We had an amazing time at Lake Nest! It’s the perfect retreat, and we were thrilled to find a pet-friendly spot for our dog. Our mornings were spent indulging in the wood-fired sauna, cooling off in the lake, and unwinding by the fire—it was the ultimate relaxation. Matt was an excellent host, always quick to respond and ensuring everything was just right. The cottage was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped. We can’t wait to return for another peaceful getaway and highly recommend it for a serene lakeside escape!

Our family of 13 had an amazing Christmas/ new years getaway. Cynthias home is beautiful and was accurately described on the site . There was enough room for all of us to sleep comfortably and enough sitting areas that we were not crowded in anyway. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were comfortable . The kitchen was stocked with everything we could’ve ever required plus more, I think it was our favourite space to hang out in overlooking the water . The location was picturesque and had the weather cooperated would’ve had ample outdoor activities. We enjoyed watching football , lounging by the fire and playing pool . Cynthia was very helpful and prompt with every question that I had and made us feel welcome . Thank you for a memorable family new years .

We visited wolf lake for the first time and wow. Beautiful beach, amazing well kept trails and the falls at the end were amazing. The trailer we stayed in is well kept and was perfect for us. The beach was amazing and the fact that there were different things in the boathouse for the kids to play with was very appreciated. We stayed 2 days but could have easily stayed a week. We met great people and made great memories. I would highly recommend a stay here. There are also cottages for rent and they look fantastic as well! We will be back for longer next year. Thanks for the great stay!

Kim was really communicative and good about making sure we had everything we needed for the weekend. Easily reached, easy to work with. We spent the weekend fishing/snowmobiling and the location was very good for access to Lake Nipissing. Fishing is always good on the South Shore. Space was spacious, clean, multiple bedrooms. Kitchen well stocked. Everything you need.

This was our second stay at The Canoe and it was fantastic, yet again. Always welcomed with fresh baked bread and treated to fresh eggs during our stay. The cabin is perfect for my family of four. It is super clean and well stocked. Looking forward to going back next year. ☺️

Fantastic place to stay. Don’t worry about the cold nights in the winter as the wood stove will make the cottage toasty warm with lots of hard wood in the shed. Large parking area for trucks and trailers. Place is newly renovated inside and out. Quite location in the winter. Will be going back for sure !

We stayed at Tyler, Steph, and Julie's cottage for a Fall fishing trip and it was the perfect spot! The lake is excellent for fishing, large and many places to scope out for all hours of the day... the firepit space was a great fit for our group of 5 to enjoy (we had forgotten our chairs and were thankful to see all the outdoor seating!) The cottage was one of the most well stocked Airbnb's we have stayed in, lots of helpful items in the kitchen. Our group noted we really would love to come back in the Summer time - there were so many games, a horseshoe pit, a whole separate bunkie, and lots of water toys that left us wanting to come back when the temps/waters are warmer with more friends for a true cottage staycation. 5/5, thank you for hosting us!

Love the place. Beautiful, clean, calm and comfy. I went there eith my wife, toddler, and another family of 4, and a friend. Everyone enjoyed this cottage stay. For most of us, this is our first time staying at a cottage. We're lucky our first was such a great one. Susan and Peter were such great hosts. He even offered us to get in the boat showed us around islands and river. We went all the way to Recollet Falls. We were also lucky enough to see up close the fox that visits the cottage almost morning. The boat ride and the fox were the best moments of the whole stay for sure. Recommended 100%
