Steps to Cape Cod Private Beach!

JanellRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We loved this cozy cottage! The private beach was amazing and I was happy to watch the sunrise every morning. The outside porch was great to sit and read and relax without getting all sandy. Everything was smooth, Lauren was fast to respond and the cottage was the perfect place to relax and connect with nature. Highly recommend!!

Oceanfront Oasis

AnnaRating, 5 stars5 months ago
While the weather did not cooperate (it rained the entire time) the cottage and views made up for the weather. From the table to the couch the views are wonderful. The cottage is very well stocked from towels and blankets to the kitchen. We did not need anything that wasn't supplied. The bathroom is small but functional. The shower might not work well for a larger person. The neighborhood is quiet and feels very safe and peaceful. We enjoyed our long weekend and would book this cottage again.

Lovely Day Oceanside

HenryRating, 5 stars1 month ago
"Lovely Day" was the perfect getaway we were hoping for. The place looked exactly like the photos showed: beautiful sun-filled front-room, nice spacious kitchen with an open concept, and the easiest access to a private beach. The place had two bedrooms (one with a queen-sized bed and one with a bed bunk) and a bathroom (with washer and dryer), so it's perfect for a family or a small group of friends. Maybe because it was winter but we were the only ones around, which made our time at the beach even that more enjoyable. Fairhaven is about 10mins away with enough services and restaurants, although we brought everything with us so that we wouldn't have to rely on those. Do note that the exterior and interior walls are a little thin, in case you're sensitive to noise. Overall, a wonderful and peaceful retreat.

The Martini Beach House

StephanieRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This house was perfect for a fall getaway weekend for my family. The owners have done a lovely job renovating--kitchen is gorgeous and seems brand new, the shower is the best I've had in any Airbnb, better than home! The beach was gorgeous, right out the door and we loved long walks with our dogs where we would see barely anyone else. Couches and chairs in the living room were very comfy and we had lovely cozy evenings playing games and watching TV. We will definitely be back!

Walk to your Private Beach! NEW FIRE-PIT!

KyleRating, 5 stars6 months ago
We had a great week as a family in Cape Cod. The house was perfect for our family of five and provided a really nice home base each day. The beach was about a 5 minute walk straight down the road and the supplied beach chairs, wagon and umbrella were perfect. We were able to pick up groceries from the local Stop & Shop on our way into Sandwich and cooked at the house multiple times which had plenty of cookware for our needs, including the outside grill. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely consider staying again.

New dog-friendly 4-brm home. Steps from the beach!

JohnRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Great stay - we were in Hyannis for a wedding and it was the perfect location for the wedding venue but also a great location to explore prior to the wedding. The location allowed easy access to the walk into town or along the beach. The house was perfect - large and accommodating for our group of 8 - lots of room and everyone was able to get ready for the wedding without a problem. Hope to have the occasion to be in the area again and will be a first choice to check on availability. A great experience and highly recommend.

CassandraRating, 5 stars5 months ago
We stayed here with a large group of friends including toddlers and babies for a friend’s wedding. We loved the space, especially sitting out on the deck together, having two separate spaces so some friends could stay up chatting while the kids slept in the other house was excellent. We would highly recommend this house for a fun and relaxing group trip!

Martha's Vineyard Getaway Cottage

JuliaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Marilyn was a great host. When wi-fi went out, she troubleshooted immediately. She provided timely communication with detailed instructions on everything I’d need. I appreciated her quick response times and her accommodating approach. Her cottage is homey and well-loved, a charming and quiet abode for resting. The description provided was accurate with access to a full kitchen and home appliances which made the trip a lot easier than if it didn’t have these features.

Charming Cottage near Beach and Ferry.

LindsayRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We recently stayed at Daniel's Charming Cottage over the Christmas vacation break. The house was charming, quaint, and in a nice/quiet neighborhood, but also a close drive to restaurants and places we were visiting. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathroom and the kitchen were spotless. There is also a cute little coffee nook with a Keurig and a drip coffee pot. When we arrived, the house was chilly, as the house is heated via a mini split and a space heater. However, it didn't take too long for everything to warm up once we figured out how to turn the heat on the mini split. Daniel was incredibly responsive, checking in with us not long after we arrived to make sure we had what we needed. We are hoping to return in the summer - it's only a short walk to the beach from the house! Highly recommend Daniel's place!

Your guide to Martha's Vineyard

All About Martha’s Vineyard

A 45-minute ferry trip from Cape Cod, this Massachusetts island was named after the daughter of Bartholomew Gosnold, a British sailor. The term vineyard is a nod to the vine-like vegetation that’s visible on the island’s coast, however, there’s very little wine-making here. Martha’s Vineyard’s almost 125 miles of shorelines play host to a wide range of leisure activities all year round. Not only are its impressive waves a big hit with thrill-seeking surfers, but its beaches also make for great fishing spots if you’re looking for something a little more low key. Then, there are the hiking trails. A third of all the island’s land is officially protected meaning visitors can bask in unspoiled, picture-perfect landscapes with no modern development in sight. The result? A tranquil escape from reality.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Martha's Vineyard

Martha’s Vineyard welcomes hikers and nature seekers all year long, though the island experiences high winds in June and November. Swimming and surfing are best done in July and August, when the water in the Atlantic Ocean is pleasantly warm but the waves are still rolling in. There’s also a famously tranquil spell between Labor Day and Columbus Day when you can steal some warm weather without the summer holiday crowds.

Top things to do in Martha's Vineyard

Lobsterville Beach

This is one of the quieter stretches of surf and sand on the island. This two- mile-long, dog-friendly beach is a great place to brush up on your snorkeling skills or cast a fly rod for striped bass. You’re also likely to see seagulls dropping their eggs off at nearby nests as they fly ashore. Be warned that non-resident parking is limited, especially on weekends.

Gingerbread Houses

What started out as a 19th-century Methodist campground now attracts the attention of island visitors from across the world. The storybook design of these 300 houses in the Oak Bluffs neighborhood comprises bright colors and candy-like architectural features. Don’t forget to have your camera app ready as photo ops are everywhere.

Local markets

Sampling some of the local produce is an absolute must during your time on the island, and there’s no better place to do it than at one of the local fish markets. There you can find high-quality lobster rolls for a fraction of restaurant prices. And if you’re into cheese then head to a dairy farm to sample some award-winning formulas made using the milk produced by local dairy cows.
