Brilliant location with a quick walk to the beach.Wonderful big house that catered well for our family over from the UK & Oz. The best airbnb we’ve stayed at so far in NZ 😀

It would be impossible to be disappointed in this property. It is absolutely waterfront with the most beautiful view. Cross the lawn and you are paddling in the water or going out on the kayaks that were provided. The home is well appointed and well equipped. There was even a treasure trove of toys. Very clean with comfortable beds. Thank you - we loved our stay

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 5/5 If you’re looking for a peaceful, off-the-grid experience, Urs’s place is for you! We had the most wonderful stay, surrounded by beautiful pine and fern-covered mountains. While it is wifi-free, there is still mobile coverage, and Urs has done a wonderful job with the place, with separate cabins for the kitchen (with an optional sofa bed), one for the bedroom/lounge, and one for the bathroom. There is hot running water, electricity and plenty of electrical sockets. We really enjoyed using the fireplace on a cold, rainy day, and the outdoor BBQ to cook our food on the dry days. Urs is a stellar host, who went above and beyond to make our stay as wonderful as it was, offering great suggestions for local hikes and activities, and was almost always on hand if we needed anything. My only suggestion is if you are sensitive to light, bring an eye mask as it gets quite light in the morning. Would give 6/5 if I could!

Fantastic property in a great location. Great areas with 2 outdoor spaces and really great en-suite with master bedroom being away from the other 2 bedrooms. Really well setup kitchen and amenities. Would definitely recommend this property and we would stay again. Host responded very quickly and check in made easy.

Great affordable accommodation with all the basics for a weekend at the beach. So great to find something so clean and tidy even though it is a older beach cottage!

My great failure was not booking more time to just ~be~ at this cabin. Get there before dark if possible; signage is a little sparse on the several gravel road forks. Super friendly host and amenities as described. 11/10!

Steve is an absolute all star host. Kept us informed of everything prior, and was super helpful and accomodating every step of the way. Our family had a wonderful stay in an immaculate property with a tonne of amenities and everything you could want for a trip away! True to description, great little courtyard for my little dog whom was very at home this place. Super close to everything, beach just over the road coffee shop on the corner, bayfair and the Mt close. Kitchen with everything you need to cook. Very grateful to have a warm easy place to stay with a little dog. Thankyou so so much.

We spent a wonderful Easter weekend at the cottage, and loved being so close to the beach, shops, restaurants and the Mount. Waking up in the morning and walking across the road and straight onto the beach- it was great value for money.
