually book with groups of more than 10 people, but it was always difficult to find a place to stay.The basement is amazing in that regard! It was also very popular with the group. Those who want to talk until midnight are in the basement, and those who want to sleep in the bedroom are very grateful to be able to zoom in. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.

The terrace has a view of Mt.Fuji, and the living room and room are comfortable.The bathroom had a bathtub to soak in, but the walls were a bit of a mark.The owners provide a lot of information on shops and restaurants that are attractive in the neighborhood.

The beach is right there, you can see the sea even if you are sitting in the dining room, the stars are beautiful, the location was great!It was a family trip for three generations, but I would like to come back again. There is no microwave, so I thought that if you have small children, you need to be creative with your belongings.

With the four of us on our trip, we had a relaxing time renting the entire building large enough to spare.It was easy to understand in person with instructions at check-in. We would love to stay again with great karaoke facilities and sound quality. If you get another chance, thank you!

We stayed in this lovely home just outside of town, nestled in nature, for one month and felt right at home. Abhi is a most generous and considerate host, he helped us out from start to finish and made sure we had the best time in the Shimoda area. You do not need a car if staying here as the beach and a couple of restaurants are only about a 10 min walk from the house and convenience store about 20 minutes and a couple more good restaurants / bars about 35 minutes. But if you want to visit more sites in the area or go to the grocery store we'd recommend a car. The main reason we were visiting the area was to dive with the huge schools of Hammerhead sharks just off the coast here. Without a car the dive center can pick you up. We highly recommend Abhi's place. good wifi good AC big TV well equipped kitchen washing machine

We had an amazing time during our 3 day weekend ! Place was exactly as per the pictures and we had the feeling of being in another country ! Beach really close by (walkable distance but with hill to get back to the house), convenient store and grocery shopping near by if you have a car. Would happily come back for holidays !

Abhi was an amazing host. He was waiting for our arrival and walked us through the property. His place has awesome character, like high quality speakers (audiophiles would enjoy this). During our stay, Abhi offered us fresh fruits from his garden. It was an extremely personable experience.

We really appreciated Yuji's quick responses, he was very helpful with our booking. The place was very clean and just what we were looking for.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay here. we were attending the dontsuku festival at Izu-Inatori nearby and wanted to stay at a place away from the crowds and this was perfect. Please take note that there aren't many establishments nearby so it might be difficult for bus/train travelers but if you drove yourself, this place is wonderful!

we really enjoyed our stay at the house. The second floor is large and cozy with plenty of room and we used the grill on the covered balcony. It’s a nice neighborhood just up the road from Kisami beach. Thank you!

Such a peaceful and relaxing stay. The sun in the morning and waking up with the birds was wonderful. Stars and moon at night were exquisite. Definitely recommend and will stay again the next time I want to surf Shimoda. 🙏🏽

In the middle of nature, I enjoyed plenty of meals on the terrace while watching the flowers in the garden.It felt open and private at the same time, and it was a special getaway with a hot spring and a great view to ourselves.There is a polite guide in the house, so I didn't get lost in how to use the facilities, and I felt the host's hospitality everywhere, such as decoration and clean bedding. I will stay there again. Thank you so much!

We had a great stay. Hosts were very helpful with recommendations and getting us cabs into town. The beach was perfect for our 3 kids and a very close walk from the house. They had lots of boogie boards and surf boards available to rent. The Kitchen was well equipped and we loved they had multiple refrigerators since the space used to be a restaurant. The bedrooms were very good size for multiple people. Air conditioning worked great in the bedrooms and living room. We loved the huge deck for relaxing! Laundry was a bit difficult as there is no dryer. Places to hang dry your clothes were available. One down side to the house is there is no bathroom upstairs, and all the bedrooms were up stairs. I would Deffinetly recommend this great beach house! Thanks guys for a great time.

6 adults and 3 children for one night.I was allowed to harvest vegetables for the BBQ in the evening, and went to the field.The kids enjoyed putting the okra in the basket and getting a leaf umbrella like Totoro has!There was water running nearby and I also observed dragonflies.They also seemed to enjoy searching for creatures and playing in the water. Above all, both✨ adults and children who have delicious organic rice here, we ate rice!!If my kids are a little older, I'd love to come during the fall harvest and rice planting. At night, it was very dark because there were few street lights, and the stars and fireworks were very beautiful. There was no⭐️ air conditioning and only circulator, so I felt painful at first (mid-August), and I felt a lot of sweat, the pleasantness of the wind, the comfort of cold water, and the deliciousness of beer, which may be the best part of the rural experience. My uncle was a very nice person, he told me a lot when I spoke, brought me rice and vegetables, loved my children like my grandchildren, and watched me at a reasonable distance!

The amenities provided were top-notch, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, with the close by beach. We enjoyed exploring the area.
