I love booking at Jean & Richard’s. It’s always an excellent stay. I love the cozy corners to find reprieve. The kitchen is excellent, beds are comfortable, the gardens are peaceful, and the decor is so cool. A must stay in Alpine.

The apartment captures the spirit of Marfa perfectly. I had a fun time exploring all of the quirky details in and around the apartment. It's just far enough to feel private and isolated, but close enough to feel "in town." The bed was super comfortable and I loved the linens and pillows. I enjoyed the locally roasted coffee, too! It was a perfect last-minute stop after staying in Big Bend.

Kiowa sets the standard for clean, cool, well-equipped lodging. My 5th time staying here.

What a comfortable and well appointed home. We instantly felt the space was clean and comfortable and felt right at home. Everything was thought of and we loved the touches of Texas and small details that really made it a special and full of character.

We really enjoyed staying at Russel’s place! It was very quant and cozy with all the amenities. It was fully stocked with all the essentials including everything you need to do laundry, bathroom necessities, kitchen musts like coffee, spices, gadgets etc. This made our stay much easier and more convenient. We also really enjoyed the daily visits from his friendly dog, Archie! Russel was very accommodating and friendly as well. Overall excellent experience!

A great little adobe house that is perfectly appointed, tastefully designed, and super comfortable. If you are looking for an authentic stay in Alpine right across from Sul Ross University, this is the place for you. It fit our family of four just fine and even though it's a small house, there was plenty of room for us and all our gear. Everything about our stay here was easy and we truly felt like we were at home.

Another wonderful stay at the Sunset Ranch. The house was well prepared for the somewhat unexpected wintry weather as well with plenty of prepared firewood and other heating options. Will hope to return again!

The cabin interior was very clean, spacious, and fully equipped with everything we needed for our three-night stay. The surroundings were beautiful, especially watching the sunsets and thousands of stars show up in the sky. Since it is in a dark sky area there is a red porch light for use at night. Waking up to the resident deer each morning was such a treat as well. Despite other lodgings on the property, the cabin felt incredibly private due to its spacing from the other buildings. I didn't hear anyone else while we were there. The fenced-in yard was a huge convenience for our dogs, offering peace of mind during outdoor time. However, it’s worth noting that while the yard was cleared of cacti, there were some stickers/burrs typical of the Texas landscape. We made a habit of checking our dogs' paws after each outing to prevent them from tracking anything inside. Overall, this cabin was a blend of comfort, privacy, and natural beauty, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

This rental was perfect for our stay. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Great place for a reasonable price.

This place was amazing!! The beds in every room were comfortable. The indoor and outdoor spaces felt like home. Maybe the time of year I chose wasn’t the best (week between Christmas/New Year) as most places were closed. Restaurants had limited availability. It should also be noted that the 1st Wednesday of every month there is an aggressive siren that sounds extremely close to the house for a couple of minutes. I only state that so anyone else isn’t caught off guard & think the town is burning to the ground. We all had a good laugh about it afterwards. All in all I’d definitely stay again.
