The location was good and there were plenty of amenities. The sauna and open-air bath are very pleasant and satisfactory.

The owner was fantastic and very responsive, even took us to the local grocery store. The house is on the side of the hill in an incredibly quiet and serene location with complete privacy. The outdoor hot bath was incredible, too, and a great way to relax and unwind at the end of the day. Overall it was a great place to stay and would recommend it for anyone staying in Atami.

The beach is right there, you can see the sea even if you are sitting in the dining room, the stars are beautiful, the location was great!It was a family trip for three generations, but I would like to come back again. There is no microwave, so I thought that if you have small children, you need to be creative with your belongings.

Nice location, onsen in every room, karaoke room in the large and equipped basement. Recommended for groups of 10-12 people.

It was a perfect place to stay. This time, we stayed with a family of three, but the night view was beautiful because the weather was good, and there were no buildings around, so we had a very quiet time. It was the best time with an unobstructed view in the morning. Next time, I want to come with a large group, including friends and other families, and have a barbecue.

We stayed in this lovely home just outside of town, nestled in nature, for one month and felt right at home. Abhi is a most generous and considerate host, he helped us out from start to finish and made sure we had the best time in the Shimoda area. You do not need a car if staying here as the beach and a couple of restaurants are only about a 10 min walk from the house and convenience store about 20 minutes and a couple more good restaurants / bars about 35 minutes. But if you want to visit more sites in the area or go to the grocery store we'd recommend a car. The main reason we were visiting the area was to dive with the huge schools of Hammerhead sharks just off the coast here. Without a car the dive center can pick you up. We had an amazing time during our 3 day weekend ! Place was exactly as per the pictures and we had the feeling of being in another country ! Beach really close by (walkable distance but with hill to get back to the house), convenient store and grocery shopping near by if you have a car. Would happily come back for holidays !

Abhi was an amazing host. He was waiting for our arrival and walked us through the property. His place has awesome character, like high quality speakers (audiophiles would enjoy this). During our stay, Abhi offered us fresh fruits from his garden. It was an extremely personable experience.

We really appreciated Yuji's quick responses, he was very helpful with our booking. The place was very clean and just what we were looking for.

The parking lot was very spacious, and there was an Aeon supermarket about a 5-minute drive away, which was very convenient for transportation.The kitchen was stocked with lots of nice dishes and we enjoyed cooking.In the morning, you can see the sea from the room, and there are lush vegetation lined with lush vegetation by the window, which was very healing.Thank you for a pleasant and heartwarming stay.If I get the chance again, I'd love to use it!

we really enjoyed our stay at the house. The second floor is large and cozy with plenty of room and we used the grill on the covered balcony. It’s a nice neighborhood just up the road from Kisami beach. Thank you!

Such a peaceful and relaxing stay. The sun in the morning and waking up with the birds was wonderful. Stars and moon at night were exquisite. Definitely recommend and will stay again the next time I want to surf Shimoda. 🙏🏽

We had a great stay. Hosts were very helpful with recommendations and getting us cabs into town. The beach was perfect for our 3 kids and a very close walk from the house. They had lots of boogie boards and surf boards available to rent. The Kitchen was well equipped and we loved they had multiple refrigerators since the space used to be a restaurant. The bedrooms were very good size for multiple people. Air conditioning worked great in the bedrooms and living room. We loved the huge deck for relaxing! Laundry was a bit difficult as there is no dryer. Places to hang dry your clothes were available. One down side to the house is there is no bathroom upstairs, and all the bedrooms were up stairs. I would Deffinetly recommend this great beach house! Thanks guys for a great time.

6 adults and 3 children for one night.I was allowed to harvest vegetables for the BBQ in the evening, and went to the field.The kids enjoyed putting the okra in the basket and getting a leaf umbrella like Totoro has!There was water running nearby and I also observed dragonflies.They also seemed to enjoy searching for creatures and playing in the water. Above all, both✨ adults and children who have delicious organic rice here, we ate rice!!If my kids are a little older, I'd love to come during the fall harvest and rice planting. At night, it was very dark because there were few street lights, and the stars and fireworks were very beautiful. There was no⭐️ air conditioning and only circulator, so I felt painful at first (mid-August), and I felt a lot of sweat, the pleasantness of the wind, the comfort of cold water, and the deliciousness of beer, which may be the best part of the rural experience. My uncle was a very nice person, he told me a lot when I spoke, brought me rice and vegetables, loved my children like my grandchildren, and watched me at a reasonable distance!

It is a very spacious house, "I want to stay in Totoro!"The children were also delighted to play! We would like to stay there again (^ ^)

I recommend this house, it’s clean, spacious and quiet. Yugawara has good access to onsens, and it’s within a short distance of Atami and Hakkone. The host is methodical and tidy and respects your privacy. It’s a quiet house located on a mountain road. Perfect for walks or a quiet stay. I would stay again, it’s highly recommended.
