Our stay was great! We enjoyed the fireplace nightly and clear instructions on how to use it. The area feels safe and there was a playground nearby for the children to run around in. Our host was very nice and communicative. Everything was clean and very nicely maintained. I would revisit!

My husband and I did a five day stay here and it was well worth it. We wanted to stay somewhere serene while still being able to explore Santa Barbara and Ojai. Santa Barbara is only 15 minutes away and Ojai is about 30 minutes. We bounced around between those two towns and also got to see what Carpinteria was all about. Steven's place is 7 minutes to the Carpinteria Bluffs where heaven meets earth. The locals are friendly and high in consciousness, they are one with the environment and take pride in their role in keeping it safe. The home itself is spacious with great views, the kitchen was fully stocked with the all the cooking essentials. Instacart delivers to this location if you need anything last minute. During the stay you will hear different sounds of farm animals in the distance which I found relaxing. The living room is comfortable with tons of lounge furniture and space. The outdoor decks have plenty of seating and is surrounded by wildlife. If you want peace come here!

Mili was fabulous! Responded so quickly. Had all that was needed ready for us! Very clean. Great space for a large group. Lots of seating inside and out. Plenty of tables. Lots of parking. Peacocks and bunnies in the yard! We loved our stay as we celebrated our son’s wedding locally! The rec room with the workout equipment was great. Air conditioning worked very well! Highly recommend!

I don't usually write reviews but this one I had to. This was the absolute PERFECT place to stay for our long weekend in Santa Barbara. It was quiet yet very walkable to the beach and various restaurants and shops in downtown Santa Barbara. It was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. Garage access was also helpful for our rental car. We would absolutely stay here again.

This is such a great spot. You cannot beat the location and proximity to the beautiful coastline. Once you park you can have the beach, the lovely resort next door and restaurants at your disposal. The house is very cute and they have fixed it up to match the vibe of the beach community. Connor did a great job taking care of us. He was super responsive and made sure everything was perfect. And it was. Thank you Connor for the great service and providing such a lovely spot.

We enjoyed our time at the Rustic Retreat. Daniel was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. Our family was displaced by the fires in L.A. and Daniel gave us a place to call home on short notice. The beds were cozy, the kitchen supplies ample, and the location serene. His place and hospitality gave us much needed respite. We are truly grateful for the time spent at the Rustic Retreat!

the suit located in the part of the bigger house. it is clean and spacious. things to note: bathroom is separated from the rest of the suite with a curtain, not a door. also, in the evening we could hear voices and laughter from the other part of the house, so the place is not completely sound-proof. other than that, it is a lovely place to stay with lots of personal touch.
